Astreille slowly opened her eyes when she felt a warm feeling around her wrist. The bridegroom came up to her with his forehead pressed to the side of her waist.
She giggled softly. The man immediately turned around when he heard that.
"Hey, you're awake," he whispered before leaning on her and kissing her lips.
Astreille smiled at Xord sweetly when he pulled back. "What happened?" she asked.
"You passed out after crying. I'm fucking worried about you especially when the doctor told me that you lost too much blood," she replied worriedly.
The girl raised her hand to caress the groom's smooth cheek. "I'm perfectly fine, baby. You don't have to worry about me that much. You're making yourself too tired because of me."
He shook his head as he kissed the back of her palm. "I love you more than anything else and I'll do everything to keep you safe, baby. I'm alright too."
"Have you found Asero's body?" It was as if there was a blockage in the girl's throat when she asked that.
The thought of seeing the man who used to be her father killed himself in front of her gives her deep pain.
"Yeah, he's already in a morgue right now. His family decided to cremate him."
"His family? Oh gosh, he still has some family left, Xord. How's that? What are we going to do?" the girl asked confusedly out of concern.
Xord caressed her cheeks. "It's alright. I'll sponsor them, I'm already taking care of the child's scholarship. Kuya Sebastian will give them money every month."
"Your older brother? Isn't he angry with Asero? My dad is one of the reasons why he developed that illness."
"He's going crazy about the thought of killing your dad, also. I'm glad that Autumn can calm him down when no one else can. His girlfriend is a good person and she convinced him about this. And about Arrow, she said that she has moved on already and she'll be fine. Everything's alright, baby. "
Astreille smiled sweetly when she heard that. "I'm glad to hear that. At Least I can breathe properly."
"I brought someone here to visit you, you won't feel excited to meet him but just try to be kind, okay?" the groom laughed at her.
The girl just let the man go as he helped her to sit on the bed. She glanced at the door when it opened, her older brother's face immediately appeared.
"Of course I'm excited to see--" the girl interrupted when she saw who was behind her brother.
She looked in another direction as soon as her family entered the room. He did not know where he would find the courage to look at his father.
"Princess." She looked at her big brother on her side. He hugged her tightly.
"Our dad's here, mind saying hi?"
"He's the one who visited, why isn't he the one to say hello?" sarcastic question of the maiden.
Liam Heveiana cleared his throat. He turned to the child. "Hey, princess. I'm sorry if I just arrived right now. How are you feeling?"
"It's okay," Astreille replied calmly.
"I'm glad to hear that. I know you're still confused by what's happening right now so I can't blame you if you're mad at me." He gave a bouquet of flowers to Astreille who gladly accepted it.
"I knew from the very start that you are my daughter. I just respected your mom's decision when she chose to introduce you to Asero. So don't think that now I'm just worried about you," he sincerely added.
The girl turned to her father, who was now slightly bent over.
"You committed a sin, Liam. You knew that. Do you regret all your sins?"
Liam nodded his head continuously. "I have long felt guilty for the sins I committed. Princess, I sent myself to prison for 3 years to pay for those sins I committed. All my foolishness, I regret. But I did not regret that I had two amazing children. I had you and Ephraim. "
Astreille immediately wiped the tears on her cheeks. She lowered the bouquet to the bed before revealing her arms to the father.
"Hug," she said.
Her father's forehead furrowed. "What is it, princess?"
"Won't you give your youngest a hug?"
Liam chuckled because of happiness. The man immediately accepted the child's offer and hugged him tightly. He poured all his longing into that hug.
"Wow. It feels good seeing the two of you fix this," Ephraim uttered while trying to hide his tears.
Laughing, the girl pulled her older brother before hugging him tightly. "Thank you, brother."
"You're always welcome princess. I'm so happy that you came home safe."
"What do you want to eat? We bought a lot of food for you," Liam said.
Astreille just pouted her lips. "I want to go home. I hate Hospitals so much."
Liam nodded his head. "Where do you want to go? In my house or your house?" its tender question.
The girl looked at the boyfriend on the sofa. "I want to go with my boyfriend, dad. Can I?"
Liam Heveiana smirked while looking at Xord who's now standing in front of him. The young man bowed in front of him.
"Good afternoon, sir. I am Xord Knights, Astreille's boyfriend. And if ever that you don't like me for your daughter, I just want you to know that I don't give a fuck-- "
"Xord, heck," Astreille laughed.
Her dad gave a loud laugh. Laughing, he looked at the young man who looked bad at him.
"Why would I take my daughter away from you? You met her first and you were there to protect her even if it's my responsibility. Ijo, I'm not crazy yet to fight the Knights," the man said.
Xord hugged his girlfriend. "Good."
Astreille no longer knows what to do to make sure of her boyfriend. Its mouth is really rude, no matter who it talks to. She just shook her head while laughing. He just hugged the young man back.
"Let's go home?" Xord uttered to her.
She nodded her head. "To your house."
