Ethan raised his eyes and glanced outside the car window, then slowly curled his lips.
He smiled.
But the smile didn't reach his eyes, giving people an eerie chill.
A bad premonition emerged in Samantha's heart.
Under her pleading gaze, Ethan leaned in.
Samantha felt an overwhelming aura coming at her, making it hard to breathe. Various things seemed to explode in her head—nervousness, panic, and confusion.
Ethan leisurely admired the colorful expressions on her face, his slender fingers gently pulling.
The car door opened.
Samantha: “...”
Ethan's eagle-like black eyes firmly captured her. His thin lips slightly curved, and he coldly uttered two words, "Get out."
Samantha's gaze crossed Ethan's body, and she saw that Justin had already walked to the front of the car, exploring the area with his eyes, looking in her direction.
Her blood seemed to rush to her head. Her mind felt hot. Gripping Ethan's collar, she pulled him closer and accurately kissed Ethan's thin lips.
When Justin glanced over, he happened to see Ethan kissing Samantha. He immediately awkwardly looked away.
Coincidentally, Karen also caught up. Seeing the two people kissing inside the car, a blush appeared on her pretty face. She coughed twice, feeling embarrassed, "Cough, people nowadays are so open, don't they know how to be discreet in broad daylight?"
"Don't disturb them; let's go!" Justin was disappointed that he didn't find Samantha.
Karen nodded, walking alongside him, asking, "Justin, didn't you catch up with Samantha?"
The response was silence.
Karen continued, "Justin, maybe you mistook the person. If Samantha is in the capital, why wouldn't she contact us?"
Justin sighed disappointingly, "Maybe I did mistake the person after all..."
The voices gradually faded until they were completely unheard.
Samantha suddenly breathed a sigh of relief. When she came to her senses, she realized that Ethan was in a very ambiguous position, leaning over her. Her hand was firmly gripping his collar, and their lips were tightly pressed together.
Ethan's narrow eyes widened, shocked and almost incredulous, as he looked at her. It seemed like he had received quite a shock.
Time seemed to stand still.
A mysterious atmosphere flowed in the car.
Thump, thump, thump.
Their hearts were beating like drums, rapidly and uncontrollably.
The familiar yet unfamiliar fragrance filled the air.
Ethan's deep black eyes suddenly contracted.
This scent again.
The most primal desire within him was instantly awakened. It felt as if a fire had been lit in his chest, and his entire body's blood was burning.
Sensing his body's change, Samantha, as if possessed, pushed him away.
Caught off guard, Ethan's back of the head hit the rearview mirror, and he groaned in pain. Frost covered his entire face, making him look like a terrifying demon from hell, instilling panic.
"Sorry... I'm sorry..." Samantha, shocked, kept apologizing, reaching out to touch the back of his head. However, Ethan waved her hand away.
A cold gaze swept over from Ethan.
Samantha felt an icy chill, as if she had entered the frigid depths of Antarctica.
Ethan squeezed out a sentence through his teeth, "Disappear from my sight immediately."
The tone was icy, wrapped in a layer of frost.
The crisis was averted, and Samantha didn't want to stay any longer. After giving a conciliatory 'OK' gesture to Ethan, she opened the car door and fled.
As the person left, the lingering scent remained trapped in the cramped car for a long time.
Ethan impatiently loosened his tie, attempting to dispel the restlessness within him.
Damn it.
He actually felt the most primal urge towards a stranger.
This was the first time such a situation had occurred.
That woman must be deliberately tempting him.
It must be!
Frustrated, Ethan opened the car door and walked towards the outpatient department.
Noah and Charlotte, waiting for Samantha, held hands and were about to go find her.
As they entered the lobby, Charlotte saw Ethan walking in from outside and excitedly pointed, "Brother, it's Dad! Dad is coming to find us!"
Noah followed her pointing finger.
The moment he saw Ethan, he involuntarily took a sharp breath.
He couldn't believe it.
Charlotte's father was actually his father.
So, that meant his mother was really Samantha, not Suzy?
As this thought flashed through Noah's mind, before he could process it, he heard Charlotte enthusiastically shouting, "Dad, Dad, I'm here!"
He was stunned, his mind momentarily blank.
In the noisy lobby, Ethan faintly heard someone calling 'Dad' behind him. For some reason, a cute little face flashed through his mind, and he suddenly turned around.
Aside from the bustling patients, he didn't see any suspicious child.
Ethan furrowed his brows slightly, thinking he might have misheard, and didn't dwell on it, striding away.
Noah pulled Charlotte to hide behind a bench until Ethan disappeared from view before releasing the hand covering Charlotte's mouth.
Charlotte, with teary eyes, looked at Noah plaintively, "Brother, why did you cover my mouth? Why didn't you let me go find Dad?"
Seeing her cry, Noah panicked and quickly wiped her tears, gently soothing her, "Don't cry. Did you forget that we're supposed to find Miss Samantha? If you follow Dad and Miss Samantha comes back and can't find us, she will be worried."
Charlotte sniffed forcefully, looking at Noah strangely, "Miss Samantha? Brother, you can't directly call Mom's name; it's impolite."
Realizing his slip of the tongue, Noah quickly corrected, "I mean Mom! Let's go find Mom quickly!"
Successfully diverting her attention, Noah was about to resume their search for Samantha when he saw her peeking around, acting furtively, and gesturing for them to follow.
Charlotte shouted excitedly, "Mom!"
Samantha immediately made a hushing gesture, pulling them away swiftly.
Unbeknownst to them, after Samantha left, a graceful figure emerged from behind a pillar. Her eyes, unblinking, followed Samantha's departure. Taking out her phone, she dialed a number.
"Suzy, Samantha is back. I saw her with your son, and there's a little girl with them too..."
