Thank you, Mr. Singers," Tony expressed gratefully, unsurprised that Mr. Singers was already privy to his feelings for Agatha.
Had Mr. Singers not known, it would have been a shock, as he had a way of keeping tabs on everyone around him, including his adversaries.
Tony lingered outside the house, waiting for Mr. Singers to depart before returning inside.
Upon entering the living room, Tony's expression shifted dramatically as he froze in place.
Agatha held a gun to her head, tears streaming down her face without pause.
Tony's palm grew sweaty as he cautiously moved closer, urging, "Andrea, please don't do this, don't harm yourself, my love."
"Stay back!" Agatha shrieked frantically, halting Tony in his tracks with a crazed look in her eyes.
She knew that if Tony advanced any further, she might not be able to pull the trigger and inflict harm upon herself.
"Agatha, let's discuss this. Suicide is not the solution," Tony urged, trying to persuade her.
"I can't leave. I want to stay in Sunshine City," Agatha replied tearfully, the gun trembling in her hand.
Tony's expression hardened. He had always followed Mr. Singer's orders without question. After a moment of silence, he composed himself and spoke gently, "Agatha, leaving Sunshine City is in your best interest. Staying here will only harm your mental well-being and emotions."
"I refuse to go! If you take me away, I'll end it all," Agatha interrupted anxiously and resolutely.
Tony felt a pang of helplessness. Despite his outward composure, he was internally distressed.
After a deep breath, he relented, saying, "Fine, you can stay in Sunshine City. But you must remain within the mansion. How does that sound?"
Agatha blinked in disbelief and asked, her face showing a mix of emotions, "Really?"
"Yes, you are going to stay with me," Tony nodded sadly, his face betraying the hurt he felt.
Agatha, oblivious to his mood, skipped over to him happily and embraced him with great joy.
"That's fantastic, Tony! I will never leave the mansion, I promise you," Agatha said cheerfully as she tossed the gun aside.
Tony's expression remained stoic, his mood darkening. "Excuse me, Agatha, I will go get us something to eat."
Without waiting for Agatha's response, he gently disentangled himself from her, picked up the gun, and walked away.
Unaware of Tony's feelings, Agatha remained grinning happily as she reclined in the chair, her thoughts consumed by her desire to stay in Sunshine City.
Once Tony had left the living room, he made his way to the balcony and lit a cigarette.
His mind was in turmoil as he exhaled a puff of smoke, torn between not wanting Agatha to end her life with his gun, not wanting to defy Mr. Singers, and grappling with the conflicting voices in his head and heart.
In a moment of frustration, he punched the wall and muttered under his breath, "Mr. Singers, I am sorry."
Unaware of this incident, Mr. Singers, driving back to the hospital, decided to pull over at a breakfast store on his way.
After purchasing breakfast for both of them, he returned to Andrea's ward and found the doctor conversing with her.
Upon entering Andrea's ward, the doctor straightened up and addressed Mr. Singers, saying, "It's good you're back. I just completed a thorough examination, and she is in perfect condition. You can take her home now."
"Thank you, Doctor Sam," Mr. Singers replied graciously.
"It was your exceptional care and effort in nursing your wife back to health. I simply did my job. I am unworthy of your gratitude. Excuse me," Doctor Sam responded before promptly exiting the room.
Avoiding any further interaction, he hurriedly left, not wanting to unintentionally offend Mr. Singers or anyone else present.
"Let's have breakfast so I can take you home," Mr. Singers said to Andrea before unpacking the breakfast he had bought.
After they finished their meal, Mr. Singers escorted Andrea back to the mansion, where Housekeeper Win and the other servants warmly welcomed her.
"Welcome back, Mrs. Singers! The house felt empty without you," they exclaimed.
"We will always pray for your good health, Mrs. Singers. Please don't hesitate to ask for anything you need," they assured her as they helped her to her room.
Turning to Housekeeper Win, Mr. Singers instructed, "I want Andrea to rest and not lift a finger. Make sure she is well taken care of, fulfill her every request, and don't let her move around unassisted. She is heavily pregnant."
Housekeeper Win nodded attentively, ensuring she followed Mr. Singers' instructions to the letter without missing a beat.
After finishing his conversation, Mr. Singers swiftly exited the mansion, trading his outfit for a new one. This time, he opted not to drive his red Lamborghini but instead rode in an SUV, with his driver at the wheel.
Seated in the back of the car was Tony's replacement, who informed him, "Mr. Singers, the governor's business forum started a few minutes ago. We may arrive ten minutes late."
"What about the palace decision? Have they reached a conclusion?" Mr. Singers inquired.
"The Queen has requested your presence at the palace. They are withholding their decision until you attend the invitation," Tate promptly replied.
Mr. Singers frowned but remained silent as they headed towards the governor's business forum venue.
Upon arrival, he entered the venue accompanied by his security detail.
Before he could step inside the venue, he encountered Sylvester making his way out. A smirk played on Mr. Sylvester's lips as he spoke, "Singers, you're a vulnerable man now. It's all too easy to break you. I would have taken you down long ago if I had known she was your Achilles' heel."
Mr. Singers' expression hardened, understanding immediately who Sylvester meant by his weakness. "Your wife and three children in California aren't as safe as you think, and neither are your family in Paris. Just a word from me could send them straight to hell," Mr. Singers replied icily, his eyes glinting with killing intent.
