The man standing beside Rose enthusiastically introduced himself, "I am Smith Jack, Rose's husband."
Jack placed his hand around Rose's neck, causing her to flinch in fear before composing herself.
Andrea, observant as ever, noticed Rose's reaction and deduced that she was afraid of her husband, Jack, indicating an abusive relationship.
Comparing Jack and Valentine Singers, Andrea found Valentine Anderson to be more attractive and noted that he never laid a hand on her during their marital disagreements.
Confused by Rose's choice of staying with Jack over Valentine, whom she had fought hard to win over, Andrea boldly expressed her interest in Jack. "Smith Jack, if your wife doesn't mind, I would love to go on a date with you," she said with a smile, casting a glance at Valentine Anderson.
Smith Jack tightened his grip on Rose's arm and replied, "She doesn't mind."
Struggling to hide her pain, Rose reluctantly agreed, "Yes, I don't mind."
Andrea Singers confirmed her suspicion that Rose Ferguson was in an abusive marriage.
When Valentine Anderson remained unfazed, Andrea rolled her eyes and motioned for everyone to sit.
"Mrs. Rose Ferguson, surely you're familiar with Valentine Anderson's former wife. What are your thoughts on her?" Andrea inquired, a smile playing on her lips.
Rose Ferguson assumed Andrea had a romantic interest in Valentine Anderson. Dismissing the idea that the current Andrea could be his ex-wife, who she believed to be unattractive and overweight, Rose launched into a scathing critique. "She's repulsive, unfit, unable to even jog without sweating buckets. She's a mess, reeking of filth. It's no wonder Valentine settled for her; perhaps he was compensating for his impotency."
Glancing at Valentine for any reaction to being labeled impotent, Andrea found his expression unchanged.
Losing interest in her original agenda, Andrea swiftly changed tack. "Mrs. Rose, I'd prefer your husband to finalize the deal on your behalf. How does that sound to you?"
Without waiting for Rose to utter a word, Smith Jack hastily interjected, "Mrs. Andrea Singers, I'm more than willing to sign on her behalf, and I'm confident she shares the same sentiment. Here's my number; feel free to reach out whenever you're ready."
Rose Ferguson, visibly displeased, was about to object when Smith Jack firmly took her arm and flashed a reassuring smile, inquiring, "Do you think this is a good idea?"
Rose Ferguson reluctantly nodded, biting her lower lip, and replied in a hushed tone, "Yes, yes."
After jotting down Jack Smith's phone number, Andrea Singers exited the private room, trailed by Valentine Anderson.
As they approached the elevator on the top floor, a door mere six feet away creaked open, and two sharply dressed men emerged from a private room. Their expressions morphed into sheer astonishment when they laid eyes on Valentine Anderson escorting Andrea Singers like a personal bodyguard.
One of the men, evidently puzzled, blurted out, "President Anderson, when did you step out of the private room?" They had just concluded a meeting with Valentine Anderson in that very room, and seeing another doppelganger with a stunning companion left them utterly bewildered.
"I don't know who you are, scammers!" Valentine Anderson shot back, his tone laced with displeasure. He was desperate to keep Andrea oblivious to the truth.
Andrea Singers paid no attention to their conversation, maintaining her brisk pace toward the elevator.
Once the two men watched Andrea and Valentine disappear, they exchanged a look of total confusion, then re-entered the private room for a moment. When they stepped back out, their faces were etched with shock.
"President Valentine Anderson is...there's two of him," one muttered, unable to grasp the situation.
Meanwhile, Andrea, oblivious to the discovery the men had made, reached the parking lot with Valentine Anderson, who couldn't help asking, "Andrea, why do you need that number of a pervert?"
A knowing smile played on Andrea's lips as she faced Valentine Anderson. "Are you tired of pretending, Valentine Anderson?"
She understood Valentine Anderson's character well - possessive, jealous, and narcissistic.
Upon seeing his head lower and then rise again, now brimming with tears, Andrea was at a loss for words. She rolled her eyes and remarked, "Whoever taught you to cry during our arguments is truly a mastermind."
Unable to watch Valentine's theatrical display, Andrea climbed into the car.
The tears vanished from Valentine's eyes as he followed, his lips curving into a sly smile. He started the car and drove off from the hotel. Andrea sat, deep in thought, contemplating Rose Ferguson's predicament and realizing that seeking revenge on her was unnecessary; fate had already taken its course.
She glanced at Valentine Anderson, who was focused on driving, and a mischievous grin spread across her face. If she couldn't exact revenge on Rose, Valentine Anderson would bear the brunt of the consequences.
Upon reaching the mansion and entering the living room, Andrea paused on the staircase and looked down at Valentine Anderson. She played with her hair seductively, accentuating her curves, and teasingly said, "Valentine Anderson, I would have loved to invite you to my bed. What do you think?"
Valentine's expression was one of confusion; he sensed trouble but couldn't decipher her intentions.
His lips tightened, his eyes a dark well of unreadable passion.
Andrea's playful facade dropped as she gasped, feigning a sudden realization. "Oh, I forgot – you're now impotent. Is that why Rose Ferguson left you? When I left Vegas, you were quite the man, but now... alas, you're as selfish as ever. You expect me to accept an impotent man as my partner?" Her voice was sharp, her expression a mix of anger and contempt.
