MONTERO'S MANSION

Antonio's phone ranged, a guard quickly delivered it to him, his hand trembling. The call was from one of his men he had sent to get Diana, with a fake message that he had agreed to her condition in order to lure her into his trap, but she was smarter than he thinks. "What do you mean, she is not at the hotel!" He shouted. His grandma and Courtney looked up at him, worried at the outburst.

"This is so unlike Angela, what could have happened?" Doris thought and paced back and forth in the room, her feet echoing off the walls as she tried to stop the feeling of unease and anxiousness, but it only grew with time. She kept trying Angela's number and her eyes kept drifting to the clock, the minutes ticking by at a glacial pace. She felt like she was stuck in limbo, unable to move forward or find peace until she heard from Angela.

Her sister, Rachel, walked into the living room with a tray of neat glass for the expected visitors. She saw the worry look on her sister’s face. "Hey, sis, what's going on? You look really terrible. What's the matter?" She asked concerned. Doris sighed heavily sitting on the couch, sad and worn out. "I haven't heard from Angela in hours," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "They were supposed to be here by now, it's getting late already, I texted her when we were baking the pizza… but no reply yet, nothing. No call, no text, no update."

Rachel's expression turned sympathetic. "That does sound worrying. Have you tried calling her?" Doris put a hand on her aching head. "Of course! Multiple times. It goes straight to voicemail. I am seriously worried for her sake… I have a bad feeling about this, I just hope she is safe…".

Rachel sighed and walked over to Doris. She gave her big sister a reassuring tap on her shoulder. "I know you are worried, sis. But freaking out won't solve the problem. Let's try to stay calm and hope that she is safe, and maybe she had a reason for that." Doris nodded and sighed. "I guess you are right, nothing will happen if I panic until tomorrow, if only there's someone…" Her eyes widened as she suddenly remembered Antonio. "Why haven't I thought of this? Fuck me!" She cursed and rushed to grab her phone.

"What now?" Rachel asked curiously. "I think I know what happened to Angela". Doris replied. "You do?" Doris nodded as her hands trembled with anger as she dialed Antonio's number. He was the one who called before, asking for Angela. There's no doubt that he must have caught up with Angela and took her. She had always suspected him of being a secret mafia, which was confirmed by Angela, and now she was convinced he was behind Angela's disappearance. The phone was ringing but no one was answering. "Come on, pick up!" Doris snapped in annoyance with a hand on her waist and the other clicking on the table impatiently.

**** AT THE MONTERO'S****

Antonio was being lectured by Grandma Elizabeth over his anger issues. She was at least impressed that he had no blonde blowing him with a toy stuck in the ass, but hitting the guards to a near death is something that had to be worked on. No matter what, she never fails to understand the pain that grandson of hers was facing at the moment. Whatever happened to Angela is not good and this can be a life and dead situation.

"You have to answer your call and stop hitting the guard for crying out loud, you’ve sent many to the medicals already".

"Just shut it, you old bitch".

"Antonio!" Courtney snapped back at him. "You have to apologize to Grandma". She frowned. "And you have to take your leave, no one wants you around here". His voice growled.

Grandma Elizabeth sighed. "I understand your frustrations, Antonio, but at least answer your call…it might be a call from Angela…you never know". Courtney pleaded. Antonio's gaze stabbed her, he was definitely drunk and too high to give a fuck. Courtney shook her head…she walked to where his phone was ringing and checked the caller. "Angela's friend?"

Before she could lift her face to say anything, Antonio snatched the phone in a flash. He quickly dialed the number, his heart racing.

"You called!" Doris answered, surprised that he actually called back. "Where is she? Is she with you? Talk to me!"

"What…? Don't confuse yourself, Antonio, it's Doris. And listen, I know what you've done," she spat out, her voice low and menacing. Antonio swallowed hard, that tone in her voice and the reply was nothing that he wants to hear, his anger was boiling.

"What the fuck are you talking about? Where is Angela?!" His voice gave her a jumpstart, but she would rather not be scared off by that. He is most definitely just playing with her mind.

"Don't play dumb with me! I know you're behind Angela's disappearance. If you've hurt her, I swear… I'll make you pay."

Antonio chuckled, his bloody palm wiped over his face in frustration and anger. "You called me to threaten me? I must have given you too much freedom and familiarity to think such a silly thing."

Doris's anger boiled over that comment. "Who do you think you are! I know you're involved. If I don't hear from Angela in the next hour, I'll go to the police and make sure you regret ever crossing me, and let me remind you not all police men are moved by your money and influence."

Antonio's tone turned cold. "A pauper threatening me, you are like an ant. You don't want to mess with me."

Doris shut down the phone, her heart racing with fury. She knew she had to act fast to ensure Angela's safety. With Rachel's support, she began making calls to contacts in the police department, determined to get to the bottom of Antonio's involvement.
