Ian's POV
Hailey: I am sorry. I'm an idiot. You have no reason to forgive me, but I really hope that you do.
Hailey: I was being insecure and taking those feelings out on you and us. That's not very fair to you. But can you please forgive me anyway?
Hailey: It's taken me days to just get the courage to send these texts.
Hailey paired her texts with clever emojis that depicted her emotions well. I wasn't expecting a text so soon. In fact, I didn't expect one at all. She seemed to misunderstand me when I said I wouldn't wait again. That was my way of warning her that I would not be giving up on her. I planned on giving her a week before I pursued her once again. Never again will I let years pass before trying to claim the girl I like- maybe love- at this point.
Ian: Of course, I forgive you. You're lucky you texted, because in a week's time, I was going to board you with cheesy romantic gestures.
Hailey: Ummm, can I still get those?
I laughed, feeling good once more now that Hailey texted me. She really was the only thing keeping me from falling into a deep depression.
Ian: I can do that. ;) I can do a lot of things for you, Hailey.
Hailey: Yeah? Like, teach me how to cook?
Ian: I don't know about that, but I know someone who can. What do you say? Impromptu adventure? It involves a 4-hour road trip.
Hailey: Hmm, let me think.
Hailey: Hell yeah, whisk me away, lover boy
