When they broke the kiss, Desmond asked her, "What is your plan about Sylvester since you didn't confront him?"

"I don't want to stress myself confronting him. He will come to me by himself to beg me but will end up in jail. Let's not talk about him now."

"Alright. I won't talk about him again." Desmond replied. "What would you like to eat? You must be hungry."

Anabel smiled and called the waiter for the menu. She ordered, and Desmond did as well. They ate together for the first time in many months.

After eating, they went out together. When they got to the parking lot. They hugged each other and said goodbye. On their way to their different homes, they couldn't stop smiling at themselves.

The next day, Sylvester went to the bank to collect the card with victorious smiles on his face. When he got to the bank, he called out his account number for verification.

When the customer service saw the problem with his account, she excused herself and went to meet the manager.

"It's his property. Just give it to him. For now, he won't be able to withdraw with the card. I will call Anabel and know her next plan about him." The manager said.

Sylvester was given the card, and he walked out, ready to spend some money, not knowing it was unusable.

Sylvester adjusted the cuffs of his expensive shirt, glancing at himself in the mirror with satisfaction. The five million dollars was finally in his possession, and today, he and Vanessa were going to put it to good use. They were going to buy a luxury car.

Vanessa, who was draped in a sleek designer dress, strutted across the room. She checked herself in the full-length mirror, before she turned to Sylvester with a smug smile playing on her lips.

"We are migrating to another level today," she declared, flipping her hair over one shoulder. Sylvester chuckled, slipping his wallet into his pocket.

With their confidence sky-high, they stepped into their old car and headed toward the most renowned car dealership in town. When they arrived, they walked through the entrance with squared shoulders. Their heads held high, radiating wealth and superiority. Vanessa scanned the showroom, and her gaze settled on a stunning luxury car.

"This one," she pointed immediately, turning to the seller. "We like it. We want it."

The salesgirl, a well-dressed young lady, offered them a polite smile before shaking her head. "That car is priced at two million dollars, but unfortunately, someone else has already chosen it. As it stands now, you will need to pick another vehicle."

Vanessa frowned and refused. "No," she said flatly. "We want the car."

A young woman, standing nearby, stepped forward and crossed her arms. "I’ve already chosen this car. So please stop talking about it as if it’s available."

Vanessa scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You chose it, but you haven’t paid for it," she said smugly, and turned back to the seller. "I will add fifty thousand dollars to the price. Sell it to us."

The seller hesitated and shook her head. "I can’t do that," she said. "It wouldn’t be fair to the first buyer."

"Then I will add another fifty thousand," she said, raising her offer to one hundred thousand dollars.

The seller’s resolve was shaken by the amount. "That is a substantial increase," she admitted to herself. "Fine, I will sell it to you."

The young woman’s face darkened with anger and frustration. She should be the one to have the car. "I chose it first," she protested. "You know this is wrong."

The seller shrugged. "If you can match their offer and add a hundred thousand dollars, I will sell it to you instead. It's very simple."

"This isn’t right. I’m not going to pay extra just to keep what I already claimed." The woman said, and the seller sighed. "Then I’m afraid you will have to step aside. This couple will be purchasing the car."
