Pregnant Billionaire Heiress Gave Birth To Twins

Together

Ch. 260 / 286 Apr 29, 2026

Desmond had been following her from afar, from the moment she left her company to Sylvester's house. Desmond knew she may not be able to handle the situation in a proper way. He needed to watch over her and make sure she didn't make any terrible mistakes. He had stopped a pole away from them to watch over Anabel when her driver stopped in Sylvester's apartment.

Desmond knew that she was likely to find them in an uncomfortable position. He knew Sylvester would be celebrating his wins with his fiancée.

When Anabel walked out of Sylvester's apartment, Desmond noticed that she had truly seen what she should have known for a long time.

From Sylvester's apartment, he continued to follow them without their notice until they stopped here at Skyview restaurant.

Desmond walked up to Anabel’s table, and without a word, he reached forward and took the wine from her and placed it on the table, far from her grasp. She didn’t resist. She didn’t say anything. She simply stared at him, silent, empty, and broken.

"What happened? You don't look happy." Desmond asked.

Anabel hesitated for a moment before speaking up. "I should have listened to you. I should have heard you out, but our past kept messing with my head." She paused for a moment before she continued.

"I caught him. I saw them having sex. Him and her so-called cousin. They had been lying to me. They had been deceiving me all this while." She said as a stream of tears began to roll down her eyes.

"Is that why you want to hurt yourself?" Desmond asked. "You want to hurt yourself because of that riffraff who doesn't give a fuck about you. Someone who has literally stolen your money. If not that we had caught him and blocked his account, he would be celebrating with the money by tomorrow, enjoying it with his fiancée."

"I couldn't absorb the shock. I thought I could, but I lost it eventually. I just wanted to clear my head." She replied.

"Clear your head by drinking alcohol when there are other ways to do that." Desmond said. "I wasn't expecting this from you. Drinking alcohol in your condition is not good. It will hurt your baby. It can cause a disaster that can never be collected. It can cause physical and mental disabilities that can last a lifetime. I know you don't want that for your babies. Or is that what you want?" Desmond asked.

Anabel wanted to respond, but the words wouldn’t come. She didn't know what to say. It hurts so much that she wasn't thinking straight. She can never hurt her babies intentionally because of a man or anything.

"You should be happy. You are not losing anything. Sylvester doesn’t even deserve you. He isn't worth your tears. You want to hurt yourself and your babies just because someone who never deserved you betrayed you. Think about it." Desmond added, but Anabel remained quiet.

He took her hand and rubbed it slowly. "I know it hurts, but it's good you found out when it was never late. He was lying to you, stealing from you, and cheating on you. I don't think you should be crying." Desmond said.

"I just... I don’t know how to feel," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "It’s too much."

"It was bound to happen. He never loves you. All he wanted was your money. I'm happy you saw it all yourself today. And...I need you to understand something," he said with a lower and softer voice. "I am here for you. You don't have to worry. I have always been here for you."

"Don't start now." She murmured.

"I'm serious. It was never my intention to divorce you."

"Then why did you?" She asked.

Desmond hesitated for a moment, running a hand through his hair before he leaned back. "Because I thought you really kicked Daniella's tummy to kill her baby. Everything happened so fast. I would have never signed it. The pressure from my mom and sister couldn't let me concentrate to know you cannot do it."
