Vania's POV
"I wanted you to spare the Gilbert family and compensate them at the same time."
It is impossible for Cliff to apologize now, and apologizing in this way, which only requires moving the lips without any cost, is not worth compensating for.
Cliff said coldly, "It's impossible."
"Impossible? Well then, I will show this photo to Madam and let her know that you deceived her. Even if you came out with me today, it was to continue your relationship with her." I said calmly.
Anyway, I didn't have any loss, on the contrary, it was Melinda who had all her scholarships and living expenses cut off by the old lady.
I really couldn't imagine how Melinda would be treated if this photo fell into the hands of the old lady.
Melinda's face turned pale instantly when she heard me say that.
"Did you threaten me?"
"Yes, I was the one who threatened you."
I had no intention of wasting my breath with Cliff, after all, I was the one holding the evidence now, and I had the full ability to threaten him.
"Cliff..."
Melinda looked at Cliff with a sense of grievance, as if tears could fall at any moment.
Cliff looked at Melinda's appearance and could only say, "How do you want to make it up?"
"The Gilbert family has suffered losses, and you must compensate them twice as much. From now on, you must not cause any trouble for the Gilbert family."
"Sure."
Cliff agreed readily, and I knew it was because of Melinda's influence.
After all, Melinda had already suffered so much, how could Cliff bear to let her be wronged?
"Now instruct the finance department to handle it, I want to see the results today."
"Vania, did you have to be so stubborn?"
"I have always been like this, you didn't just meet me today." I maintained a cold attitude, leaving Cliff speechless for a while. In the end, he had no choice but to make a call to the finance department.
Afterwards, Melinda was by Cliff's side, tears streaming down her face, saying, "It's all my fault. If it wasn't for coming to see me, Luna Vania wouldn't have caught you and you wouldn't have suffered so much loss..."
I was still here, watching Melinda perform on stage. I just smirked and couldn't be bothered.
"It wasn't your fault."
Cliff comforted Melinda on the side, then gave me a cold glance, clearly saying, "This is my fault."
In no time, I received a message from Grace, and after confirming that her crisis had been resolved, I said to Cliff, "Alpha Cliff, have a good time shopping with the two of them. I'll leave first."
I spoke in a casual tone and then turned around and left.
Cliff shouted behind Vania, "Vania, Grace is just a stranger. You will regret fighting with me over a stranger like this!"
"Cliff, I waited for the day when you would regret."
I glanced at Melinda with an ambiguous look, but Cliff couldn't understand the meaning in my eyes at all now.
Melinda was still by Cliff's side, pretending to be weak, with her eyes red from crying.
I left the shopping mall and drove away in a luxury car.
When I arrived at Grace's company, Grace was happily jumping up and down while looking at the just received amount.
"Vania! You were amazing, is that scumbag's face looking particularly ugly now?"
Grace didn't expect Cliff to be able to compensate this amount, but she didn't mind the money anyway. Although there was a little trouble, she knew she would come out ahead in the end!
"Has the compensation been received?"
In just an hour's time, even Grace didn't expect it to happen so quickly.
Grace said, "I guess he must have used his personal account to transfer money to my company, otherwise it wouldn't have arrived so quickly. Oh, this Cliff, he must be afraid of losing face, that's why he used his own money to send it to me."
I noticed that there was no sign of Theodore and Derek in the company, so I couldn't help but ask, "Where are they? Why aren't they here for such a big event in the company?"
"Theodore, that temper of his, couldn't find anyone when he first found out about the company's trouble. He even warned me not to tell you. He probably knew early on that it was Cliff's doing and was getting ready to retaliate against him."
I nodded thoughtfully.
Theodore wanted revenge, which was perfectly normal, but... why did he keep it a secret from me?
"I called you today because I was really angry, but now I realize that if Theodore finds out, he will definitely be mad at me when he comes back!"
Grace was a little annoyed, I said, "Now that everything is resolved, you should quickly call Theodore and not cause any trouble."
This is Los Angeles after all, and Cliff was right when he said that Los Angeles is his territory.
Currently, even though Theodore has a background in Los Angeles, he still cannot compete with Cliff, and in the end, he will only cause trouble.
If I were to push Cliff to the limit, I'm not sure what would happen.
"Don't worry, Theodore knows his limits when it comes to handling things. At most, he will just cause a few troubles for Cliff's company for a few days."
