Third Person's POV
But soon, Grace realized the problem. She looked Vanya up and down and said, "But with you in this state, it's not really possible to keep quiet..."
This time, the car accident had left Vanya bruised all over. There was no way she could disappear for over a month right after the company was established.
Grace sighed in frustration, "And before I came to the hospital, I already let Derrick know..."
Vanya opened her mouth but didn't say anything.
If Derrick knew, then Theodore...
Bang! The door to the Thunder Pack's Packhouse was flung open. A group of men in black poured in.
Aldridge and Mirabel, who had just arrived home, took several steps back in fright.
"Honey! What's going on?!" Mirabel hid behind Aldridge in fear.
"Where are the pack guards! Call the pack guards!" Aldridge tried to stay calm, but his face turned pale when he saw his own guards being escorted in by the men in black.
"Who are you? What do you want?"
At that moment, Theodore walked in through the door of the Thunder Packhouse.
Seeing Theodore, Aldridge nervously swallowed and said, "Theo... Theodore?"
Theodore walked in and casually pulled up a chair to sit down.
Aldridge said, "What do you mean by this? Our pack has never wronged you!"
Theodore nodded and smiled, "Alpha Aldridge, you haven't wronged me."
"Then why did you barge into my home?"
"You haven't wronged me, but your son has."
"Elmer? How could Elmer have wronged you?" Aldridge looked bewildered.
Theodore raised his hand, and someone next to him brought out a laptop. It played surveillance footage from the Thunder Pack's garage.
The video clearly showed Elmer sneaking into the garage late at night, cutting the brake lines of Vanya's car, and then slipping away quietly.
Aldridge's face turned uglier by the second, and Mirabel, watching beside him, also looked horrified. "This can't be true! How is this possible?!"
Aldridge was trembling with rage. "Where is Elmer? Bring that bastard here!"
Aldridge shouted, and Elmer, who had been in his room upstairs, was woken by the commotion downstairs. He walked out grumpily, "I'm sleeping!"
As soon as Elmer spoke, he saw the house filled with men in black. His face changed instantly.
"Dad, Dad...!" Elmer took a few steps back, but Theodore's men immediately grabbed his arms and dragged him down.
Elmer struggled, "What are you doing! Let go! Let me go!"
Elmer was pinned to the ground, and Mirabel rushed forward to hug him. "What do you want to do to my son?"
"Who are you people! What are you doing in my house?" Although Elmer was scared, as the only teenager in the family, he still had some bravado.
Theodore sat with his legs crossed, coldly watching Elmer on the ground.
Aldridge grabbed Elmer's arm and said furiously, "I'm asking you, did you have anything to do with Vanya's car accident? Tell me!"
"M-me...?" Elmer stammered but still tried to act tough, "How could it be me! Why would you say that?!"
"Look for yourself!" Aldridge pointed to the laptop on the table, which was still playing the footage of Elmer entering the garage and cutting the brake lines.
Elmer's face turned pale. "How is this possible? I erased the footage!"
Aldridge slapped Elmer across the face. Mirabel gasped, "Aldridge! How could you hit Elmer for outsiders! Are you even a father?"
"You shut up! This is all because of your lousy parenting! Elmer tried to kill someone!" Aldridge was trembling with anger. "Thankfully, Vanya is okay. Otherwise, I would have killed him myself!"
Mirabel knew she was in the wrong and could only protect Elmer, crying softly.
Theodore watched the whole scene coldly from the side.
Aldridge realized there were outsiders present and said to Theodore, "Mr. Winston, I understand your point, but this is my family matter. Could we..."
Theodore stood up. He hadn't intended to make things difficult for Vanya's family. He just wanted to make sure Aldridge could handle it since he was worried Aldridge wouldn't be able to find out who did it.
"Since it's a matter of the Thunder Pack, I'll leave it to Alpha Aldridge to deal with," Theodore said indifferently. "But if Alpha Aldridge doesn't handle it properly, I won't mind taking matters into my own hands."
Aldridge's face changed slightly. Theodore's words clearly meant he should deal with it severely.
"I understand. I won't show any favoritism," Aldridge nodded repeatedly.
Theodore raised his hand, and the bodyguards dispersed.
Theodore said lazily, "Let's go."
"Yes!" In a short while, everyone left the Thunder Pack's Packhouse.
Elmer stood up defiantly and shouted at the retreating figures, "Who are those people! Are we just going to believe whatever they say? Dad! How could you trust them?"
"Shut up!" Aldridge slapped Elmer again, leaving Elmer in disbelief.
