Vania's POV
The next day, in order to prevent Veronica from suspecting anything, I still went to the commercial street with Cliff.
However, I knew in my heart that Cliff wasn't going shopping with me, but rather to meet Melinda.
When we arrived at the seventh floor dining place, I sat down in the restaurant while Cliff made an excuse to go to the restroom.
From a distance, I saw Melinda standing outside the restaurant, anxiously looking inside.
I pretended to drink water as if nothing had happened, but suddenly I received a call from Grace on my phone.
I answered the phone and Grace, on the other end of the line, said angrily, "Vania! Is that guy Cliff next to you?"
"What happened?"
"This jerk! He has made a mess of my company these past few days! I must give him a good lesson!"
"What did you say?" I asked, furrowing my brow. "Did Cliff lay hands on your company?"
I remember three days ago when I went back to the Todd family, Grace said she had to go back to the company for an urgent matter.
I never expected that Cliff would actually go after Grace's company for Melinda.
"This guy is very cunning in his actions. At first, I thought it was done by a competitor, but it turns out that many entrepreneurs have been withdrawing their investments these days. I went from one gathering to another, trying to persuade them to stay, but I couldn't keep them. Finally, I caught hold of someone and asked them. That person said it was Cliff who spread the word, saying that anyone who invests in the Gilbert family is going against him!"
Grace became more and more angry as she spoke, but my heart sank.
I knew Cliff's methods, but I never expected him to go this far for Melinda.
Although her last name is Gilbert, everyone knows that Grace is Mr. Winston's granddaughter.
Going against the Gilbert family is equivalent to offending Mr. Winston, even though Cliff is foolish, he should not have targeted Grace.
"Don't worry, leave it to me to handle," I hung up the phone.
I hadn't made up my mind about Cliff and Melinda before, but now it seems that I was still too soft-hearted.
Cliff had no intention of letting Grace off the hook.
Cliff was not moral, so don't blame me for being impolite.
After a moment, I stood up and walked towards the outside of the restaurant.
Sure enough, just as I had stepped out, I saw Cliff going to buy coffee for Melinda, and the two of them were walking side by side.
Melinda also took the initiative to hug Cliff, and I immediately picked up my phone and took a photo.
I felt someone taking photos, and Cliff looked in my direction.
I didn't hesitate and directly waved my phone in front of the two of them.
Upon seeing this, Cliff immediately rushed towards me in an attempt to snatch the phone, but I quickly put it away.
The mall was crowded, and Cliff didn't dare to snatch forcefully.

"Is that so? What are you doing now?"

I asked back, "Is it realizing that you have no money left, not knowing how to live anymore, or feeling sorry for yourself and wanting Cliff to see your pitiful appearance now?"
Melinda's face turned even uglier. "Luna Vania, I didn't think that way!"
"Vanessa! Enough!" Cliff said, frowning. "Melinda had an accident, she was injured and yet she was kicked out, all because of you guys. Why are you still so sarcastic?"
"Was I sarcastic?" I sneered, "You didn't think you were being sarcastic when you targeted the Gilbert family!"
Cliff probably didn't expect me to find out the news so quickly, but soon he coldly said, "If you harm others, you must pay the price. I'm just giving a little punishment."
"Harmful? Melinda got hit by a car herself, why blame Grace? She disrupted the sale of the Gilbert family's properties and insinuated against me in front of everyone. I haven't even confronted her yet, but you're standing up for her. You two are really birds of a feather, disgusting!"
Cliff's face darkened, and Melinda said with a look of grievance, "Luna Vania, I don't understand why you would say such things. I just sincerely wanted to apologize to Miss Gilbert, but she accused me of being a third party without asking for any reasons... Cliff and I have always been innocent!"
"Oh, pure and innocent, crying in his arms, refusing to leave the Todd family, that's purity."
"Vania, did you have to speak so sarcastically?"
Cliff stood in front of Melinda, and his voice also became colder.
I didn't feel like wasting time talking to Cliff at that moment, so I went straight to the point and said, "If you don't want this photo to be seen by the old lady, it's best to do as I say."
