Destined by One Night: The CEO's Pursuit

Chapter 79

Ch. 79 / 281 Apr 07, 2026

"I, I don't know either..." Yvonne frowned. She sounded so upset.

She didn't know what was going on.

She had arranged everything in advance, so why would such a thing happen?

She thought, "Damn it!!

Who the hell was it?"

"Which room is it? Find him! This brat! Our family already owes the Remington family a lot. I wonder what will happen to us after this mess?" Guillermo shouted angrily as he walked forward in a hurry.

He could tell that it was Velma's voice.

"Honey ... wait for me!" Yvonne was anxious. If it was Malcolm, the Remington family would not say anything.

But if it was Hugo, the Remingtons would definitely make a big deal out of it.

Suddenly, a group of reporters barged into the dark room.

The lights in the room were turned on.

They quickly took so many pictures of the two.

"Get out. Get the hell out of here." Debbie ran in and pushed all the reporters out.

With a bang, the door closed.

Her cold gaze swept across the reporters who were taking pictures hurriedly with their cameras. She said coldly, "If you dare to report what happened tonight, the Remington family will do anything to destroy you."

One of the male reporters sneered, "Mrs. Remington, don't think you can cover this up. Even if we don't report it, the people who see it at the banquet will tell everyone."

"He's right. Mrs. Remington, may I ask if the people inside are Velma and Hugo? Are they really in love? Didn't they say that Velma is Malcolm's fiancée? How could she be with Hugo?" A female reporter asked perceptively.

Debbie closed her eyes, feeling a headache. How did everything become such a mess?

What Velma told her was that she wanted to go to the room to change her clothes. And when Debbie went to the bathroom and saw Michelle insulting Marilyn, she decided to wait for Marilyn and ridicule her.

Just as she was about to leave, she heard her daughter's voice on TV. This time, Velma really brought shame to the Remington family.

"Mrs. Remington, please answer the question I just asked." The female reporter looked at Debbie with a sharp gaze and continued to press hard.

This was breaking news.

There had been rumors about the marriage between the Remington family and the Lowe family, but they were all talking about Malcolm and Velma.

But now they saw Hugo and Velma together.

Everyone was more or less disappointed, but it was still big news.

"What the hell are you all doing?" Guillermo, who rushed over, let out a roar, causing all the reporters to look back at him.

The reporters immediately stopped shooting and looked at Guillermo.

"Mr. Lowe, we are just doing what we are told to do..."

"Shut up. This matter stays here. You must not report this, or I'll shut down your companies and ruin your career for good."

Guillermo threatened the reporters. With the Lowe family's status in Fielddell, he could shut down all the news agencies.

The reporters looked at each other in dismay. They had heard that they could get big news here. Someone even told them the room number. So they rushed in here.

The explosive news was something that every reporter wanted.

Seeing that they were silent, Guillermo looked even more gloomy and terrifying than before.

The way he talked made the reporters lower their heads and involuntarily take a few steps back.

Guillermo roared, "Delete the photos. Delete them all. Delete them and you're good to go. Tomorrow morning, if any news agency dares to report it, I will shut them down."

Then he picked up the phone and called his secretary.

The secretary, Spencer Undergrove, quickly brought two people over.

Jacob, who was not far away, cut off the power. The TV was turned off. Those embarrassing scenes vanished in no time.

Seeing this, Debbie heaved a sigh of relief.

However, deep down, she understood that it was impossible to keep this a secret. However, as long as the news agency didn't release it, those who saw it at the banquet wouldn't dare to do anything. No one wanted to offend the two families.

Besides, she looked at the TV carefully just now, and even she did not recognize that it was Velma. She could only tell the women's Velma by her voice.

She was too anxious before. If she had not come over, she would not have been able to tell that it was Velma in the dark room.

Spencer brought the reporters into another room.

After that, Debbie sat on the ground with a pale face, feeling exhausted.

Jacob saw her and immediately went forward to help her up.

"Mom, are you alright?" Jacob said in a cold, angry voice.

He helped Debbie walk to his room without even looking at Guillermo and his wife.

Darren and his father, Tyrone, followed.

Guillermo looked at Tyrone guiltily.

"Tyrone..."

Tyrone waved his hand with a pale face and said in a low voice, "Let's go back to the room and talk."

There were many people here, and if someone accidentally heard a sentence, it would cause Velma great trouble.

Although Tyrone did not like Velma very much, he still regarded her as his kid. After all, she was still a member of the Remington family.

Guillermo nodded and followed Tyrone with Yvonne.

Before Yvonne left, she glanced at the door of the room. She could still hear them. Her face was gloomy, and blue veins bulged on her forehead.

What exactly was going on?

Where did Malcolm go?

Yvonne was a little uneasy. She was afraid that Malcolm had set her up.

Malcolm was someone you don't want to mess up with.

Yvonne thought as she walked, "Isn't Malcolm trying to use what happened tonight to get rid of Velma, right?"

But how did Malcolm know about her plan?

Yvonne could not figure it out.

Back in the room, Tyrone and his family sat on the sofa. The atmosphere was depressing.

Yvonne and Guillermo sat opposite them.

The light was bright. They can see each other's faces clearly.

Everyone put on a serious face and lowered their heads, without saying a word.

If the people involved were not here, whatever they said would be in vain.

All of them lowered their heads in anger and did not speak.

Malcolm, Julian, Sergio, and Terence returned to the room on the other side. Marilyn also changed her clothes and came along.

She saw all of them.

She was slightly surprised and asked, "Mr. Lowe, can we go back now?"

She checked the time on her phone. It was still early.

But she wanted to go back. After this day, she was very tired.

Malcolm saw that she had changed her clothes. This dress was slightly longer than the one just now but slimmer.

He smiled in satisfaction. He thought Marilyn was glamorous.

"Lynn, wait a moment. You can go back later." He was calm, and he restrained himself a lot in front of his brothers.
