CEO's Genius Triplets

Sad Noah

Ch. 21 / 178 Feb 27, 2026

Samantha arrived at Chelsea Creek and immediately sensed that something was wrong with the atmosphere.

Ethan sat on the sofa with a gloomy face, seemingly lost in thought.

The surrounding servants worked with their heads down, not daring to breathe loudly.

She walked to Ethan's side and softly called, "Mr. Steele."

Ethan snapped back to reality, handed her the prepared contract, and said, "This is the employment contract. Take a look and sign it if there are no problems."

Samantha took the contract, carefully read it, and checked the three requests she made, including the conditions Ethan promised. The contract was standard and had no problems. Without hesitation, she signed her name.

Ethan, with a humane tone, said, "I will have the housekeeper prepare a study for you. If needed, you can work here. However, your activities are limited to the kitchen and the study."

Samantha didn't mind. Her work was already very free, and she didn't need to sit in an office. Except for occasional meetings at the company, she could work from home.

She looked at Ethan and asked the doubt in her heart, "Mr. Steele, may I ask something? Young Master is already four years old, right? Why hasn't he gone to kindergarten?"

Yesterday he didn't go, and it seemed that he didn't go today either.

As soon as the words fell, an ice-cold feeling emanated from Ethan's eyebrows.

Samantha knew that he was not happy, but she continued boldly, "Children of this age should go out more, socialize, and make more friends! Staying at home all the time is not conducive to their physical and mental health."

"Do your own job. Don't meddle in other people's affairs." Ethan's handsome face was overshadowed by dark clouds. He stood up and went upstairs without looking back.

Samantha felt that his anger was unreasonable.

She hadn't said anything wrong. Shouldn't children of this age go to school?

Hiding beneath the blanket, secretly wiping away tears, Noah vaguely heard Samantha's voice. Immediately, he dried his tears, quietly opened the door, and crouched at the top of the stairs to look down.

Sure enough, he saw Samantha entering the kitchen.

Thinking that he wouldn't see Samantha again in the future, tears uncontrollably streamed down his face.

Ethan, at some point, had come up behind him, watching him sit there crying. His heart twisted into a knot.

He squatted down, picked up Noah from the floor, gently wiped away the tears on his face, and asked softly, "Noah, what happened to you today?"

Since Noah turned one year old, he rarely cried.

In the past two years, he had cried almost never.

And he never easily showed his vulnerable side in front of others.

So, what happened today? Why did he suddenly cry so sadly?

Noah, unaccustomed to sudden intimacy, withdrew from Ethan's embrace, created some distance, and stared intensely at his face. Suddenly, he spoke, "Father, how about marrying Miss Samantha?"

This way, he could rightfully call her mommy.

Ethan was momentarily stunned, evidently surprised by his words, and his face instantly darkened.

"Noah, do you know what you're saying?"

Noah, fearless, met her gaze, "I know, but I don't like Suzy. I don't want her to be my mother."

Ethan emphasized, "Her blood runs in your veins; blood is thicker than water."

Noah bit his lower lip tightly and remained silent.

Seeing him biting his lower lip until it turned pale, Ethan softened again and said gently, "I know you don't like Suzy, but she is your biological mother after all. A biological mother will always be better than a stepmother."

Noah still didn't speak, the force of biting his lip increasing.

Ethan frowned, grabbed his jaw, forced him to release his lower lip, and said, "Remember, you're a man. Men don't easily shed tears, understand?"

Noah, with red eyes, looked at Ethan, holding back tears.

How could he not understand this principle?

But sometimes, he couldn't help it!

Ethan gently stroked his head, softened his tone, and with a hint of coaxing in his voice, said, "I had the housekeeper set up a toy room for you, filled with the toys you saw last time."

"I don't like childish things."

Having said that, Noah got up, went back to his room without looking back, and locked the door from the inside.

Angry again?

Ethan felt unusually irritated.

With a gloomy face, he went downstairs.

Samantha happened to come out of the kitchen, seeing his unfavorable expression, thinking he was still angry at her, she brought out a dessert, "Feeling bad? Have some dessert. Whenever I feel bad, I eat some dessert."

Ethan, expressionless, looked at her, "Don't try to seduce me. I'm not interested in a woman who..."

Samantha was left speechless, not waiting for him to finish, she interrupted, "Are you going to say you're not interested in a woman who willingly comes to you?"

Ethan remained silent, but his expression said it all.

Samantha couldn't help but laugh, reached out and touched his face, threw a flirtatious glance at him, deliberately provoking him, "So, sir, are you interested? Just the kind of one-night stand without marriage."

Ethan's handsome face turned cold.

"Get lost..."

Just as he opened his mouth, Samantha stuffed a piece of cake into it.

The faint fragrance instantly spread on the tongue.

Fragrant and delicious, sweet but not cloying.

The taste was unexpectedly good.

The mood also seemed to improve a lot.
