~Viola Pov~
“...Accept my rejection mate.” I froze with his finger still on my jaw. My eyes were glistening with tears staring at the stoic face in front of me. He didn’t sound remorseful for what he said. His eyes hardened on me and shifted a bit uncomfortable.
He let go of my chin and gave me hateful stares and he kept the distance between us. Lana growled in fright and withdrew from me.
She was scared of him.
Our mate.
“Why?” I croaked a stifling pain flooded through my chest.
He stared at me but said nothing. I waited for a reply. But he only stared like I was a fool not to know the oblivious.
I knew I lied about who I was, was that enough reason to reject me? I wasn’t Viola Adams but Grahams was my father and he was an Alpha.
If I had told him the truth that I was of royal blood would it be any difference probably he might not have believed me.
He was my only hope.
He was the one I was waiting for all those years, that he would find me or I would find him, and the reason I decided to live.
And now!
I should accept his rejections.
“You’re unfit to be my Queen.” He blurts out with disgust in his voice.
My chest hurts, and as if couldn’t breathe it was just as if I was trapped in that room with the flames in it.
“I would not!” He made emphasis the ‘Not’ “...be mated to a wolf. A weak omega. Consider yourself nothing and lived as you are.” Every word was menacing. He took a step closer. Lana cowered with each step.
“The king’s slave it’s a benefiting title for you.” He smirked and looked over at the rags on my body, he scrunched his nose and, strode away with his terrifying aura.
I fell to my knees with a hand over my chest. I squeezed them and for the first time, I cried.
“I will not accept your rejection!” I yelled at the top of my voice and my voice make him stop in his track he twirled around and stared at me with creasing brows. I held his gaze for a brief moment watching him come to me.
I was panting, my chest was resonating and my body trembled.
I blinked my eyes, I don’t want him to see me cry.
He began to walk back to me, his eyes demanding and threatening, and had switched from the blue eyes I knew but was darkened with disgust and hatred.
“You’re ready to face the pain ain’t you?” He brought his face closer to me, I shook my head disapproving with him and the tears spilled out when I did it.
“What are you expecting?” A teasing smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
“I wasn’t expecting anything.” I lied and couldn’t meet up with his gaze anymore, I dropped my head.
“You have got a nerve little wolf,” he was staring down at me, I could feel his eyes roaming over my body. He squats and stared at me.
“Do not let me tear you apart with my claws.” He growled in my face. I gulped down the invisible lump in my throat and fell on my butt.
“Take her away and lock her up!” He sneered and turned to leave, and he didn’t look back this time.
I fell to my knees with a hand over my chest. I squeezed them and for the first time, I cried.
“Ah!” My fists hit my chest, and the tears streamed off my face. I was beaten, cussed, yelled at, humiliated, and abused and now I cried for all of that, that I went through. I didn’t let a tear drop when I was being beaten.
But now I brawled like I was gonna die!
My face was soaked and sticky with my tears but I cared less.
He rejected me, I thought he would be different, I thought when I find him. I would be taken into his bosom and kiss his forehead and tells me ‘It’s gonna be okay
Isn’t that what he should have done, what happened to him being happy that he found me, that I was here to make him complete?
He was my soulmate.
I was wrong, I was mated to a man that hate me, he wasn’t just a man, his presence was fearsome, a dangerous Lycan King.
My eyes were shut and the tears keep falling off. Even when I was pulled up from the ground, I had no idea who took me but continued crying too as I was being dragged away oblivious to my surroundings.
Now, there was no need to live, my mate didn’t want me, if I was still the princess of my pack, I won’t have been hated this much. My life would have been different. If all of these never happened.
But not, I felt like giving up on everything, I was sick and tired.
“We got rejected, we just found him.” Lana’s voice was a low whisper.
“And he hates us.” Lana was growling painfully at our mate's rejection.
“Yes.” I broke into tears again after replying to her.
“I thought we would be treated differently. But it seems, we are never gonna get the love we both seek from our mate.”
She withdrew from me and hid deeper in my mind, somewhere I could reach out to her.
I was thrown into a dark room. I fell on my stomach and remained there, without moving an inch and my face buried into the ground.
I dealt with Cranon’s betrayal because I thought my mate was gonna be my hero.
I never knew life had other plans for me. Now I understand why, Cranon was happy to see me off his pack to a man that completely lack warmth.
I just want to disappear or sink into the ground where nobody else would find me.
