Tony's expression darkened as his eyes locked with Agatha's. "Agatha, what brings you here?" he asked suspiciously. "I hope you're not here to stir up more trouble. Andrea is Mr. Singers' sole heir, and she's heavily pregnant."
Agatha's face contorted with pain rather than anger at the wrongful accusation. "Tony, I won't make the same mistakes again," she replied quietly.
Tony nodded, showing no desire to prolong the conversation. Just as he turned to leave, Agatha called out to him in a soft voice, "Tony."
Reluctantly, Tony stopped in his tracks, waiting for her to speak.
"Tony, I'm truly sorry. I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I hope you can find it in your heart to give me a second chance," Agatha pleaded.
Tony's body trembled with rage, unable to find the right words to respond to Agatha. With a final glare, he turned and walked away toward the house.
Agatha watched him walk away, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed quietly.
Housekeeper Win greeted Tony at the door, expressing her concern: "Tony, you must speak with Ma'am Andrea. She hasn't eaten anything, and I fear for her unborn child."
"Housekeeper Win, don't worry. I will talk to her," Tony reassured her before making his way to Andrea's bedroom.
Upon entering and seeing Andrea's distressed state, Tony's heart filled with sorrow, evident on his face.
Approaching Andrea, he gently took the bloodstained shirt from her hands. "Miss Andrea, I understand your pain, but you cannot continue this hunger strike. Mr. Singers would not want this for you or your unborn child."
Andrea remained silent, lost in her thoughts. Tony, with a heavy heart, continued, "Miss Andrea, it is time to officially announce Mr. Singers' passing Would you like me to handle it for you?"
At last, Andrea spoke up, "I will do it."
Tony breathed a sigh of relief as he believed Andrea wouldn't respond. "I will go and quickly make arrangements," he said before leaving the bedroom. Andrea, left alone. picked up the bloodstained cloth from the bed, a tear rolling down her cheek.
"I miss you, Mommy and Daddy," she whispered emotionally before heading to the bathroom to clean up. After changing into a black gown, she emerged from the room. Housekeeper Win, seeing Andrea finally leaving her room, nearly cried with joy. Hurrying over, she said, "Ma'am Andrea, please come to the dining table and have a seat. The kitchen is preparing your favorite dish."
Without waiting for a response, Housekeeper Win gently guided Andrea to the dining table and helped her sit down before rushing off to the kitchen to check on the chef.
The maids soon brought out steaming food, but Andrea only managed to take a few bites before pushing the plate aside, opting to sip water instead
Housekeeper Win let out a sorrowful sigh as she recalled how she had silently grumbled about Andrea's seemingly insatiable appetite before Mr. Singers' passing. However, watching Andrea refrain from eating anything now tugged at her heartstrings.
"Ma'am Andrea, could you please try to eat a little? I wouldn't want Mr. Singers to be upset with me for not taking care of you properly," Housekeeper Win implored, her eyes welling up with tears.
Andrea, touched by her words, took another bite and sipped some water. "Mrs. Win, please don't cry. I'll be fine," she reassured her.
Housekeeper Win nodded in acknowledgment. Just then, Tony returned and whisked Andrea away to the Singers Group headquarters.
At the Singers Group's conference hall, Tony had arranged for the media to gather for the official announcement of Mr. Singers' passing.
As Andrea entered the conference hall, the once somber atmosphere transformed into a flurry of activity as journalists hurried to snap photos and jot down notes.
"Ma'am Andrea, is it true that you were married to Mr. Singers before his passing?" a voice called out loudly from the back of the room.
Startled, Andrea turned her gaze toward the source of the question, only to find the journalist who spoke now hidden within the crowd.
"Tony, could you please fetch the contract I signed with my father?" Andrea suddenly requested, her demeanor tense. Tony's face lit up with anticipation; he had harbored doubts about the nature of the contract Andrea had signed on that fateful day, especially after Mr. Singers revealed Andrea's true parentage. He realized he had never thoroughly reviewed the document when it was passed to him.
"I'll be right back. Please hold off on making any announcements until I return," Tony instructed Andrea, concerned that certain journalists present may be seeking to provoke a negative reaction from her.
Although all the attendees were carefully selected by Singers Group, it doesn't mean that other major companies lack the means to sneak their own journalists into the conference hall with the intent of tarnishing Singers Group's reputation.
Seated comfortably, Andrea calmly addressed the audience through the microphone, "We will begin the official announcement shortly. Please remain seated."
Gone was the Andrea who once shied away from public scrutiny, who dreaded being judged solely on her appearance.
A journalist, likely paid by Mr. Gibson and his associates to disrupt the official announcement, boldly posed a controversial question, "Is it true that you played a role in Mr. Singers' death? Your quick marriage and his subsequent murder- does this not suggest that you married him for his wealth, exploiting the significant age gap between you two, are you not a gold-digger?"
Infuriated, Andrea's face flushed with anger. She took hold of the microphone, her voice cutting through the room with icy authority, "Security, bring him to the front."
Three imposing security men surged forward, seizing him tightly and forcefully propelling him toward Andrea. The jouralist, in a state of distress, protested vehemently, "This is a violation of press freedom! What have I done wrong? I merely posed a harmless question!"
Meanwhile, Andrea had risen to her feet, her eyes welling up with tears and tinged with redness. She delivered a resounding slap to the journalist's face, shocking the entire assembly in the conference hall.
The journalists in attendance were incensed, while Mr. Singer's adversaries quietly reveled in the commotion.
Addressing the journalist, Andrea rebuked, "Press freedom? Does that grant you the license to defame and levy unfounded accusations? You hide behind your screens, spewing words without regard for others' emotions. Do you comprehend the profound pain I carry? I lost my mother at the tender age of ten, and after years of separation, I finally reunited with my father, only for him to be snatched away by death after a brief few months together..." Andrea's voice trailed off as tears streamed down her face.
