Desmond showed up

Ch. 259 / 286 Apr 29, 2026

She had believed him. She had trusted his words, accepted his explanations, and ignored the little warnings in the back of her mind. And now? Now, she stood in the shadows, listening to the ugly truth unfold before her.

"Yes! I'm going to enjoy her money the way I'm enjoying your dick right now." She heard Vanessa say it again, adding to the pain she was already suffering.

"Yeah, I don't need to disturb her again for money. Now we can get it anytime we want. We can do our wedding with her money." She heard Sylvester say and shook her head in regret. They are even preparing for a wedding with hope of using her money.

The money was one thing. But this? This was unforgivable. She began to burn in regret. The time she wasted in loving him. She had been a fool all these while.

She wanted to storm into the room and confront them. She wanted to announce her presence and tell him how disappointed she was in him but quickly changed her mind.

He needed to teach him a lesson, this time in a hard way. She took a deep breath and entered the room.

Vanessa and Sylvester were busy, having a good time. Sylvester kept thrusting in and out of Vanassa. They were so lost that they didn't know that someone was about to take a video.

Her hands were barely able to steady themselves as she pulled up the camera. With a deep, shuddering breath, she pressed the button, capturing the moment—the irrefutable proof of his deception. She took a small video and pictures of them.

Then, without another second of hesitation, she turned and walked away. Not a single tear fell. Sylvester had destroyed everything. And he had no idea what was coming next.

When she entered her car, her driver noticed her mood.

"Is there any problem, ma'am?' The driver asked her.

"I'm fine, just take me to SkyView restaurant." She replied the driver started the car. He knew that all was not fine. Anabel couldn't go home in that mood. Her mood would attract questions.

The driver started the car and drove her off to the restaurant. The drive to SkyView Restaurant was quiet, yet the weight in Anabel’s chest only grew heavier with each passing second.

Her mind was a whirlwind of emotions—rage, betrayal, heartbreak. Everything she had believed about Sylvester had crumbled before her eyes, leaving her in a storm of devastation.

She had kept her composure. She had walked out of his apartment without saying a word, without letting him see her pains. But now, sitting in her car, she felt suffocated by the reality of it all. She wasn’t crying—she refused to. But the ache inside her was unbearable.

She got to the restaurant and ordered a bottle of alcoholic wine.

"Are you sure about this, ma’am? Remember—you are pregnant. Drinking alcohol in your condition is not advisable.” The waitress said but Anabel barely flinched. She didn’t need advice—she needed something to numb the pain.

She lifted her gaze to the waitress and said, “Your Job is to take orders and serve. You don’t have the right to tell me what I can or cannot drink. Bring what I ordered."

The waitress nodded reluctantly and disappeared for a moment before returning with the bottle. She opened it carefully, setting it down in front of Anabel before walking away.

Anabel stared at the dark liquid in the glass, Maybe this would make everything go away for a while. Just as she lifted the glass to her lips, a familiar voice was heard from the back.

"Drinking that won’t help you."

Her grip froze, and her breath caught in her throat. She could recognize the voice. Slowly, she turned, and it was Desmond.

How did he know she was here?
