Erika’s POV
I guessed that was the side effect of the potion. It strengthened her body and made her go wild. However, it also made her more sensitive to physical pain. The veins on her neck all popped out and her face turned red.
I walked over and sneered at her. Now that she couldn’t kill me immediately, she stood no chance.
I summoned another dagger and threw it into her heart. She shrilled and trembled out of control. I knew she must be in extreme pain since the potion could magnify the pains. After violent spasm for a minute, her wolf lay on the ground motionless.
Then she shifted into human form with my dagger cut into her heart. She was covered with nothing but her blood.
But I had no mercy towards her. She asked for it.
At this time, Derek walked toward me with a proud smile on his face.
He walked over, raised my hand, and announced, “I announce that Erika Barlett is the winner of the challenge!”
Loud applause burst out from the audience.
“Wow, Erika, you are the best!” Angel shouted from the audience. She was the loudest.
I waved at her and then went to the seat beside Derek’s seat.
However, there were also some voices against me.
“No!”
“Emma! She killed our Emma!” Some girls were shouting in dismay. They must be Emma’s followers. There was even a girl who ran to the training ground.
As expected, a guard stopped her.
“I just want to cover her body with my clothes. She’s still naked!” the girl argued.
“I’m sorry, miss, you can’t get in,” the guard said severely.
Now I realized what a shrewd woman Emma was. She not only challenged me, but also made some young girls her followers. The challenge did not end with her death.
Derek also noticed it. He didn’t walk back with me. Instead, he stayed in the middle of the ground. He signaled the girl to go back to her seat. She did unwillingly.
Derek cleared his throat and began to speak.
“Dear pack members, I have another piece of news to announce to you. I noticed that some of you want to cover Emma’s body. That’s not necessary because she was a traitor. We’ll desert her body to the forest and what will happen to her is none of our business. You think she cares about young girls, but that’s not the truth. Do you still remember the fight between Angel and a warrior? We held a meeting to discuss whether it was proper to allow girls to fight and Emma tried to manipulate the result of the vote. She also connected with the Alpha of Fly Rock Pack and revealed to him some important information about our pack. What her did poses a great threat to the security of our pack. I have collected the evidence and she was lucky to be killed by Luna. Otherwise, she would be interrogated and severely punished. You may also notice that she tried to win the challenge dishonestly. As for Erika, she hasn’t been announced as the Luna yet because she had problem with her health and it has already been solved. There have been many rumors about her recently and they are all wrong. As you can see, she’s perfectly healthy and powerful. She can beat a wolf which goes crazy. She could be the strongest Luna in our pack. I'll choose another day and announce Erika as the Luna of our pack.”
There was so much information that the audience was astonished.
“Really? Did Emma really…” one of Emma’s supporters looked at Emma’s body and asked in disbelief.
Two warriors walked to Emma and put her in a bag. According to Derek, Emma’s body would be deserted to the forest. She could be eaten by a rogue and nobody would give a damn. Derek stood there, watching Emma’s body be taken away and no one dared to stop them.
Finally, the challenge thing was over. Emma was dead. Next would be Richard. But it would be much more difficult since he was Alpha and killing him without any reason may cause a war between the two packs.
Forgot about it. I still had another bone to pick with Derek.
We came back to the pack house together. After so many days, finally I came back to the pack house again. A lot was going on in my heart.
The instant we came to the bedroom and closed the door, I summoned a dagger and threw it at him.
He realized it immediately and dodged the dagger. He turned around and looked at me in confusion. “What are you doing?” he asked.
I ignored his question. I was simply angry and I knew that I could feel better by venting my air toward him. so I summoned another dagger and threw it at him.
He took the dagger by the blade and strode toward me. He didn’t seem to be slowed down by the injuries because they almost recovered.
He grasped my hands with one hand and pressed me to the bed. We both fell to bed. Before I knew it, he straddled me and slapped me in the face.
That was not over. I knew the injury on his leg still hurt, so I kicked him right in the leg.
He fell in bed because of pain and glared at me, completely confused at what was happening.
I jumped out of bed, summoned another dagger, and threw it at him.
He rolled to the carpet immediately and dodged the dagger. So the dagger hit the wall and fell to the ground.
Suddenly, he pounded on me and wrapped his arms around me. We both fell and rolled on the carpet.
We both tried to get on top of each other. But he was much stronger than me. After we fought for a while, he pinned me against the carpet.
He also pressed his legs against mine in case I might kick him again.
Now that I couldn’t attack him, I glared at him angrily.
“What the hell are you doing?” he growled at me.
I mind-linked him while looking him in the eye.
Emma told me that you lost your virginity to her.
He raised his eyebrows at my message. Then he sat up from my body and held me in his arms.
I also sat up against the sofa with my arms crossed, looking at him and waiting for his explanation.
