Louisa's POV
"Where are you going, Lisa?" Colt asked me when he saw me walking out of the yard.
"I'm going to forage some berries in the forest," I replied.
I didn't look at him because I didn't want him to worry about me.
"OK. I'll go with you," Colt said.
"No. I'll go there by myself. Don't follow me." I said and continued to walk out.
"Lisa..." Colt grabbed me by my arm.
"What?!" I got impatient and looked at him.
Colt threw his hands up in the air and said, "Wow, you're really in a bad mood. I get it. A lot of things have happened and you need to chill out a bit. But I just want to tell you that you need to take the basket..."
He took up the basket from the ground and put it on my back.
"Please don't go too far," he said, "And this is for you. I've made it for you in the past few days."
He put a small folded comb in my hands.
It looked just like an ordinary comb, but when I pressed a button at the bottom, the comb teeth changed into sharp blades.
I put it in my pocket and lowered my head.
"Thank you, Colt. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shouted at you. It's just... I really prefer to be with myself now," I said.
He held my hands and said, "Lisa, don't worry. I understand. I'll be here waiting for you and I'll take care of Darren and Will."
For a brief moment, I really wished I could tell him what had happened.
But I couldn't.
I knew Lucas would kill him in a blink of an eye.
So, I quickly ran out of the yard.
Tears kept falling from my face.
At first, they were just dripping. But then, they blurred my vision.
I didn't want to wipe them.
I let them fall on the ground and break into pieces.
I leaned against the tree and slowly slid down the ground.
Eventually, I held my knees and started to cry out loud.
Then, I heard the sound of steps.
I looked up and saw Lucian standing right in front of me, surrounded by soldiers.
He was wearing a white rider's suit and long boots. He had the exact same look on his face, just as the first time I saw him in my father's mansion.
"Stand up and come with us," he said.
His voice was as cold as ever.
I looked up at him.
"Beta Lucian, you've saved me once... You took me away from my family..." I whispered.
I wished, if there was only the slightest chance, that Lucian would generate some sympathy for me.
But no.
There was nothing in his piercing blue eyes.
"Stand up, she-wolf," he said.
I shook my head while moving back, "He's going to hurt me! You know that's what he's going to do! Are you going to watch him hurting me again?"
"Yes," Lucian looked at me and said. He waved his hand, and some soldiers came forward and pulled me up.
I struggled violently and tried to push them away. Then, I pulled out a dagger from my sleeves and waved at them.
I used it to kill a giant hog and I didn't mind using it on people who wanted to hurt me.
"Stay away from me! Don't come closer! If you..."
I didn't finish my sentences before my wrist was grabbed and pulled up in the air.
I had to let go of the dagger because of the pain in my wrist.
The dagger in my hand dropped silently into Lucian's hand.
"Let go of me!" I shouted in pain.
He didn't let go of my wrist. Instead, he grabbed my arm and twisted them behind my back.
He pushed me to the soldiers, looked at the dagger, and said, "You're getting stronger, she-wolf. That's a very good thing, but it's too late. You're making my job very difficult recently."
The soldiers lifted me up, pushed me into a carriage, and locked the door.
"Where's Finn?! Let me see him!" I pressed myself against the carriage window and raised my voice.
"If you don't want to be shredded into pieces, don't ever mention another man's name to him." Lucian got on the horse and said.
"Tell me where Finn is! I want to see him! Beta Lucian! I know you can hear me!" I punched the barred window while watching his tall slender figure disappear from my sight.
"Beta Lucian!" I shouted.
"Shut up, bitch," a soldier slapped his shield at the window and yelled.
I bit my lips and wiped the tears from my face.
"I can't believe I was pulled out of a whorehouse for a fucking detail like this. Someone explains to me why we didn't kill her," a soldier asked.
"Alpha wants to fuck her, you dumb ass," another soldier said.
"Is she any good?"
"She must be. Or else Alpha wouldn't send Beta to collect her, especially when the King's envoys are in town. That's a fucking circus."
"I don't know, she doesn't come across as Alpha's type. She's too tiny. Alpha likes tall girls with big tits. You know, like Gamma's sister."
"Josephine? Oh, mine. She's good. I'm sure about that."
"Really? How's so?"
"I saw her once, you know, while Alpha was doing it with her."
"No way! You didn't!"
"I sure did, and she was like..."
"What?! At the same time? Can women do that?"
"They sure can, if they're really good at multitasking, you know."

"Seriously, you want to try it on a skinny bitch like her?"
"She's skinny, but it's better than nothing."
"Cool, let's take turns."
"I'll go first."
Then, I heard the clashing sound of lock and key.
The door opened and a soldier got in.
I moved to the corner of the carriage and curled up.
"Go away! Don't come closer!" I raised my voice.
"Shut up, whore, don't you dare to make a sound." The soldier unbuckled his pants and took off his belt.
