CEO's Genius Triplets

Little Devil

Ch. 18 / 178 Feb 27, 2026

Ethan brought Alexander to the hospital to find Nick.

Alexander looked at Nick as if he were a completely unfamiliar stranger and asked Ethan in confusion, "Daddy, why did you bring me to the hospital?"

Nick hesitated for a moment, then walked up to Alexander and asked, "Don't you recognize me?"

Alexander retorted as a matter of course, "I don't waste brain capacity remembering unimportant people."

Nick felt like his heart was stabbed hard, blood flowing out. He forced a smile, looked at Ethan, and said, "Indeed, he's your son. His mouth is as sharp as yours."

Then, something occurred to him. He shifted his gaze back to Alexander, widened his eyes, and said incredulously, "Say what you just said again?"

Alexander rolled his eyes at him and said, "I don't say things twice. I never talk nonsense."

Nick looked at him in surprise and then at Ethan, questioning him with his eyes about what was going on.

Noah had always been quiet and reserved, not good at socializing.

But today, Noah, who used to be reticent, spoke eloquently, with a sharp tongue and no sign of autism.

More importantly, his personality seemed completely different from before, just in a matter of days.

How did he change so much in such a short time?

Ethan didn't answer him, saying coldly, "Let's begin!"

Nick nodded, telling the psychologist on the side, "Dr. Lee, please conduct a psychological assessment for him. His father and I will be waiting outside. Call us if there's any situation."

Dr. Lee nodded, and Nick took Ethan out of the therapy room.

Ethan stood silently outside the door, his face serious. He quietly took out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.

Nick glanced at the no-smoking sign posted in the corridor, pursed his lips, and swallowed the words of dissuasion.

He knew Ethan too well.

Ethan didn't usually smoke unless he was in an extremely bad mood or had something on his mind.

Now that Noah's condition was uncertain, he was under pressure, and smoking to relieve stress was reasonable.

Nick sighed inwardly, walked to Ethan's side, and comforted him by patting his shoulder. "Don't worry too much. Dr. Lee is the most authoritative psychologist in Country A. Noah just shows signs of depression. With timely treatment, he should be able to recover."

Ethan remained silent, extinguishing the cigarette butt, and waited quietly for the assessment results.

The waiting time was particularly agonizing.

After what felt like an eternity, the office door finally opened.

As Ethan and Nick composed themselves to go inside, they saw Alexander stretching lazily, walking out refreshed, with a smile on his face.

Behind them, Dr. Lee looked disheveled, as if he had experienced quite a shock.

Both Ethan and Nick were taken aback.

Before they could inquire about the situation, Alexander spoke first, "You guys are boring. I'm perfectly healthy, no issues at all. Why see a psychologist!"

“..."

Someone who could say such things didn't seem like a person with tendencies towards depression.

Ethan furrowed his brows and asked Dr. Lee in a deep voice, "How is he?"

Dr. Lee, a middle-aged man in his forties with average build and black-framed glasses, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and tried to sound calm, "It's really strange. The assessment results from the last time clearly showed that Noah had signs of depressive tendencies. But just a few days later, the results are completely different. Not only does he not have depression, but he's also... um... unusually active. I think anyone could get depression, but he definitely won't."

“...”

“Do we really not need any treatment?" Ethan asked.

Dr. Lee was very assertive, "Really not needed. He's very healthy, no problems at all. You can go home."

His tone was urgent, as if he wanted them to disappear immediately.

Alexander immediately took Ethan's hand, smiled, and said, "Daddy, let's go home! The hospital smells of disinfectant, and it's awful. I don't like it."

Ethan hesitated for a moment, his deep eyes glancing at Dr. Lee, then left with Alexander.

Nick watched them leave. Once they disappeared at the end of the corridor, he asked Dr. Lee, "Dr. Lee, what happened in there just now?"

Otherwise, how could it make a psychologist so flustered?

Dr. Lee patted his chest with lingering fear, "This kid is too clever. I almost got hypnotized by him just now. Anyone who can hypnotize a psychologist definitely doesn't have depression."

Thinking about the scene just now sent shivers down his spine.

That kid was too cunning, always able to avoid his questions perfectly and throw back another question, entangling him.

When he tried to hypnotize him, the kid actually managed to break his hypnosis and almost hypnotized him in return.

This wasn't a normal child!

He was practically a little devil.

He wasn't like this during the last treatment.

In just a few days, it was like a completely different person.

It was terrifying.

“...” Nick was dumbfounded. What kind of extraordinary son did Ethan produce?
