Louisa's POV
"Are you in love with him?!" I asked my wolf in my mind.
"He's strong, powerful, and handsome. And he's my mate. I want to carry his babies," my wolf replied.
"Be quiet! He can hear us talking in my mind!" I said in a panic in my mind.
At the same time, I managed to physically break away from Lucas' long passionate kiss.
"I don't mind. I'm telling the truth," she said.
I shook my head and said, "Stop."
As soon as I said it out loud, I regretted it.
Lucas stopped kissing me and looked at me with a gentle smile.
Finn was back again.
"I don't mean to ask you to stop. I'm telling my wolf... She... She doesn't know what she's talking about..." I stuttered when I talked to him.
I secretly wished that he hadn't heard what we were talking about.
"Don't be so harsh on your little wolf, she's just telling the truth," he smirked at me.
"Finn, you're so naughty. Please stop getting into my mind," I said with embarrassment, wiping my mouth and the sweat on my forehead.
At that time, a giant ivory-colored carriage approached us.
The curtain was lifted, and Alpha Zackery's handsome face appeared behind it.
"It's getting hot outside. Does that young lady in your arms want to get into the carriage with me?" He asked with a gentle smile.
I could feel that Lucas' fists underneath the cape tightened.
I looked up at him and saw his face darkened immediately, like the dark clouds indicating an impending big storm.
Then, the clouds in his eyes were all gone, replaced by icy cruelty.
Lucas was back.
"It's very considerate of you to make an offer like that, Alpha Zackery. I notice that you're showing a lot of interest in this little she-wolf," he said.
Alpha Zackery chuckled and said, "You have a pair of eagle eyes and I have a pair of artist's eyes. That's why we're always able to notice vulnerable and beautiful things in our lives, for all the beauty is fragile."
I was shocked. I had never thought he could be so cheeky in front of a formidable man like Lucas.
I didn't know Lucas well, but he didn't come across as someone who would put up with presumptuous jokes like this.
But to my surprise, Lucas didn't say anything.
He was completely silent.
I turned my head towards the man sitting in the carriage with surprise.
He looked very relaxed and comfortable as if he had already taken Lucas' silent consent for granted... As if he had never realized how offensive he was.
"Come here," Alpha Zackery waved at me, smiling.
I frowned, shaking my head.
"No, I don't want to..." I whispered.
But I doubted if Lucas heard my objection because he approached Alpha Zackery's carriage.
"Lucas..."
Lucas lifted me up and handed me to the carter.
"You've heard His Excellency's command. Get into the carriage and stay there," he said.
Then, he rode off.
The carriage door opened.
Alpha Zackery stretched out his arms at me and said, "There you go. Come inside."
Then, I was almost pushed inside by the carter.
As I staggered forward, I was caught by Alpha Zackery.
The door was shut behind me.
I looked up. The carriage was large and spacious, with sophisticated ornaments and decorations.
The whole cart smelt like jasmine flowers and peach blossoms.
Alpha Zackery was in a white well-ironed hunting suit.
His white cape was put next to him, with a giant long sword lying next to it.
I looked at the golden pattern sewn on the cape and recognized that it was a rockrose, which was the symbol of the royal family.
Who is this person? I thought to myself while looking at his flawless face.
He was in his early thirties, with fair hair and complexion. Unlike the chiseled face of Lucas, his facial features were more moderate, a little bit feminine.
When I stared into his icy blue eyes, I found that he was looking at me as well. There was something in his eyes that reminded me of the thrashing waves of the Aegir Sea. It was fierce, expressive, and sincere.
I tried to shift to the side to keep a distance from him.
He was a bit surprised by my reaction and said, "You look terrified. Has he abducted you? What's your name?"
"I don't have a name," I replied in a low voice. "And you are the one who abducted me."
Alpha Zackery looked confused.
"Me? Abducting you? I thought I was saving you from the big bad wolf." He said in a gentle voice and smiled at me again. His smile was heartwarming and reassuring.
Only royal princes have that kind of benevolent smile as if they understand everything and are ready to forgive anything.
Then, he leaned back, stretched out his long legs, and said, "If you don't want to tell me your name, it's OK. I'll just refer to you as Miss She-wolf as Lucian does."
"I've already told you, I don't have a name. Call me whatever you like," I said.
I didn't want to bother him with my tragic life story.
He's a prince. I'm nobody. We have nothing to do with each other. That's just what it is and it's better off staying that way. I thought to myself.
Alpha Zackery drew himself closer to me. "I didn't mean to offend you, young lady. When I saw you for the first time, I immediately got the feeling that I had seen you somewhere. Your look, your figure, and your demeanor reminded me of someone. I would like to learn more about you, but of course, with your consent."
I lowered my head.
"Lucas, could you please come back and take me away from this guy? I don't want to be with him." I pleaded desperately in my mind.
"Stay with that fucking gigolo and make him happy. That's a fucking order." I heard his impatient voice in my mind.
"But why? He's a complete stranger to me. I don't want to be with him in a carriage like this."
"Why? You're asking me fucking why?! Uh, let me think about it. Because that's my order! There's no fucking why! He's the fucking brother of the fucking King! He gets whatever he wants! So you'd better do whatever he asks you to do. I don't care if you have to share your fucking miserable life story with him or spread your legs and give him a fucking handjob. I don't fucking care! You've heard me?!"
I couldn't believe what I heard and whispered in despair, "But I'm your mate..."
He interrupted me impatiently, "I don't care what kind of fucking spell Lucian has cast on you or what kind of fucking misleading message Finn has been sending to you. You're nothing to me, you fucking little slut. Keep that in your fucking mind and then we'll sort something out."
