Contract With Alpha Theodore

Chapter 34

Ch. 34 / 220 Apr 30, 2026

Melinda's POV

Fawn looked at my reaction and continued smugly, "It's true. I asked a friend from the admissions office specifically. The principal and vice principal accompanied that woman. It's clear her family is either wealthy or noble, probably trying to get in through connections."

Raven was also confused by the news and asked doubtfully, "Our school is never short of rich kids, but who is this woman exactly? Do you know her identity?"

Fawn shook her head helplessly, "No idea, but no matter how wealthy the people at our school are, we've never seen the principal and vice principal personally receive anyone before. It shows that this woman's family background must be extraordinary."

"So beautiful and wealthy, yet trying to steal someone else's boyfriend, how strange."

Fawn and Raven discussed back and forth, each of their words like a sharp sword, piercing my heart and leaving me in a panic.

I knew that if Vanya really came to Wolfe, the lies I had carefully woven would be exposed mercilessly.

Thinking of Cliff's hasty departure from the hospital early in the morning, I guessed it was probably for this matter.

Just then, my phone suddenly rang, and Cliff's name appeared on the screen.

I answered it hastily, as if grasping a lifeline, and walked outside the dormitory to answer.

"The hospital said you checked out. What's going on?" Cliff's voice came through the receiver, concerned.

"I'm afraid of falling behind in my studies, so I came back first," I replied cautiously.

"Studies are important, but your health is more important. Don't go to class lately. I'll have Elliot help you ask for leave from school."

Cliff's words were gentle, but I could feel the undeniable command in his tone.

After hesitating for a while, I mustered up the courage to ask, "Alpha Cliff, I heard that Luna Vanya is also coming to Wolfe. Is it true?"

"Who told you that?" At the mention of Vanya, Cliff's tone turned cold instantly.

I could imagine him frowning at that moment.

I hurriedly explained, "It's... it was my classmates who saw a beautiful lady at the school gate who also wanted to take the exam. You said earlier that the school called, and it was related to Luna Vanya, so I thought maybe Luna Vanya is also coming to our school."

"It's her own decision, and I won't help her. Don't worry about this. Just focus on recovering."

Cliff's words lifted a weight off my shoulders, and I let out a deep sigh of relief.

As long as Cliff didn't help Vanya, she wouldn't be able to get into this school on her own.

Back when I worked hard to get into Wolfe, I went through so much effort and hardship.

Vanya, a spoiled rich girl, even if she crams knowledge at the last minute, would never be able to step through the doors of this school.

"Alpha Cliff, there's one more thing..." I bit my lip, nervously saying.

"What is it?" Cliff responded.

"The day after tomorrow is my birthday. Can I invite you to dinner?" I waited for Cliff's answer nervously, my heart pounding in my chest as if it would jump out.

"Sure," Cliff's answer was straightforward and decisive.

Hearing this, I immediately smiled happily, looking forward to spending my birthday with him.

Although this year had some setbacks due to Vanya's appearance, as long as I could spend it with Cliff, I felt incredibly happy.

Cliff's POV

Today is the day of Vanya's entrance exam. In the CEO's office of the Todd Group, I glanced at the time on the computer and asked, "Did Vanya go to the exam this morning?"

"Luna Vanya went early in the morning. She should be in the exam room by now."

I nodded, "Did you tell the principal what I let you?"

"I did, but..."

"But what?"

"But the principal said that Luna Vanya is taking the graduate exam this time, so he thinks there's no need to interfere. Luna Vanya definitely won't pass."

"Graduate student?"

I thought even if Vanya enrolled as a freshman, she might not pass.

'Is Vanya crazy? She's taking the graduate exam.'

"No need to pay attention to her," I said coldly.

'If she wants to embarrass herself, let her.'

Melinda's POV

At this moment, I deliberately wandered in the corridor of the teaching building where the exams were held.

Logically, the freshman admission exams should be in this building, but after checking several exam rooms, I didn't see Vanya.

'Did Vanya back down after all?'

I breathed a sigh of relief. If that was the case, it saved me a lot of trouble.

"Melinda, what are you doing here?"

Raven had just entered the teaching building and saw me wandering on the first floor of the exam room, so she greeted me.

I said, "I'm about to go to class in the second teaching building. Let's go together."

"The second teaching building is also an exam room today. The message said we're having classes in the third teaching building today."

"Is that so?"

I checked my phone, and indeed, the second teaching building was a graduate exam room today.

But the number of graduate students admitted each year is minimal. Currently, in their junior year, only Melinda was preparing for the graduate exam, and she would have to wait until next year to take it.

Raven said, "Let's take a look. I heard this year's questions are tough. You can learn from them."

"That's a good idea."

There's nothing much to attend in today's classes.

"Let's go then!"
