"It is amazing!" Eileen said in admiration.
Eileen thought that the dress looked better because Marilyn wore it. Marilyn was radiant in that dress.
"Thank you!" Marilyn thanked Eileen. She was glad that Eileen appreciated her dress. Actually, she designed it for herself and she loved it very much, too.
Eileen took out a business card from her purse and handed it to Marilyn.
"Miss Chapman, this is my business card. Can I have yours? When the show is over, we can talk. I am very interested in your design," Eileen said.
"That would be great!" Marilyn said as she handed her business card to Eileen.
Then she put Eileen's business card into her purse.
Eileen looked at Marilyn with a smile and said, "Miss Chapman, will you excuse me? We can talk about it later."
Marilyn nodded with a smile.
"Then I should go," Eileen said. She grinned and turned to leave. Eileen was curvy and tall. She looked perfect.
Marilyn looked down. She planned to see the whole exhibition today and walk around Summerford tomorrow because she hardly had time to rest.
Summerford was beautiful.
Marilyn had always wanted to visit this city, but she didn't have the chance to do so in the past.
This time, she had to do what she liked and have a break!
Marilyn grinned and continued to see the works around.
At six o'clock in the evening, Marilyn was hungry, so she left the exhibition hall.
Standing in the bustling street, Marilyn found the evening breeze refreshing and saw the setting sun glowing with red light. The sky was beautiful. Marilyn walked toward the hotel with a grin!
After a day of walking around, Marilyn was tired. She wanted to eat something and then went to bed.
There was a seafood buffet on the top floor of the hotel. Summerford was known for its seafood.
That made Marilyn like this city even more.
She returned to her room on the fifth floor and changed into a pink dress. Then she walked out of the room, her eyes radiant with joy and purity.
Marilyn looked up and saw a man, tall and charming. The man in front of her was good-looking. He looked at Marilyn with a shrewd smile.
Marilyn tensed up. She took a deep breath and asked, "Malcolm, what are you doing here?"
"Lynn, why can't I come here?" Malcolm's voice was deep and intoxicant.
Marilyn was confused. She thought that Malcolm should be working now.
And Marilyn was sure that Malcolm didn't tell her that he was coming to Summerford, too.
Looking at Marilyn's bewildered look, Malcolm thought of an excuse, "Lynn, I have some business to take care of here. Now I have tackled it, so I came back to the hotel."
Looking at Malcolm's perfect but untrustworthy face, Marilyn didn't believe him.
But it was not the problem here.
"I see!" Marilyn said with her head held down. She had a weird feeling about this.
Malcolm remained silent for a while. Marilyn looked up again at Malcolm's exquisite face with a charming smile.
"Well, Mr. Lowe, sorry to bother you. I should go!" Marilyn sounded awkward and even her smile was blank.
Hearing this, Malcolm stopped smiling and said, "Lynn, I have told you that I have finished my work here."
Marilyn's eyes dimmed. Of course, she had heard what he said. Marilyn couldn't understand why such a clever person didn't understand her words. It was obviously an excuse to refuse him!
"Then..." Marilyn said tentatively.
"Lynn, let's have dinner together. You must be very hungry after walking around for a whole day?" Malcolm interrupted Marilyn.
"Don't you have dinner with your client?" Marilyn asked.
"No," Malcolm replied curtly. His job was to accompany Marilyn.
Malcolm knew very well that Marilyn was very busy. She had a job and she had to take care of her children after work. They hardly had time to be alone with each other.
The only purpose Malcolm came here was to spend some time alone with Marilyn. That would be helpful to their relationship.
Marilyn felt that whatever she said, Malcolm wouldn't change his mind.
Malcolm stepped forward and got closer to Marilyn.
Marilyn could smell Malcolm's breathing. Her body tensed up again.
She didn't know why she had this reaction.
Sometimes, Roland would stay that close to her.
However, Marilyn had never felt as nervous as she did around Malcolm.
Malcolm lowered his head and looked at Marilyn's red lips. He wanted to kill her now.
However, the timing wasn't right!
His lips parted. Malcolm said slowly in his deep voice, "Lynn, I want to take you to have dinner by the beach."
Malcolm held Marilyn's hand and walked toward the elevator as he spoke.
"Malcolm, why did you hold my hand? Can't we just walk as usual?" Marilyn complained as she walked forward.
Marilyn thought that she really didn't understand Malcolm now.
Malcolm turned around with a smile and said, "Lynn, the hotel is very big. I am afraid that you will get lost!"
Marilyn was rendered speechless.
She wanted to shake off Malcolm's hand, but Malcolm held her hand so tightly that she couldn't shake it off!
Marilyn thought, 'The elevator was right in front of us. How could I get lost?'
She found Malcolm's excuse so stupid.
Marilyn couldn't help glaring at Malcolm in secret.
The two of them went over and the elevator door opened.
Malcolm pulled Marilyn into the elevator.
Then, he pressed the button at once.
The elevator door gradually closed. Marilyn could see them holding hands through their reflection on the wall.
Malcolm couldn't help smiling.
While Marilyn was not feeling good. Her eyes were blazing with anger.
"Malcolm, will I get lost in the elevator?" Marilyn asked.
Malcolm glanced at her with his mouth quirking up. He said, "Lynn, it is slippery here. I am afraid that you will fall!"
Marilyn didn't know what to say.
She wished that Malcolm could give her a more convincing excuse!
"Let go of my hand!" Marilyn roared.
"I will not! I will never let you go!" Malcolm held Marilyn's hand tightly. His eyes were determined and deep. He said it softly, but he sounded so serious.
Marilyn's eyes widened. She looked at Malcolm unbelievably.
She couldn't be more surprised to hear what Malcolm had just said.
Seeing that Marilyn's cheek turned pink, Malcolm smiled lovingly.
Marilyn blinked her eyes.
She found it hard to resist Malcolm's smile.
"Malcolm, you like me!" Marilyn asked directly.
In fact, she had wanted to ask him this question when he began to approach her!
Malcolm was stunned. He didn't expect that Marilyn would be so straightforward.
But he nodded without hesitation, his eyes brimming with affection.
"But I don't like you!" Marilyn refused coldly.
Malcolm's enthusiasm chilled suddenly. He felt that his heart was broken.
When Marilyn told him that she didn't like him, Malcolm felt that the words were like a dagger to his heart.
