Hailey's POV
I am reeling from this evening's events. Starting with Ian's not-so-innocent touches in his car and ending with the conversation we just had about love. Every time I talk about it, the topic becomes more and more confusing. Hearing Ian tell me what I did to Dan was shitty, and then telling me he understood it... it had my emotions all over the place. Knowing he understood me- seeing that he really did- lightened the ache in my chest, one I didn't even know I had.
For some stupid reason, I invited him upstairs and told him he could hold me. I already knew this was going to be more than just holding. The feeling he left me with after my dad's dinner was one that lingered until now. I had no idea Ian was so talented with his tongue and his fingers. I'm going to have to thank whoever taught him all these things. Perhaps tonight I will find out what else he has to offer.
As we entered the apartment, I made my way into the kitchen, deciding I needed a drink. I saw Christin's note on the fridge as I reached for the vodka in the freezer.
Went to bed early. There's flan in the fridge for you. Also, don't worry, I usually sleep with white noise on. Have fun with lover boy - Tinita.
I almost laughed, realizing what she was implying and how accurate it was. I took the flan out, placed it on the counter, and grabbed two spoons, then held them in front of my face with a big grin.
"Wanna have some dessert with me?" I asked him, wiggling my eyebrows playfully.
"What is it?" he asked, grabbing the spoon and taking a bite before I had even answered.
"It's flan. Have you never had any?" I took a bite, savoring the caramelized sugar before the custard taste hit me just right. "It's kind of like custard, but it's rich and has caramelized sugar on top."
"It's good." He nodded as he took another bite, a bigger one. When we got down to the last bite, we fought over it with our spoons, having a small battle of sorts. I emerged victorious by bending down and eating it without the spoon. "That's cheating," Ian pouted, making me laugh.
"It's mine." I winked at him, licking it off my lips. "Come on." I grabbed the vodka and the glasses and led us to my room. We began to talk about stupid stuff, things that made us both laugh. We shared funny videos and stupid memes, trying to lighten the mood from the conversation we last had.
"Okay, so who taught you to kiss like that?" I asked him, having ventured into the topic of exes.
"Brittney, I was living in London when I met her at a party. The girl really knew what she was doing, and she wasn't shy about ordering me around." He had a crooked smirk at the memory as he held his cup tight, taking the last swig of vodka. We'd now downed half a bottle between the two of us, and we were both pretty tipsy.
"She did well, you gotta thank her for me, okay?" I had a stupid grin on my face as I looked at him, then his lips.
"We don't exactly talk, you know, that whole one-month relationship thing kind of made her mad." He shrugged like he didn't really care that she didn't like him anymore. She was meaningless to him.
"You're not allowed to shove me aside when our fake relationship breaks up in a month then," I said, pointing my finger at him.
"We're ending in a month?" He seemed surprised, and maybe even disappointed by it.
"I mean, if we're going to keep up with your trend, then yes. Or are you going to change for me, Ian?" I laughed, teasing him, but what he said next threw me for a loop.
"I'll change for you, Hailey. I'll be your fake boyfriend for however long you need me to be." He leaned closer as he spoke, and I began to think that perhaps it was the alcohol speaking.
"Oh, really?" I asked, feeling his breath fan over my lips at his proximity. He hummed in response, crashing his lips against mine again.
If there was ever a bad idea, it would be this one. This idea right here- hooking up with Ian- is the worst one. Yet I couldn't stop myself from running my hands over his chiseled torso. I pulled at his shirt, untucking it from his pants, to allow my hands to feel the heat of his skin beneath my palms. Ian gently ran his tongue across my lower lip, sending a surge of arousal through me. His fingers grazed my skin as he slid his hand under my large hoodie. Between his gentle touches and sweet kisses, I couldn't think straight.
With our lips never parting, I began to unbutton his shirt until all that was left was one stubborn button. Ian helped, finally breaking away from me for a moment to take off his shirt. I used that moment to slip off my hoodie. Our eyes locked, and the way Ian looked at me could have melted the largest of glaciers. My breath hitched as his warm lips met my bare skin just above my breast. Every kiss and touch felt intentional, sensual, and somehow loving. I was surprised by the emotions his touches were eliciting from me. It was more than just lust, hunger, and desire. The feeling scared me for the briefest of moments before his tongue dragged over my perked brown nipple, and all thoughts disappeared.
His hands slid behind my back, pulling me up so that I was closer to his bare chest as he ran his tongue across my breast and up to my neck. He didn't suck like I assumed he would, instead kissing me lightly, and somehow, that was better. He nibbled at my earlobe, something no one had ever done to me before, and it sent goosebumps running down my arms as his breath tickled my ear. I moaned, unable to hold back any longer. Worried that Christin would hear my moans, I pulled away from Ian, reaching over and playing music on the little speaker hub I had in my room. Ian smirked at me, amused with my antics, I guess. I had been listening to Luav earlier in the day, and the hub continued playing similar songs, filling the room with "I Found You" by Kayden.
