"Andrea," called out Mr. Singers with a smile, as he glanced over at her.
Returning the smile, Andrea nodded as Mr. Singers asked, "Can I borrow him for a minute?"
Momentarily taken aback, Andrea quickly understood that Mr. Singers needed to have an important discussion with Tony, so she nodded in agreement.
"Tony, come with me," Mr. Singers said firmly, leading the way as they walked off.
"I'll come back another time," Tony reassured Andrea before following Mr. Singers out.
Upon reaching the car park, Mr. Singers turned to face Tony, his expression turning dangerously stern as he grabbed Tony's shirt collar and pushed him towards his car.
"Disappear. I never want to lay eyes on your traitorous face near me, my family, or anything of mine," Mr. Singers warned, his eyes filled with resentment.
Guilt-ridden, Tony pleaded, "Please, Mr. Singers, allow me the chance to make amends to Andrea. If I leave like this, the weight of my guilt will be unbearable."
Enraged by his words, Mr. Singers charged forward and delivered a solid punch to Tony's face, causing him to stagger back with a nosebleed.
"Do you think I will trust you not to betray me again? Why should I believe you won't repeat your mistakes?" Mr. Singers retorted furiously.
Despite being struck by Mr. Singers, Tony remained composed and replied calmly, "I may not deserve to be by your daughter's side, but I vow to protect her with my life. Please, do not judge me solely by my past mistakes."
Observing Tony's resolve, Mr. Singers advanced with a dark expression, gripping his shirt collar and staring intensely into his eyes as he coldly stated, "I will grant you another chance, but if anything happens to my daughter, the consequences will be dire for you and all those around you, including Agatha."
Concluding his warning, Mr. Singers released Tony's collar and stepped back.
He decided to give Tony another opportunity because he understood him very well. Aware of Tony's strong sense of responsibility and dedication to his work, he trusted that with Tony by Andrea's side, she would be safe.
Mr. Singers shot Tony a piercing look before pivoting to head back to Andrea's ward. "Don't let Andrea see you like this. Go get yourself treated," he instructed firmly.
Upon entering Andrea's ward, he found her engaged in conversation with Doctor Sam. When Doctor Sam noticed Mr. Singers at the doorway, a mix of emotions played across his face.
Stepping back, Doctor Sam addressed Mr. Singers, "I apologize sincerely for my misunderstanding."
Mr. Singers shook his head in response, "No offense taken." He didn't dwell on Doctor Sam's reluctance to shake hands.
Doctor Sam was taken aback. He had heard numerous negative stories about Mr. Singers and had not anticipated his easy demeanor and friendly attitude.
"Mr. Singers, you can take her back home; she's in perfect condition," Dr. Sam announced.
Had he not learned the reason for Andrea's hospitalization, Dr. Sam would have recommended keeping her in the hospital for a few more days for observation.
Mr. Singers acknowledged the doctor with a nod before turning to Andrea. "Honey, let's head home."
"Where's Tony?" Andrea inquired cautiously.
"I sent him on an errand. You needn't worry, Andrea," Mr. Singers reassured her gently, guiding her out of the ward.
Anxious, Andrea spoke up. "Mr. Singers, please don't blame Tony for my kidnapping. He did his best to rescue me from Agatha."
Mr. Singers studied Andrea's face and offered a warm smile. "Andrea, you have a kind heart, but not everyone deserves your kindness. Be cautious in your interactions with others."
Andrea nodded attentively as they entered the car and drove away from the hospital.
As they headed back home, Mr. Singers turned to Andrea and asked, "Would you like to hear me play the piano?"
Andrea's eyes sparkled with delight as she thought about the piano sitting untouched at home. Her mother had mentioned that it belonged to her father, who promised to play it for her upon his return—a promise he never fulfilled.
"I would love to hear you play the piano," Andrea replied, brimming with happiness. Mr. Singers chuckled and affectionately patted her back.
Following Mr. Singers' directions, the convoy changed course and sped towards the Sunshine City School of Music.
Upon their arrival, a man in a suit approached to greet Mr. Singers and Andrea.
"Mr. Singers, it's great to see you today," the man said, smiling warmly.
"John, I've brought my wife to meet everyone. I hope they're all here," Mr. Singers said, beaming as he held Andrea's hand.
John nodded enthusiastically and said, "Everyone is inside. Mr. and Mrs. Singers, please come in."
Leading them into the music school, John spoke with joy, "Mrs. Singers, it's your first time here. If you're interested, I can show you the instrument rooms and classes."
Before Andrea could reply, Mr. Singers interrupted, "Andrea is pregnant and shouldn't exert herself. Take me to the others."
John's eyes widened in surprise. He had heard that Mr. Singers had only recently gotten married, and now his wife was expecting. Impressed by Mr. Singers' quick actions, John looked at him with admiration.
Taking a closer look at Andrea, whom he had previously overlooked due to her larger size, John was shocked to see her noticeably pregnant belly. Realizing that Mr. Singers had moved swiftly even before getting married, John's mouth fell open in astonishment.
Pouting John quipped, "Mr. Singers, I thought we all agreed to raise our kids after marriage. You've really let a brother down."
"Can you show me the papers where we signed that agreement?" Mr. Singers replied sarcastically.
