Melinda's POV
I was still waiting for Cliff in the living room when I saw him come back with a gloomy face, and my heart sank.
I couldn't help but ask tentatively, "Luna Vania... didn't she come back with you?"
Cliff's expression grew even colder, as if a layer of ice had formed: "If she doesn't want to come back, she never has to come back."
Upon hearing Cliff's words, I secretly rejoiced in my heart.
Vania was such a foolish woman, even though she had such a good opportunity to win Cliff's heart, she stubbornly refused.
But it's also good for me this way, as long as Vania is not among the wolf pack, I have plenty of opportunities to get close to Cliff and eventually win his heart.
I looked at Cliff's profile, the lines were cold and charming, and I always believed that I would definitely get him.
Because in the past, I could always vaguely feel that Cliff had a liking for me.
And he was always different with me, compared to how he was with others.
This uniqueness made me firmly believe that I was different in his heart.
Vania's POV
The next morning, I groggily woke up from bed.
I opened my eyes and saw a white ceiling, the surrounding decoration was so unfamiliar that it left me puzzled.
I rubbed my still slightly painful head and tried to recall yesterday's events. I only remembered going to the nightclub with Grace in the evening and finding a call boy.
Later, Derek and Theodore found me and took me away. When I was in the car, it seems like I fell asleep, and I have no recollection of what happened afterwards.
"Dong dong," the door was gently knocked.
I responded, "Please come in."
The person who opened the door was Grace. She looked at me apologetically and said, "Vania, I'm really sorry. I drank too much yesterday."
"It's okay, I'm actually quite happy," I responded with a smile.
"Hurry up and get ready! It's time to eat!" Derek shouted in the kitchen.
I got out of bed and as soon as I walked out of the room, I saw Theodore and Derek both in the living room.
The decoration of this room was very dull and monotonous, with no variation even in the color scheme. The furniture was placed in a very simple yet orderly manner, without any hint of disorder.
However, I could tell that the furnishings in the room were unique and completely different from the mass-produced items sold on the market.
"What are you daydreaming about? Hurry up and get ready, I've already prepared breakfast," Derek couldn't help but urge as he watched me in a daze.
I subconsciously tugged at the lace, only to suddenly realize that I was wearing pajamas.
Grace quickly understood my confusion, she leaned in close to my ear and whispered, "It was Theodore who brought Omega to help you change."
"Is this the Theodore residence?" I asked softly.
"Yeah," Grace nodded and continued, "Theodore used to live in Los Angeles when he was little, but he left Los Angeles, and this place remained vacant for a long time."
I nodded, having a rough idea in my mind.
Grace took my hand and said, "Let's go freshen up and let them be busy."
To be precise, Derek was busy, he was busy inside and out, just like a thoughtful butler.
"How did I come back last night?" I couldn't help but ask.
Grace shook her head and said helplessly, "I don't know either, when I opened my eyes, it was already bright outside."
I only remember Theodore letting me sleep for a while, and after that, I had no idea what happened.
Thinking about the awkward look after drinking yesterday, I felt a bit embarrassed.
"It was nothing more than my younger brother who brought you back, hehe. My brother, he's a very considerate person! He has never even hugged me, his older sister, from childhood to adulthood!" Grace had a knowing expression on her face and even winked at me.
After hearing her words, I felt a little embarrassed.
When I came out of the bathroom, I saw Theodore sitting at the table, and my heart started beating uncontrollably.
Derek turned around and asked with a puzzled expression, "Vanessa, why is your face so red? Are you running a fever?"
As soon as Derek spoke, the three people's gaze immediately fell on me.
I quickly withdrew my thoughts and reached out to touch my burning cheek, saying somewhat anxiously, "Maybe... I caught a cold."
"Colds should not be taken lightly. I will have Theodore take you to the hospital later." Grace, who was standing by, was like an enthusiastic audience, wishing to create an opportunity for Theodore and me to be alone immediately.
I shook my head and quickly said, "It's nothing major, it'll be fine in a while."
Grace pulled me to sit down, and I noticed that Theodore had a simple breakfast, while the breakfast in our three plates was nutritious.
Yesterday, I had just finished drinking alcohol and I always wanted to eat something with a strong flavor. I didn't expect to have food with a rich taste early in the morning. It was really appetizing.
Theodore only took two bites before getting up to clean the cutlery. Seeing him holding clothes to go out, Derek asked, "Where are you going so early in the morning?"
"Go out for a while," Theodore said simply, and then closed the door.
Derek muttered quietly, "Why go out so early?"
Grace looked extremely frustrated, and said, "What an immature person!"
