CEO's Genius Triplets

At Fault

Ch. 13 / 178 Feb 27, 2026

Samantha sat on the sofa and glanced at the time on her phone.

It was already half-past nine.

Ellena had not arrived yet.

She sent a message to Wendy, asking her to hurry up.

Suddenly, a dark shadow enveloped her, and a chilling coldness appeared around her.

She abruptly raised her head and saw Ethan standing in front of her, arrogantly looking down at her. His perfect jawline and sexy Adam's apple radiated an irresistible charm under the crystal palace-like light.

Samantha's breath skipped a beat, and her heart suddenly raced.

She subconsciously swallowed.

Taking in her expression, Ethan furrowed his brow slightly, a trace of disdain passing through his eyes. He immediately shifted his attention and said expressionlessly, "The meal you prepared doesn't suit the young master's taste. I'll have the butler settle your wages. Please leave immediately."

Did he really mistake her for a cook?

Samantha took out her business card again and introduced herself, "Mr. Steele, I think you've misunderstood. I..."

Before she could finish speaking, Ethan impatiently interrupted, "I'm not interested in women who throw themselves at me. Don't appear in front of me again."

Samantha was left speechless by his arrogance.

Although she had planned a series of schemes to seduce Suzy's fiancé when she returned to England, it was all out of revenge against Suzy. She truly had no interest in him.

Ethan ordered, "Butler, escort the guest out!"

The butler stood there, torn between wanting to explain Samantha's identity and fearing to anger his employer.

Samantha helplessly looked at him. Good manners told her not to lose her temper and to endure.

But she couldn't help but want to punch him.

For a moment, the atmosphere became somewhat tense.

Just then, Jade led four women in their forties into the room. "Sir, I've found four cooks for the young master. He can choose one that satisfies him."

As his words fell, the surroundings fell into a dreadful silence.

A strange atmosphere permeated the air.

Looking at the four middle-aged women behind Jade, Ethan narrowed his eyes and asked, "Are these the cooks you found?"

Jade nodded.

Ethan looked coldly at Samantha and asked, "Then who are you?"

Samantha handed her business card to him, saying, "I am Lila, the Chief Jewelry Designer of Skylight Group. I had a meeting with Miss Ellena here at nine o'clock to discuss collaboration."

Upon hearing this, Ethan's eyes flickered with embarrassment. He cleared his throat a couple of times, adjusting his tie to cover up, "Why didn't you reveal your identity from the beginning?"

Allowing him to misunderstand all along.

It was obviously intentional.

Samantha shrugged helplessly, "I was going to explain, but you didn't give me a chance! You even thought I was the kind of improper woman trying to seduce you."

Awkward.

Very awkward.

Ethan's earlobes turned slightly red, and he shot a stern look at the butler, placing all the blame on him.

The butler was full of grievances. He wanted to introduce her earlier, but the master didn't allow it, leading to this misunderstanding. It really wasn't his fault!

Ethan, feeling displeased, ordered coldly, "Go and taste the dishes!"

Jade, not knowing why the boss suddenly got angry, dared not ask more questions. He led the four cooks to the kitchen.

Ethan looked at Samantha, finding her presence irritating.

Samantha felt inexplicable, not understanding why she, who was clearly wronged, was made to seem like she was at fault.

Seeing the atmosphere becoming tense again, a graceful figure slowly walked in, breaking the deadlock.

The woman wore a white long T-shirt and tight jeans. Despite her slender figure, she was well-proportioned.

She had no makeup, a completely natural face with fair and tender skin. Her hair was tied up in a bun, revealing a naturally sculpted small face. Her eyes were large and bright, resembling a harmless college student.

Her appearance bore some resemblance to Ethan, about four or five points.

But their temperaments were completely different.

Ethan was cold and arrogant, with a powerful aura that wasn't easy to approach.

The woman, on the other hand, was the opposite--adorable and innocent, like a sunflower, full of vitality.

Samantha guessed her identity and smiled, extending her hand, "Miss Ellena, hello, I'm Lila."

Ellena shook her hand, her brows and eyes curved, smiling innocently, "Hello, I'm really sorry. I encountered a traffic accident on the way here, delaying some time. I made you wait."

Samantha politely replied, "No problem, I just arrived not long ago."

Seeing them chatting as if no one else was around, Ethan's face turned cold and stern. He gritted his teeth and said, “Ellena, did I not warn you? Without my consent, you cannot casually bring people in and out of my residence?”

Ellena pouted, holding onto his arm and acting coquettishly. “Oh, come on! The reason I chose this place is because I hope you can give me some advice. Our parents are getting old, and their judgment is off. Kilian's taste is too poor, and I don't trust him. So, I can only rely on you and Noah.”

At this point, as if remembering something, she looked around and wondered, “Where is my nephew? Seeing his aunt coming, he should have come out to greet me.”

Mentioning Noah, Ethan remembered his illness, and his expression became even more unpleasant.

Samantha chimed in, “Yeah! Children shouldn't stay in their rooms all the time. Coming down for some activity is good for physical and mental health.”

Ellena vigorously nodded and, in a familiar manner, took Samantha's hand, pulling her upstairs. “Come on, I'll introduce you to my nephew. Not to boast, but my Noah is incredibly good-looking. So far, I haven't seen a child more handsome than him...'

This move suited Samantha's intentions.

She happened to want to see the true appearance of Ethan's precious son.

And, by the way, confirm whether he was the long-lost twin brother of the lost Alexander.
