Destined by One Night: The CEO's Pursuit

Chapter 45

Ch. 45 / 281 Apr 07, 2026

Jeannie raised her eyebrows, and she looked somewhat angry. "This is none of your business!"

Then, Jeannie looked at Malcolm and said, "Mr. Lowe, we made it clear on the phone yesterday. If you don't have any objections, then sign the contract. Arturo has events to attend in the afternoon, so we have to rush back to Goldmere."

"No problem!" Malcolm agreed.

Marilyn glanced at Malcolm and reminded him, "Jeannie, Arturo is about to go to primary school. He does not have much time."

Once the contract was signed, Arturo's life would be tiring.

Jeannie glanced at Marilyn for fear that Marilyn would stop it.

The endorsement fee that Malcolm would pay was especially high, and it could make Marilyn's whole family live a good life.

Jeannie stood up with a smile and whispered in Marilyn's ear, "Lynn, you don't have to worry about this. Arturo doesn't have time, but Dominic does. The two look exactly the same, and even you can't tell them apart sometimes. Do you think outsiders can figure it out?"

Marilyn frowned when she heard this. Dominic never liked to be a spokesperson.

He read books at home every day, and he already knew a lot of words at such a young age.

Marilyn whispered, "Dominic will not agree."

Jeannie glanced at Malcolm, who had been patiently waiting.

It was rumored that Malcolm was not easy to get along with, so this was a good opportunity.

She couldn't give up.

Jeannie whispered again, "Marilyn, you don't have to worry about this. I have my ways to convince Dominic. As long as you agree, everything will be fine."

"You can't get in the way of Arturo's study!" Marilyn felt that her life was good, and she couldn't exhaust Arturo and Dominic!

The two women argued in front of the three men, and the guys blushed!

Sergio was quite surprised. Marilyn was married.

Moreover, Arturo was Marilyn's son, which surprised him.

"Mom, I can do it, you don't have to worry about me." Arturo knew that his mother felt sorry for him.

Marilyn's fortune had been emptied after buying the villa, so Arturo had to make some money to share the burden with her.

Besides, the salary for filming "The Boxing Boy" was quite high.

Laverne liked drawing, and the materials were very expensive. Marilyn could just make ends meet with her current salary.

Jeannie said with a smile, "Ms. Chapman, look, Arturo has agreed. You should not stop him from seeking a bright future."

Marilyn glared at her, walked to Arturo, and said seriously, "Arturo, you are going to school soon. I don't want your studies to be affected."

Arturo, on the other hand, gave her a reassuring smile. His voice was so sweet. "Mom, don't worry. I can finish it before school starts. Once I go to school, I won't film any movies."

Julian watched it with his heart filled with envy!

If Arturo was Malcolm's son, Julian would be very envious.

How could there be such a cute and sensible child in the world?

The son of Julian's sister was two years older than Arturo.

But he still needed others to serve him in his everyday life.

As soon as he returned home from school, he would play games on the phone!

He would never take the initiative to do homework, and the family had to worry about him in everything.

While Arturo was so sensible that Julian even felt sorry for Arturo.

Julian thought, "Malcolm has made a huge mistake!"

Malcolm was going to be the richest man in the country this year, but Malcolm's son had to earn money to support his family and manage his time properly. Malcolm had really made a huge mistake!

Marilyn looked at him quietly. It was all because she, as a mother, did not work hard enough, so Arturo wanted to earn money and share the pressure and suffering with her.

Arturo smiled. Her lips rose slightly. She gently stroked Marilyn's forehead and smiled. "Mom, believe me. I can do it well, and it won't affect my studies."

Marilyn took a deep breath and pursed her lips into a smile. Her eyes were filled with heartbreak.

She then said, "Arturo, since you agreed, then go ahead!"

As soon as Marilyn agreed, not only was Jeannie relieved, but Malcolm breathed a sigh of relief.

The corners of his mouth curled into an enchanting smile.

Malcolm was excited in his heart, but he remained calm on the surface. He was shrewd in business, which meant that he could control his and his business partners' emotions well.

Malcolm looked at Jeannie and smiled politely. "Miss Harrison, let's sign the contract then!"

"Alright!" Jeannie nodded happily.

Malcolm was waiting for this.

Women would always be obsessed with Malcolm.

However, both Jeannie and Marilyn were not material women.

When the two saw Malcolm, they were not as excited as other women.

Jeannie and Marilyn gossiped with each other sometimes, but they were not born for that.

The contract was quickly signed with both Jeannie and Arturo's names on it. Everything went smoothly.

Malcolm glanced at Arturo and stood up. "Today is a great day. I will treat you to breakfast. Miss Harrison, you have to have breakfast with this little celebrity before you leave."

"Okay! Mr. Lowe, we met yesterday morning. Since we didn't have breakfast back then, let's make it up today!" Arturo said happily.

"Malcolm!"

Just as everyone was happy, Debbie's voice came from outside the door.

Malcolm looked up and saw Debbie, who was dressed in a graceful and luxurious manner, walking in with Velma with a smile.

"Mrs. Remington, what's the matter?" Malcolm instantly returned to his usual coldness.

Debbie was not in a hurry to answer Malcolm's question.

Instead, she glanced at Marilyn and Jeannie. The two women didn't look like pushovers.

Marilyn and Jeannie looked at each other. Jeannie met a lot of ladies from rich and aristocratic families. When Jeannie looked at the two walking in, she knew that they were special.

Jeannie smiled and looked at Malcolm. "Malcolm, you have guests?"

"Yeah!" Malcolm nodded indifferently.

"Malcolm!" Velma looked at Malcolm smilingly.

Malcolm looked directly at Debbie and said, "What do you want to talk about, Mrs. Remington?"

Debbie smiled and said, "I do need to talk to you, but it is not convenient for us to talk here. Let's go out for breakfast and talk while eating!"

Malcolm refused without even thinking.

"Mrs. Remington, I'm sorry. I've made an appointment." Malcolm inadvertently glanced at the well-behaved Velma. Debbie must have come because of Velma.

"Oh! Then I came at a bad time, but it's not a big deal. Since you are busy, Malcolm, I will make it brief!"

Debbie pulled Velma to her and said, "Malcolm, you know that Velma studies design. Could you let her work in your company and give her more chances to learn? Your company is the largest clothing manufacturer in Fielddell and the designers there are all elites. She will definitely be able to learn a lot."
