“Summon all the maids who attended to my grandmother's chambers! Every last one of them! I want them here, now!” The guards scrambled to obey, rushing out of the room to fetch the maids. Antonio's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity, his mind racing with suspicion and anger. Who among them had betrayed Montero's trust? Who had poisoned grandmother? The maids arrived, their faces were pale and frightened. Antonio's gaze swept over them like a storm. “This is all of them?” His voice came loudly. “We caught some of them sneaking out of Montero's Mansion, my Lord”. One of the guards answered. “I see, you want to run away, huh?” He smirked at them. “No…no, young master, please forgive us”. The maid chorused as they shook their heads continuously, unable to make eye contact, their body trembling. “Which one of you did it?” he growled, his voice low and menacing. “Which one of you dared to harm my grandmother?” The maids trembled, their eyes darting nervously at each other. “N-no one, my lord,” one of them stammered. “We would never harm the grand mistress…” Antonio's eyes narrowed, his voice dripping with skepticism. “We'll see about that.” He smirked devilishly. He gestured to his guards. "You know what to do”. The guards moved forward, their hands grasping for the maids. “Wait!” one of the maids cried out, her voice trembling. “Please, my lord, I think I know something!” Antonio's gaze snapped to her, his eyes piercing. “Speak!” he commanded. The maid hesitated, her eyes darting around the room. “It was Mrs. Helen, the senior maid, who attended to the Grand mistress last night…she disappeared the next morning without any trace. Mistress Courtney suspected her to be the one. Forgive us, my lord.” Antonio's eyes narrowed as he turned to the guards. “How did she get out of Montero's Mansion without any trace?” he growled at his guards. “Sir…we…we have no idea”. One of them, back enough to answer, forced those words out, his feet sweating. Antonio smiled back, he raised a thick brow. “I see? You have absolutely no idea…how a maid escaped this mansion after poisoning my grandma”. He rushed to the guard and caught him in the throat. “What were you idiots thinking? That I am a fool? You're all in on it, aren't you?!”. The sound of footsteps echoed outside the room, followed by the burst of doors opening and the rush of boots on the floor. Antonio's grip on the guard's throat tightened, his eyes blazing with fury, as he snarled, “Tell me, who is behind this?!” Just as he was about to deliver the final blow, a voice interrupted. “Antonio, let him go, hitting him won't bring back the dead” a firm voice commanded. Antonio's head whipped around, his eyes locking onto the intruder. It was Damon standing in a pose with his two hands in his pocket. That grin on his face. Antonio released the guard with an expressionless face, the guard collapsed to the floor, coughing. However, his eyes never left Damon's face. “You showed your face here? You are dead, you know that”. He muttered dryly. "Antonio, you're not thinking clearly, little brother, I understand how you feel, believe me I do". Damon said, with a hand on his face, playing a concerned brother. Without a second thought, Antonio launched himself at Damon, grabbing his collar and delivering a blinding punch to his face repeatedly. Damon stumbled back, blood trickling from his lips. “You brat! You are responsible for all this!” “If I were you, I would be on my best behavior, you don't have to show them how deadly you can be”. Damon whispered. Antonio's face was still pale and expressionless, his eyes moved from Damon's smiling bruised face to the faces of the police officers. “Who let those in here?” He asked no one in particular, letting go of Damon. The guards left the room one after the other. Damon cleared his throat. “Oh them? This is Officer Rider and Officer Bolt, I met them on my way in, they said they had some business with you”. Damon said care freely, still smiling at him, wiping the blood from his lips with satisfaction. Antonio's eyes stabbed the officers. Investigator Rider and Officer Bolt approached him fearlessly, their hands resting on their weapons. “Mr. Antonio Montero, you are under arrest, for the murder of Diana,” Rider said, his voice firm. Antonio was speechless for a minute. Diana is dead? How? What about Angela? He scoffed. “Give me a break, this is the best you can do, brat?” He turned to Damon with a carefree attitude, eyes cold and emotionless. Damon shrugged. “I have no idea what you are talking about, little bro…” Before he could finish, Antonio hit him again, sending him to the floor. Damon tried to scramble away, but Antonio was on him, pinning him down. “Where is Angela? Or I will…” “Mr. Antonio, step back!” A voice commanded, interrupting him. Officer Bolt stepped forward, showing his identification card. “I hate interruption, fools.” He growled back at the officer. “We have evidence, Mr. Antonio. Evidence that links you to the crime scene. We have to arrest you immediately for the murder of Ms Diana Ross.” “Oh officers, thank you for the intervention, my little brother here is clearly out of control, he is grieving and confused”. Damon smirked, still lying on the floor.
