A Slave For The Lycan King

That voice

Ch. 13 / 35 Jan 13, 2026

~Viola~

It’s been a long time, I smiled genuinely and I was smiling at the thought of my father, the memories we had together, sitting outside our balcony late at night.

Cranon did not let me out, I was always locked in, working late in the house, and doing chores that never ends, I had forgotten how bright the sky was at night, and how the moon shimmered.

There was hope, maybe the moon goddess would hear my prayers this time.

I was taken back to the dungeon and Damien left, I sat down on the empty spot with my legs up to my chest.

The sun was up, and the rays were peeping through the small openings.

I hope Lucas finds her, I wished Mom was alive since her body was never found over the years. I had to hope on it, that she would be somewhere safe.

“...not as beautiful as you.” I felt my cheeks heat up, I don’t know if he said that to me or if I was hallucinating but I heard those words and my ear rings when I did.

“Don’t go giddy yet” Lana snorts.

“You’re awake now, ms wolf?”

“I needed some rest.”

I rolled my eyes at her strident voice.

“I warned you, you would get our heart broken.” I scoffed at her.

“If it gets broken, we try again Lana, as long as we don’t give up on our mate.” I can’t give up on him yet. I have to make him fall in love with me, I don’t know how I’m going to do that when he hardly let me get close to him.

“Who knows, Damien might get to love me.”

“Keep dreaming.” She huffed.

“Lana!” I yelled at her.

Someone was coming, I heard their distant voices and footsteps and they stopped in front of the place I was locked in.

“You’re the girl?” The voice was silvery and I remembered the voice, the lady that was gonna be Queen. Her skin was flawless and smooth. Her hazel eyes and frizzy hair, long lashes, and a narrow face.

I didn’t have a good look at her in Damien’s house but now I do and she was beautiful.

“Damien’s slave?” She asked with a tight-lipped smile.

“Yes.” I pursed my lips in reply to her.

What does she want?

She stared at me shrewdly, as if she wanted to pick out my deepest secrets.

“Is there anything...”

“Save it.” She snapped with her brows lowered at me.

“What a bitch!” Lana growled.

“You’re an omega?”

Ain’t we all wolves, why are the Lycan acting so superior over us, we have strong and powerful Alphas like my father but the Lycan choose to place themselves as the most powerful and call us names.

I knew nothing about them before I got here.

When did we have to prove ourselves that we were as strong as them?

“Yes.”

“A slave brought by Cranon to the king, why would Cranon do something like that?” She crinkled her nose in disgust.

“...I’m giving you as a gift puppy, you ain’t gonna be sold. You’ll be a gift to the new crown king, as a show of my alliance.” I replayed the word just as Cranon had said to me to her annoyance.

She scoffed and shakes a finger at me like a club.

“Then behave as a slave, you rag! You’re such a lowly omega! Do not look me in the eye. When I become Queen I’ll have your tongue cut off.”

My fists clenched at my side tightly, holding my dress. I took my gaze off from her face, I didn’t want to annoy her.

“She’s not even Queen yet,” Lana said in a taut voice, I know she was angry. But this was something we cannot do anything about.

“He’s engaged to her, Lana. He might make her his Queen.” I let out an exasperated sigh.

“And you’re gonna let that happen? What about ‘not giving up speech’” Lana chides me.

“Oh please.” I rolled my eyes at her.

“...or I should have your eyes plucked off first, I hate that I find you disturbing! You’re below me!” She seems irritated.

“I’ll have Damien take you back to wherever you came from.” She murmured and turned away from the iron bars.

She finds me disturbing?

If she wants out, I’m Damien’s mate she could throw me out of the pack or do worst.

I was sitting on the hard ground for a long time and my butt was starting to hurt and my stomach was growling, I was hungry as a wolf as I am.

I doubts if I was going to have any food today, what I had left was the small leftovers breadsticks Roland gave me yesterday.

I wrapped my hands over it, as if to pacify it and stopped it from growling.

I leaned close to the wall, I don’t know how long I would be locked in here, I was already tired.

“Always alone...” Lana spoke softly.

“Soon we won’t be.”

“I never knew you were so optimistic.”

“It’s a trait.” I could her heckling laugh.

“Just go away, Lana.”

I needed a good mindset to keep up being negative would only make it worse.

I know I wasn’t good enough, I know but I’m trying.

“Sorry.” She purrs.

I exhaled, staring at the small opening if I could catch a glimpse of the moon this night.

My hands clasped over my shoulders, touching the scars of the fire burn. It was covered up in a worn-out gown I wore. Which was given to me by Roland.

I haven’t seen him since Damien asked the guards to take him out, I hope Damien doesn’t get to hurt him.

I heard a howl across the dungeon and I popped up on my feet. I wished I could see the moon right now.

The howl came again, and it sounded so close to me.

Damien?
