A Slave For The Lycan King

Not fated

Ch. 12 / 35 Jan 13, 2026

~Damien Pov~

“Damien...I’m right here.” The high pitch voice sounded elated and was smiling brightly.

“Damien!” The voice had become distant with terror and hurt and unbearable pains and writhing in agony.

“Damien!” Covered in blood the voice cried out as if stabbed forcefully with a blunt knife, it was shrilling.

“Damien...!” Until he heard the voice no more and faintly but stuck in his head, he was lost in the woods running in search of the voice but was covered with nothing but emptiness.

“No!”

“No! No!” I jerked up from the couch, drenched in perspiration, my chest was racing, and I wrapped my hands around myself.

“It’s just a dream, Damien,” I said out loud.

“Just another dream.” I breathed out and turned on the light taking in several deep breaths.

I felt tears at the side of my eyes and wiped them off it must have come up when I lay down.

I was having a pounding headache. I didn’t know when I slept off on the couch, I remembered I was working on a project and maybe that was when I slept off.

I remained seated on the couch and stared into space.

“Here’s your coffee,” Lucas dropped a mug on the table.

“It’s warm.” I held it with both hands.

“Just how you liked it.” He took an empty seat and sat down beside me.

“You saw her again?” Lucas leaned forward staring at me.

“I do not want to talk about it.” I took a sip from the coffee and kept them back at the table.

“Close down the harem and do not let anyone into that place.” I went wild for a few years, had a lot of women in the harem, and when I couldn’t get the satisfaction I wanted.

I killed them.

I was bloodlust for years, going after rogues, the wolves, and anyone who dares to talk back at me and it all happened after I lost Jolene, she was pregnant with my pups, my little sister Mira and the family I dreamed of having.

About a decade ago, there was a fierce war that broke out between the werewolves and Lycans, it rendered most Lycans destroyed and battered and tattered by the werewolves and that battle was led by a powerful Alpha King.

They feared our existence and wanted to rip us out and become the only superior being in the supernatural world.

They wanted to become the only wolf.

I gathered up most of the Lycans that survived the war, and together we began to grow as an empire and Lucas had been with me even before that time.

Roland was among the survivors, that was one of the reasons we hated the werewolves.

I don’t know why I had appeared in the woods in the dream where the battle had taken place years ago.

Was there something that I should know?

“Damien, down to earth!” Lucas snapped his fingers in front of me.

I blink at once, I must have been lost in thoughts.

“What was it, you seem bothered. I can be of any help.” His voice quaked lightly.

“It isn’t something you can help me with Lucas, you should be worried about yourself, Lucas.” I faced him with a teasing grin.

“Why should I worry Damien?” He was pretending not to know what I was talking about.

“You’ll die soon, you haven’t found your mate yet and you’re not as strong as you used to be, wolves tend to be short-lived without their mates,” I added studying his facial expression.

“Oh, Damien do not remember me.” He fakes a cry and throws his head on my legs. I chuckled and pushed him away.

“You’re crazy, Lucas.” I chugged down the remaining coffee and dropped the empty mug.

“Do you need anything?” Lucas asked.

“Nothing,” I answered him staring at the papers I was working on last night.

“Any report from the borders?” I requested with a slight frown. I remember the rogues and Dugan is restless about it.

“There’s nothing yet.”

“Get to work,” I waved him off dismissively.

“One more thing, I’ve taken her out of the dungeon and assigned her as a servant to your house. In case you need anything, she’ll be right here.” Lucas smirked and tuck his hands into his pocket after he stood up from the seat.

“I had a talk with Roland, and he’s back to work and keeping the borders safe and tightening the securities. The ladies, still missing, and nothing on that yet.” He looked ahead of me as if in thought.

“...and lastly the head servant would like to know what you want for breakfast? You haven’t been eating.” He took the empty mug. “Viola would bring them to you.”

“I need a bath...” I pursed my lips and taps my slender fingers on the table.

“What about some food?” He raised a brow.

“I’ve no appetite.”

“Viola would bring some, I already thought the head servant to tell the cook what to prepare for you. Thought you didn’t need anything.” Lucas mimicked my voice when I said I wanted nothing.

“Ho-ho.” I glared at him and wagged a finger.

“You’ve been doing everything, Lucas, without me giving you orders, don’t you think you want the crown as well, you want to share the seat, King A and King B.”

Lucas is laughing, unable to contain them.

“I’m following your lead, King Damien, just the way you would’ve done it and I’ll be the one serving you, King Damien. I’ll bring your breakfast and prepare a bath.”

“Get out!” I point towards the door.

“Fine!” Lucas threw his hands in the hair in surrender.

“I’ll send her.” He laughed and walked out of the room.

Lucas is such a headache, he would have a smile on his face even with a million daggers pierced in his heart, though he was dying in pain.

He would never show you his pains or say a word about it. He keep them all to himself, that was the kind of person he was.

If Viola wants to be safe and live freely in the pack then she has to reject me as her mate because we can not be together.
