Saved By A Dark Billionaire

CHAPTER 216

Ch. 216 / 238 Apr 07, 2026

Ian's POV

"Good morning, Sunshine." I greeted her, seeing her squint her eyes in protest. "Take these."

I handed the love of my life some painkillers and a vitamin, along with a glass of Mom's best hangover cure. She groaned, grabbing her head before taking the things from my hand. She propped herself up, refusing to sit up all the way. Chugging everything I had given her, she handed me the glass, lying back down.

"It's too bright," she complained, placing the blanket over her head.

"What do you remember about last night?" I asked her, dying to know if she remembered our conversation. She told me she would have my children- all of my children. I can't recall a time when a statement made my heart soar and my dick throb all at once.

"I remember we hung out with Liv and Lucas. Oh, God, the penis." Hailey shook her head, clearly remembering whatever she saw inside her penthouse to make her turn around and change our plans. I understood now that Tinita was having some fun last night, too. "I remember outfit hunting and then getting to Nacio's. There was mingling and exchanging of business cards, but then it started to get hazy. How did we get home?" She peeked at me from under the covers, looking adorable as hell.

"I brought us home."

"I am so sorry, Ian. I swore I wasn't going to get shit-faced. See, I had promised myself that I'd reward you for being so absolutely amazing last night. Thank you for putting up with my crazy self."

"I don't need to be rewarded for being by your side. Being with you is my favorite activity. Being by your side is my favorite place to be. Not to mention your voice is my favorite sound to hear. All I need is to have you near to be happy. Granted, your body is all my dick needs to be happy. Don't worry about me, Hailey. Just rest." I kissed her forehead, feeling more disappointed than I thought I would about her forgetting our conversation.

"Okay, then when this headache is gone, you can fill me over and over and over again." She winked at me, causing my smile to return tenfold. She remembers, and she still wants it. "I do want kids with you, Ian. Just not quite yet. So you can fill me as much as you want, but I am still on birth control. I won't stop taking it, but if by some random chance I do end up pregnant despite the birth control, I won't complain."

"Thank you, Mi Luz. Now go back to sleep. I'll bring you food soon." I closed the door, feeling the best I have ever felt. Hailey was right, as exciting as the idea was, we should wait. So we'll roll the dice, but we won't necessarily actively try. We'll see what happens.

As Hailey rested, I made some phone calls and got some work done from home. It didn't take long for me to get the call I had been waiting on since yesterday. Her name flashed on my screen, making my stomach turn with nerves. I never envisioned this being the case.

"Hello, Mrs. Gonzalez," I answered the phone, finally getting her name and number from Mr. Medina. Nadia Gonzalez is Hailey's one and only mother. "Thank you for returning my phone call."

"How could I not, when you keep calling me every day?" she snapped, seeming annoyed. I didn't care, having finally gotten her on the phone.

"It is the only way I could get a hold of you. I needed to speak with you about Hailey," I informed her, holding back the nervousness out of my tone. I have never really spoken to someone's mother the way I am about to speak to Hailey's. Normally, I don't have to give an adult a reality check. Nadia, however, desperately needs it, at least from where I stand.

"What could you possibly need to tell me about my daughter?"

"For starters, she needs her mother around more," I retorted, my nerves fading into frustration. I'm doing my best to help them both, but I feel like I'm reaching my breaking point with this woman.

"Excuse me? She's the one that sent me away that day, not the other way around."

"You brought the man who almost raped her and then accused her of lying about it in not so many words. What did you want her to do? Hug you?!"

"No, of course not. She could have talked to me about it rather than sending me away. That hurt me deeply." Is this woman seriously trying to make this about her hurt?

"I'm sure Hailey wasn't feeling that peachy, either. Look, I didn't call you to argue. I wanted to call you to tell you that you are invited to Hailey's surprise birthday party."

"Her birthday party?" She sounded so surprised. "Oh my gosh, it's already that time! What day and time?"

"It's next Saturday at 8 p.m. Please use this opportunity to apologize to your daughter for what you put her through by bringing Juan to her penthouse."

"At 8? Can it not be later? I have plans at that time already." Is she serious? "It's fine, you know what? I'll just cancel my plans and come." Did she expect me to be amazed by this action?

"As you should, seeing your daughter's birthday is pretty important."

"Of course it is. I wasn't saying it wasn't." I could tell it annoyed her that I didn't find her canceling plans to be all that gracious of her.

"I'll see you there then. Oh, and Nadia, if you make your daughter cry at her own birthday party, you'll have more than just me to deal with. Get your head out of your own ass and feel for your children more."

I hung up, feeling like I could squeeze something until it broke. Trying to calm myself, I decided to play some upbeat music. Listening to Marshmello's "Alone" which Red had introduced me to back in high school, This was our hype song, whenever we were down or mad, we would dance it out together.

"I hear music." Hailey came out of the room, smiling widely at me, seeming more alive than she had this morning. She grabbed my hands, pulling me to the open space in my living room, before she started to jump and dance in front of me. Her eyes were closed as always when she was feeling the music deep inside her. It seemed she resonated with this song as well. Although it was no longer about the song, instead, it was Hailey that was making me feel better. "Come on, Ian. You put it on, dance with me."

Letting loose, I acted like a fool in front of her, feeling better the second I did. Hailey laughed but continued dancing with me. We were jumping, shaking, spinning, and letting loose. Hailey made it all better by just coming out of the room and by just being by my side. She is the light in my life, my literal sun. I am truly and deeply, and oh so madly, in love with her.

"Are you okay?" she asked me as the song ended, seeming concerned.

"What? Yeah, I am fine."

"Are you sure? Liv would play this song and dance like this when she was feeling sad and wanting to cheer up."

It seemed Red kept up the tradition as well. The thought caused me to give Hailey a small smile.

"I needed to get out of my head," I admitted. "I like knowing that you would join her when she did it." I could just picture the two of them dancing together. I fell for her best friend, making it both awkward and amazing at the same time.

"Want to know my 'get out of my head' song?" She grinned mischievously at me as I nodded my head. Without pause, "Dancing With Myself" by Billy Idol came on, filling my apartment with its upbeat tune. I found myself dancing alongside her once more, seeing her truly embrace this song as if it were written for her. She was absolutely stunning as her messy curls from sleep bounced around her crazily. Her smile was contagious, infecting me with deep happiness.

"Hailey Medina, you make me the happiest man around." I yelled over the music, taking her into my arms and kissing her so deeply that she moaned.

"You know? I'm feeling better now." She winked at me, pulling me by the collar towards my room. Hell yes!

"Tell me how you want it, Mi Amor."

"Hot and hard, Mi Vida." She pulled me down towards her, whispering in my ear. "Fuck me till I am screaming. Teach me a lesson for drinking too much last night, one I won't forget."

This woman is absolutely perfect! "Gladly,"
