Trapped by Him

Chapter 305

Ch. 303 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

Luana smiled and said, "I asked you before if I could date, and you said I could do as I please. Now that I'm dating someone, it's natural for him to sleep with me, isn't it?"

Cline's expression faltered, his usually indifferent face growing even darker.

The suppressed aura of the Alpha around him became more unstable, as if it could erupt at any moment, engulfing everything around.

Seeing him speechless, Luana suddenly raised her hand and touched Cline's eyebrows and eyes.

She caressed his cheek from top to bottom with a hint of tenderness.

This was the man she had loved for five years. How could she bear to hurt him?

Yet, she didn't know that, in Cline's eyes, her action was seen as an affront to his Alpha dignity, for he now considered her "unclean".

But he didn't love her, not even a bit. Why couldn't she let go?

Lost in thought, Cline suddenly grabbed her wrist.

"Don't touch me!" he coldly uttered, "Dirty!"

His voice carried the authority and unquestionable nature of an Alpha, the cold tone seeming to pierce straight through Luana's heart, making her already shattered heart even more riddled with holes.

Although she expected this reaction, hearing him call her dirty again made her heart ache fiercely.

She bit her lip, suppressed her emotions, and looked at the hand that still tightly held hers.

"Mr. Moriarty, you despise me so much, yet you won't let go of my hand. Could it be that you don't want to part with me?" Her face wore a bright smile, as if her previous obedience was all an act, and this was the real her.

Cline seemed to see through her, the murderous intent in his eyes fading, replaced by indifference.

Without hesitation, he pushed her away, "Get out!"

The force of his push, imbued with the strength of an Alpha, was powerful.

Luana was thrown against the car door, her neatly arranged hair disheveled, looking utterly disheveled.

She pushed the stray hair behind her ears, picked up her torn clothes, and dressed herself again.

Her movements carried a kind of stubbornness. Even in such a humiliating situation, she didn't want to show too much vulnerability in front of Cline, like a wounded but still defiant creature.

Dressed properly, she got out of the car.

Just as she was about to leave, Cline called out to her.

Luana's steps faltered for a moment, and when she turned around, her face was full of smiles, "Mr. Moriarty, you wouldn't really miss me, would you?"

Cline didn't even look at her, throwing a check directly onto her face.

"For sleeping with me for five years, this is your well-deserved service fee."

The action was filled with contempt and disdain. For Cline, it seemed he was using this method to sever all ties with her.

The stiff texture of the check hurt her face as it was thrown, causing a sharp pain.

Luana stood still for a few seconds before stooping to pick up the check.

When she saw the amount, a bitter smile played on her lips, spreading through her chest.

Five years for half a billion – in a certain sense, it was indeed worth it.

If she had got the money five years ago, she would have been very grateful.

But now, facing death, such wealth meant nothing.

Luana placed the check back in the car and said, "Mr. Moriarty, you're quite generous, but if I take this money, I won't be able to enter the Elan family clean."

Her meaning was clear. Compared to the position of Mrs. Elan, the half a billion was nothing.

Moreover, accepting his money would affect her chances of marrying into a wealthy family.

It was only now that Cline understood why she had refused his money – she had plans to marry into a wealthy family.

The doubts in his heart dissipated, and when he looked at her again, his eyes were like looking at a stranger, devoid of any emotion.

"Luana, from now on, never appear in front of me again."

Luana laughed and replied, "Don't worry."

She knew deep down that she would never have the chance to appear in front of him again, as her life was about to end.

The love she had for him, ingrained in her very bones, would also be buried in the grave over time, unknown to anyone.

At Cline's private estate, the assistant parked the car at the entrance, and Gehrmann got out of the car.

He was about to enter the villa to find Cline when a Koenigsegg slowly drove into the garden.

A man nearly six feet tall stepped out of the car, his figure tall and straight, with perfect proportion and not a single flaw.

An arrogant aura surrounded him, carrying a strong sense of oppression that made people reluctant to approach.

Even Gehrmann felt a chill seeing such a Cline, not to mention his opponents.

Gehrmann composed himself and walked up to Cline.

"Cline, you're back?" He wanted to ask where Cline had been, as he had left Nightfall before him but returned later.

However, seeing Cline's gloomy and unwell expression, he swallowed his words.
