Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 358

Ch. 358 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

"Tabitha," Spike said, sounding pretty bummed out. "It's not that I couldn't win her heart over. It's that her eyes were only on that guy. How could she see anyone else?"

That made sense to me. After all, when I was in love with Derek back then, I ignored everyone else, no matter what they did or said to me. Now, I didn't even remember what those people who confessed their love for me looked like.

"Don't be discouraged. Sooner or later, you'll find your mate."

"Nah, I quit."

"You guys are so stubborn." I rubbed my forehead.

"Tabitha, it looks like it's going to rain soon. Don't go out tonight, in case you slip and fall on the slippery path in the yard."

"I see." I continued with my tea. The babies seemed quite active at the moment, so I planned to take a small walk in the room before I went to sleep.

It poured heavily all night long, accompanied by the sound of thunder. I didn't sleep well the whole night.

The next day, the heavy rain had not stopped yet, so I couldn't go out. I sat by the window and read a book.

"Tabitha, I'm back." Joanna's loud voice echoed before she even entered the door.

She ran over to me with some snacks in her hand and stuffed them into my hands.

"Didn't you tell me that you wanted to eat crepe? I bought it for you."

"It's been a while since I last ate it. I love it so much." I asked while eating, "How's it going with your crush?"

Joanna blushed and said, "Last night, he told me about his feelings. Look, this is the bracelet he gave me. He had it custom-made by someone overseas just for me. It may not be worth much, but it's really thoughtful. It even has my zodiac sign on it. Isn't it adorable?"

Seeing the way Joanna shook her bracelet, I knew she had completely fallen in love.

"You can take that, but just be careful. Remember what I said to you before."

"Don't worry, Tabitha. I understand your point. He knows about my family. I mean, what can I lose to him when I literally have nothing to lose? He genuinely treats me well." Joanna sat beside me and rambled on about all the good things about Austin.

I sighed, as I knew too well that a girl immersed in love could by no chance stay sober.

Joanna spent the whole morning staring at the bracelet with a goofy smile on her face. She even occasionally shook the pendant on the bracelet.

"Stop looking at it. You've been doing that the whole morning."

Joanna showed it off in front of me again. "But it really looks great! Look at the pendant! It is so delicate and vivid."

An Omega, who was sitting on the side, chuckled, "He just won you over with a bracelet? You had no idea what gifts Derek had given to Tabitha back then to win her heart. He was way more generous!"

Joanna got excited as soon as she heard it. "How did Alpha Derek pursue her? I'm really curious. I just can't find any piece of Alpha Derek and Tabitha's love story anywhere."

"Well, he..."

I coughed softly, and the Omega had no choice but to change the topic. "Nothing worth mentioning. I'm going to cook."

Joanna didn't ask more since I obviously didn't wanna talk about it. I wandered around the room, holding my belly while occasionally looking outside. It looked like the rain wouldn't stop very soon.

As I glanced outside, I happened to catch Spike standing alone on the porch and staring blankly at the heavy rain. In the end, his love was unrequited.

It rained heavily for a whole day and night, and the sea was roaring like a monster.

I felt uneasy as I listened to the thunder outside, and it seemed like the two babies could sense my uneasiness too, as they kicked me from time to time.

"Such mischievous little ones. Mommy will have to go to sleep now, whether you wanna sleep or not. Good night, pups." Just as I closed my eyes, another thunderclap echoed from outside.

I immediately opened my eyes and my heart was pounding inexplicably. I had the same feeling before the previous few incidents. I touched my chest and couldn't stop wondering what was happening.

The room was pitch black, with occasional flashes of lightning outside. The bright light would last for a second or two before disappearing.

I turned on the lamp on the bedside table. Looking at my arm, I could see that all the hairs on it stood up.

The sixth sense of werewolves often made their hair stand on end before danger approached.

I dialed Spike's phone number. "Tabitha, what happened?" he asked.

"Is there anything suspicious outside?"

"Tabitha, rest assured. The guards take shifts in the control room twenty-four hours every day. If anything happens, I'll be the first to know."

"Okay, well done." I turned off the light again. I must have been overthinking.

Third person's POV

At the same time, Joanna in the next room was still immersed in love. She was nestled in her bed, texting with Austin.

Austin suddenly sent her a shared location, and Joanna thought that the IP technicians here had made modifications, so even if she clicked on it, her real address would not be exposed.

She wanted to tease Austin, so she clicked on the shared location.

The moment she entered the page, she saw the two avatars were quite close to each other.

Joanna was suddenly startled, wondering, 'What's going on? Is it a technical malfunction?'

Austin's avatar approached her at a fast speed, and Joanna's heart raced as she watched. The two avatars were about to overlap each other.

She wondered, 'There must be something wrong. How could Austin be here?

'He told me not long ago that he'd been home studying materials, so it must be a technical problem.'

As those thoughts crossed her mind, lightning split across the sky. Amidst the roaring thunder, she spotted someone standing out on her balcony!
