Louisa's POV
When I woke up in the morning, Lucas had already gone.
I was about to get up, but I couldn't find any clothes around me.
Then, Lucian walked into the tent with several soldiers.
He was wearing a black velvet suit and a white cape.
As always, he looked radiating in a suit.
Those soldiers put clothes and shoes in front of my bed and walked out of the tent.
Lucian walked towards me and said, "Good morning, she-wolf. I need you to get dressed. Alpha's waiting for you at the dining hall."
"Waiting for me?" I was confused, covering my naked body with a blanket.
"He wants to have breakfast with you. But before that..." He approached me and grabbed the collar on my neck.
I gasped in fear and said, "What are you doing?!"
Lucian unlocked the collar and put it on the nightstand.
"The ambassadors will be there. You can't show up with a collar. It doesn't look good," he said.
"You don't want to chain me up again?" I rubbed my neck and asked.
"I have never wanted to chain you up," he replied.
"What if I run away?" I asked.
Lucian replied, "You'll be dead. You have fully consummated with Alpha. So now, if you leave his vicinity, you'll feel extremely upset. The further you run away, the faster you wither."
"You're doing well without Gianna on your side," I said.
"I'm not an Alpha. It doesn't work out the same way. Now put on your clothes and come with me," he said.
I picked up that emerald silky dress. It was decorated with pearls and corals.
"This looks very expensive," I murmured.
"Alpha wants you to have it. So put it on and we're on our way." Lucian started to get a bit impatient.
I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror.
I looked so pale in emerald. It fitted me almost seamlessly.
My blonde hair looked a bit messy, so I grabbed a brush and started to comb it.
The neckline of this dress was too low, revealing too much of my chest.
If I had some time, I would sew it up.
"Sit down," Lucian commanded.
I frowned and sat on the bed.
Lucian took that pair of heels and got on one knee in front of me.
Then, he bent over and helped me to put on those ruby-colored heels.
When his hands grabbed my ankle, I felt so awkward and withdrew my feet.
"I'll put them on by myself..." I said in a soft voice.
"Stay put, she-wolf," Lucian said, without raising his head to look at me.
I had no choice but to sit on the edge of the bed and let him put on that pair of shoes.
I didn't feel entirely comfortable being served by a man like this, but I had to admit that...
It felt damn good.
After helping me to put on a pair of shoes, Lucian stood up and said, "Come with me."
I stood up.
Then, I fell forward.
Lucian grabbed me by the arm and helped me to regain my balance.
I felt so embarrassed.
Looking at me, Lucian asked, "You have never worn a pair of high heels before, haven't you?"
I rubbed my nose and nodded, feeling toasted.
He sighed and turned me around, getting behind my back.
Then, he put his hands around my waist.
"It's not that hard. Try taking a few steps," he said.
I turned my head back and looked up at him.
"What?" He looked confused.
"You have to promise that you won't let go of me," I said.
He brought a wry smile and said, "I won't let go of you."
I took a few steps forward and a few steps back.
Then, I tripped over something on the floor and fell into his arms.
"Do I have to wear them? If felt so uncomfortable," I murmured.
"You have to wear them. It's a diplomatic situation. You're not supposed to feel comfortable. You'll get used to it." Lucian looked down at me and said.
"What if I walked there bare feet and put the heels on before getting into the dining hall? I can secretly remove this pair of shoes, so..." I asked.
"There's no negotiation over this. You'll wear them and walk in them. Today is your first debut in public. People are very curious about you. Everyone will be watching you," Lucian said.
"People? Who are they?" I asked.
"You'll see," Lucian said and let me grab his arm.
Then, he walked me out of the tent.
The White Walkers camp was very organized.
Soldiers and maids passing by gave regard, one after another.
I heard some maids discussing in the distance.
"Is she Alpha's new maid?"
"Yeah. She looked fabulous in that dress."
"So what? My mistress told me that this girl isn't Alpha's type. She's too tiny and weak. She also told me that Alpha would have her killed within a few days."
"Yeah, Josephine is the one who Alpha really likes. She's taller, stronger, and a lot prettier. She's the right candidate for Alpha's Luna."
"And you know what? She's been invited to have breakfast with Alpha. She'll be introduced to all the ambassadors during breakfast and she'll be sitting next to Alpha."
"Really?!"
"Yeah. Alpha sent messengers to her tent this morning. She's getting ready now."
Lucian looked at a soldier on his side.
He immediately walked to those girls and said, "What are you girls doing? You're supposed to prepare for the breakfast party."
"Sorry, Sir," they apologized.
Then, they dispersed and disappeared.
"Who's Josephine?" I looked up at Lucian and asked.
"She's Gamma's younger sister and one of Alpha's girlfriends," Lucian replied.
"Does Alpha have a lot of girlfriends?" I frowned.
But I instantly regretted it after I raised this question.
Of course, he had a lot of girlfriends.
He was such a douchebag who fucks with everything that moves in front of him.
Lucian lowered his voice and said, "It doesn't matter how many girlfriends he's got. He's only got one mate. That's you."
I lowered my head.
I didn't like the idea of Lucas having sex with other women, especially after last night.
The thought of him touching and kissing other women abhorred me, even though I wasn't ready to love him.
But I obviously didn't have any sayings over this issue.
"Don't be demotivated, she-wolf," Lucian said. "He asked me to move you into the Luna Tent today. You're very important to him."
"I'm not his Luna. So I don't want to get into the Luna Tent." I protested.
"That's what he wants," Lucian shrugged and said.
Then he stopped in front of a grand tent which was located at the center of the camp.
"We're here, she-wolf. You need to walk on your own now. Take a deep breath and smile. You'll be alright," he said.
