Scarlett and Lily were in Scarlett's living room, their eyes fixed on the big screen television. They chuckled at a statement one of the characters of the show made and then Scarlett turned to take a long look at Lily.
“What? Why are you staring at me like that?” Lily turned to face her.
“So you notice the look I'm giving you right now but you played blind to Josh's breathtaking stare all afternoon? He's literally in love with you.” Scarlett snapped. She remembered exactly how Josh had his love-filled eyes fixed on Lily, like she was the only one in the room.
“You know, you only get lucky once with this kind of things. You might never find another who looks at you the way he does.”
“Oh please, Scarlett. I've told you this before, I don't want anything of that sort, at least not for now.” Lily rolled her eyes.
“What if you don't find it when you're finally ready?”
“Why are you suddenly sounding like some love expert? I don't want any commitment for now okay? I really don't want to get involved in all that.” Lily explained and took a sip out of her juice.
“Speaking about relationships, what about Ethan?” She asked.
“What about him?”
“Any idea why he left so early?”
“He said something urgent came up.” Scarlett shrugged. She was still feeling bad that Ethan left their lunch early.
“Are you guys a thing now?” Lily grinned.
“No, we're not and I'd like to keep it that way. I prefer we remain friends.” Scarlett immediately answered, keeping a straight face.
“Why? Are you still crushing on that guy?” Lily asked, referring to Adrian.
Before Scarlett could say anything, Vivian came out of nowhere and yelled, “Which guy are you crushing on? Who's the guy rejecting you?” She went ahead to sit with them.
“No guy,” Scarlett answered sternly.
“Listen, Scarlett, you're far too important for any guy to give you a heartbreak, they don't have such rights. I mean, just look at Adrian who I thought was special, he keeps giving me excuses whenever I ask that we meet up. I even suggested that we register our marriage but he told me that he'd think about it!” Vivian complained bitterly.
It wasn't as if she missed Adrian, she only missed the way he used to fuck her. She missed having him ram his giant cock in and out of her and it was pissing her off that he wasn't there when she needed him.
Scarlett turned to look at Lily after her mom's complaint. They exchanged weird looks and Scarlett couldn't help but wonder why Adrian was making up excuses not to meet with her mom. Could it be that he was changing his mind about marrying her mother?
Lily's phone rang all of a sudden and she answered the call while Scarlett returned her gaze to the television, ignoring her mother who was trying to talk to her.
“Hey,” Lily said after her phone call. Scarlett turned to her.
“Josh and Ethan want to come over. Is it cool if they do?” Lily inquired.
“No, I don't want Ethan here.” Scarlett snapped, furrowing her brows.
“Come on Scarlett.” Vivian chipped in, having a sudden glow on her face. She seemed excited for some reason which the girls couldn't decipher.
“Let your friends come over, it's good to have a full house sometimes.” She insisted. Scarlett had no other choice but to give in since both Lily and her mother wanted to have the guys come over. Lily called Josh back and told them that they could start coming.
Twenty minutes later, they arrive and everyone exchanges greetings with Ethan and Vivian acting weird around each other.
“You kids have fun now, I'll be in my room,” Vivian said, smiled at them, and went back to her room. Ethan watched her until she was out of sight.
“Come on guys, let's do something fun!” Lily screamed and Josh suggested that they play games. They decided to play charades with the boys teaming up against the girls.
Before they started, Scarlett ordered some Chinese food and then went to join them.
“Um.. elephant?” Ethan tried to guess what Josh was doing but Josh shook his head and repeated the action, placing his arm over his nose and picking invisible things off the floor.
“Uh.. uh… anteater! Anteater!” Ethan yelled.
“Yes!” Josh jumped victoriously and went back to his seat while Lily came out for her turn. She started to wiggle her whole body, leaving Scarlett confused.
“What the fuck is that? A worm?”
Lily shook her head and continued to wiggle her body as hard as she could, causing the boys to laugh their butts out. Scarlett found it difficult to guess what she was doing until their time was up.
“Scarlett! I was a flag! A waving flag!”
“What? What kind of flag was that!?” Scarlett groaned and then the doorbell rang. It was their food and Ethan went to get it. They immediately started eating and once they were done, they continued with their games.
They were having so much fun that they didn't know when it started to get dark. Josh and Ethan decided to sleep in that night and Scarlett had no problem with it.
She took them to the guest room where they settled in and then took Lily to her room. Scarlett was tired and decided to rest but Lily stayed up chatting with Josh and giggling to herself.
After a while, she snuck out of the room, leaving Scarlett on her own.
At exactly 11:30 pm, Scarlett's eyes flung open as she found it difficult to sleep. She looked around, Lily still wasn't back in the room, she was aware of when she snuck out of the room. Scarlett decided to go get herself some snacks from the kitchen to keep herself busy since she couldn't sleep.
On her way to the kitchen, she walked past her mum's room and heard some weird noises that sounded like muffled moans and slapping. She ignored it and continued her journey to the kitchen. She turned on the lights in the kitchen only to find Lily and Josh making out in the dark. They separated as soon as the lights came on.
“Don't mind me. I just need to pick up some snacks and I'll be out of your hair.” She grinned and she opened the fridge and took what she wanted. She turned off the lights and went back upstairs.
She decided to check on Ethan and when she opened the guest room, he wasn't there.
“Where could he be?”
“Ethan! Ethan!!” She called out in the dark but got no response. She left the room and started looking for him around the house, calling out his name. She suddenly bumped into him, and he was looking all sweaty and even panting.
“Where are you coming from? And why are you all sweaty?” She questioned, staring at him.
“Well I couldn't sleep so I decided to work out,” Ethan answered, smiling at her.
“That's okay. Freshen up before you go to bed. I'll be in my room.” She told him and continued to her room.
She walked past her mother's room again but this time, the sounds had subsided. She couldn't help but wonder if it was Adrian who was in her mother's room. Why would he visit her again after rejecting her proposal?
Out of curiosity, she decided to have a peek into her mother's room. She pushed the door slightly open only to find Vivian sleeping soundly and quietly on the bed.
“What? How come?” Scarlett was confused.
Did the guy that was with her mom leave already? She didn't remember seeing or hearing the front door open. Or maybe she didn't notice?
