"You punch a lot of people," Sasha said.
"Only for good reasons."
"Only when Brooke is involved."
In this time Brooklyn had managed to pour herself another cup of wine and down it all. She smirked at Harry who shook his head at her.
"B, you're alright though, aren't you?"
Brooklyn grinned. "I'm wonderful."
"You're drunk," Sasha said with a smirk. "Well, I've leave you two-"
"No!" Brooklyn whined. "I want to dance!" She reached out for Sasha who smirked and looked at Harry as she backed away. "I'm going to find Austin, you've got your man right there."
Brooklyn pouted when Sasha disappeared, but she soon busied herself with looking at the alcohol in front of her. She picked up a random bottle and poured some into a cup.
"Brooklyn, don't drink th-"
Brooklyn screwed her face up in disgust when she took a sip and she coughed loudly, the liquid burning her throat. "Ew," she muttered and dropped the cup back on the table. Brooklyn reached for another drink, but she was pulled to side and she squeaked and grabbed onto Harry who turned her to face him.
"I think you've had enough, babe," Harry said and Brooklyn pouted.
"You bore, let me drink!"
Harry walked over to the sink and filled a cup up with water. He passed it to Brooklyn who raised an eyebrow. "Pretend it's vodka?"
"Who in their right mind would drink a whole cup of vodka?" Brooklyn asked.
"Just drink the damn water," Harry sighed.
"Or what? You'll make me?" Brooklyn whispered and giggled.
"Drink, Brooklyn."
"Say please," Brooklyn smirked.
Harry narrowed his eyes. "Please."
Brooklyn grinned. "You do have manners!"
When Harry's expression darkened Brooklyn quickly raised the cup to her lips and drank. As soon as the cup was empty Harry refilled it. It was only when Harry let go of her that she realised how drunk she was. He was helping her stand up.
Brooklyn gripped onto the table when he refilled her third cup of water. "How much have you drunk?" Harry sighed and snaked his arm round Brooklyn's waist, letting her lean onto him.
"Not enough," Brooklyn shrugged and stumbled when she stepped away from Harry. "Oops," she giggled.
"Where are you going?" Harry asked and Brooklyn turned around and crossed her arms over her chest.
"To dance," she said, "and you can't stop me."
Harry took a moment to appreciate how hot Brooklyn looked, despite her drunk state, and he then followed her through the house.
"I love this song!" She squealed and turned to face Harry when they reached the room where everyone was dancing.
"I've never heard it before," Harry shrugged.
"Neither have I!" She giggled. "But I love it!"
Harry rolled his eyes and pulled Brooklyn towards his just as a large group of guys walked past.
"Thanks," she whispered.
"Drink," Harry said lowly and Brooklyn giggled.
"You're always serious," she said. "Smileeee!"
Harry's lips twitched. "You're so drunk."
"Shh!" Brooklyn whispered and placed her finger over Harry's lip. "It's a secret!"
"I think it's pretty obvious you're drunk."
"No, not that, silly," she tutted.
"Then what?"
"I can't tell you, it's a secret," she grinned.
"Tell me, babe."
"Nu uh."
"Why not?"
"I promised I wouldn't say it out loud."
"You can still tell me," Harry said. "In your head. That's not out loud."
Brooklyn rolled her eyes. "Don't be silly."
"Do it. Tell me what you you promised you wouldn't say out loud."
"But I won't be telling you anything. Harry, you're not really in my head you know," she whispered, like it was a secret she was just revealing.
"Babe, just do it."
Brooklyn sighed. "Because you asked so nicely."
She looked up at Harry, his green eyes were staring intently at him. "I'll never say this out loud," she said.
But, I like you, Harry.
Brooklyn frowned.
God, I'm stupid. Talking to myself in my head. I've really gone mental. It's Harry, he's making me mental. Or maybe it's the alcohol... No, it can't be the alcohol, that's ridiculous, I'm not even that drunk. Okay, well maybe I'm a little drunk, but-
"Brooklyn," Harry whispered, closing his eyes. "Shut the fuck up."
Brooklyn looked up at him in confusion. "Eh?"
"I'm in your head, babe," Harry said. "And you talk so damn much."
Brooklyn laughed and rolled her eyes. "Course you are. You can read my mind," she giggled.
Harry raised an eyebrow and didn't say anything. "Drink," he said and Brooklyn sighed dramatically and raised the cup, but she froze suddenly. Her eyes went behind Harry and landed on Josh. Harry followed her gaze and he tensed.
"I... I, um-"
"Let's get out of here," Harry said, wrapping his arms around Brooklyn and pulling her close as Josh neared them.
Brooklyn nodded, wanting to get away from Josh.
"Drink first," Harry said softly and Brooklyn quickly downed the drink and then threw the cup on the floor.
"What about the girls-"
"Kal will tell them," Harry said and guided Brooklyn through the house, acting like a shield for Brooklyn.
Brooklyn took a long breath when they got outside. It was nice to breath fresh air instead of smokey, sweaty, hot air.
Harry's hand went to the small of Brooklyn's back and they walked down the path and across the road to Harry's car. He opened the door for Brooklyn and helped her in. He then reached over and secured her seatbelt.
Brooklyn rubbed her eyes and kicked off her shoes. Harry slid into the drivers seat and turned the engine on.
"Cold?" He asked and Brooklyn nodded. "The alcohol must be wearing off if you're cold," he said and turned the heater up.
"Damn," she murmured as Harry reversed out of his parking spot and drove away from the party. "I'm hungry," she said randomly.
"We can stop and get some food," Harry said.
"I haven't got any money."
"Don't worry about it," Harry said dismissively.
"But-"
"Don't worry about it, babe," Harry repeated and within a few minutes they were driving through a McDonalds drive through.
Harry chuckled when Brooklyn's eyes lit up and he wound the window down, looking up at the McDonalds worker.
"How can I help you?" The worker asked.
"What do you want?" Harry asked Brooklyn.
"Nuggets," she grinned.
"Two large fries, 20 chicken nuggets and a bottle of water," Harry said.
"20?" Brooklyn gasped. "Wow, I'm being spoilt."
"If this is all it takes to impress you then I'm in luck," Harry muttered.
"Drunk me," Brooklyn pointed out. "Sober me is a whole other ballpark."
Harry rolled his eyes and nodded to the McDonalds worker when he was given a bag of food. "Let's go."
*
15 minutes later Brooklyn was sitting on Harry's bed with a box of nuggets in front of her.
She also felt a lot less drunk.
Harry was sitting across from her, picking from the food in front of him.
"Make sure to drink the water," Harry said.
"Yes Dad," Brooklyn huffed. "I'm sobering up anyways."
"Good."
"Harry, why do you live with Greyson and the others?"
"My parent aren't around," Harry said dismissively. "Greyson's parents let me stay here."
"That's nice of them," Brooklyn said.
Harry nodded and Brooklyn ate another nugget.
"Thank you," she said after a while.
"For?"
"For what happened with Josh. If you weren't there-"
"But I was," Harry said sharply. "Don't think about what would have happened, Brooklyn."
Brooklyn nodded.
Once all the food was gone Harry cleared away the rubbish and Brooklyn drank the rest of her water. She looked around Harry's room and spotted a pack of chewing gum on his bedside table.
"Don't mind if I do," she whispered and picked up the packet and put a chewing gum in her mouth.
When Harry returned to the room he looked at the chewing gum packet in Brooklyn's hand and she grinned sheepishly.
"Gum?" She said and held the packet out.
"Since you offered," he said sarcastically and took the packet. He then sat down on the bed and Brooklyn laid back, looking up at Harry.
"Why am I here?"
"Where else could we go?"
Brooklyn frowned. "Maybe I should go."
"You can go," Harry said. "But only if you really want too."
Brooklyn looked into Harry's eyes. "I don't, but I should go."
"No, you shouldn't," Harry said.
"I'm meant to be avoiding you," she said.
"You're doing a shit job."
"You're making it difficult for me."
Harry nodded. "Good."
Brooklyn pouted.
"Babe, if you keep pouting like that I'm not going to be able to control myself," Harry warned.
The words came out before she could stop them. "Then don't."
*
Brooklyn was alert. She was aware of everything going on around her and she was very aware of Harry's lips on hers.
She should have stopped this ages ago, but his kiss was too hard to deny.
It felt so good.
Brooklyn moaned and Harry smirked, he knew what he did to her. He knew the addicting sparks she felt when she touched him. He knew that one little touch made her nerves ignite and left her wanting more.
"I shouldn't be doing this," Brooklyn whispered.
"Shut up," Harry mumbled and Brooklyn gasped when he trailed kisses down her neck, sucking on a sweet spot on her collarbone.
"I'm meant to be avoiding you and I'm clearly crap and doing that and-"
"Stop talking," Harry growled and crashed his lips to Brooklyn's.
She said she shouldn't be doing this, but she really wanted it.
Brooklyn hooked a leg over Harry's and wrapped her arms round his neck. He broke the kiss for a few minutes to stare down at her, tucking a blonde hair behind her ear.
Brooklyn stopped the staring when she pulled Harry closer to her and pressed her lips to his. He smiled into the kiss.
Harry was firm, rough, controlling. It was a battle the whole time between them, Brooklyn trying to gain control but failing miserably.
But she liked it.
Brooklyn's hands started to move before she could stop them and they went to Harry's belt on his jeans.
"Brooklyn," he said sternly and caught her hands, quickly pinning them above her head. "You're drunk, slow down."
"I wish I was drunk," Brooklyn said, she was a little breathless. "At least then I'd have an excuse for doing this."
"You want to?" Harry asked cautiously. "Even after what happened with J-"
"I... Yes," she whispered and Harry slowly released her hands.
"And you're completely sober?"
"I am."
"If you're uncomfortable at all then just say the word," Harry said seriously.
Brooklyn nodded and Harry cupped her face, staring at her intently. Brooklyn fidgeted when the pressure in her head increased, but it disappeared within seconds.
Harry then smirked slightly and in one smooth motion pulled his tshirt over his head and kissed Brooklyn again.
Brooklyn's hands worked on their own. She unbuckled Harry's belt and tugged his jeans down. When they were off Harry grabbed Brooklyn and pulled her up into a sitting position so he could pull her dress over her head.
Brooklyn felt no awkwardness at all as Harry's eyes flickered over her body. They did land on a bad scar on her side and Harry sensed Brooklyn's discomfort when she saw him looking at him.
"That's a story for another time," she whispered and Harry chucked Brooklyn's dress across the room. He kissed her again and within minutes there were more clothes thrown across the room and Harry linked his hands with Brooklyn's, pinning her arms above her.
"I need to say one thing," Harry murmured.
"What?"
"I like you too, babe."
Before Brooklyn had time to figure out how he knew what she had said, in her head, he thrust in and there was only one thought in her mind.
