Camella waited the entire day and there were no traces of Andre in the company. She cannot get even with him because he's a partner with the Wood's Electroworld and calling him, she felt unwilling.
She held her phone, yet to decide whether to call or not, when her phone chirped. Her eyes brightened up, hoping it was Andre but disappointment washed down into her when she saw it's her dad.
She doesn't want to answer her phone but remembering that if she was going to get back to normal relationship with Andre, she must accept to forgive her father.
Reluctantly,she answered her phone…
On her way, she summoned courage and called Andre but he didn't answer his phone. She tried further and it's the same thing. Feeling frustrated, she thought of doing something really unexpected the next morning.
It's the weekend. Andre might be at the gym. She isn't going to the gym, but she must ensure she sees him the next day. The longer she keeps this misunderstanding, the more the gap gets wider between them.
When she got home, her dad was waiting at the door. He missed her and as soon as she alighted from her car, he pulled her into a long hard hug. He'd failed her, he didn't realise it until she said those words back then.
“I'm sorry Camella. Dad sincerely apologises for being unfair towards you. Can you forgive me please?” Benson Wood pleaded.
“It's fine dad. Andre had persuaded me on your behalf to let go” Camella stated. He didn't try to explain himself but pleaded that she returns home to her dad. If it were someone else, he would clear the differences between them before talking about her dad but not Andre Torello.
“Andre did?” Benson chimed.
A broad smile spread across his face. No wonder, Camella answered her phone and agreed to come back home willingly. It was all Torello’s doing. Now, he agrees with Camella, he is ready to support their relationship.
“He did, dad” Camella said, now holding hands with her dad before adding “He didn't force his way to explain anything to me, only pleaded to forget whatever I felt you did to me. According to him, you only love and seek the best for me” she added.
Benson was happy. Shouldn't such a boy end up being his son in-law instead?
That night, Benson went to Camella's room and she was surprised. Shouldn't dad just send for her to come instead? She exchanged glances with Sara, her nanny and the latter stood up, ready to excuse herself.
“Don't go, Sara. For many years you've been a loyal nanny to Camella, even before her mother died. Besides myself, I don't think of anyone who loves Camella more than you. So stay and listen to what I have to say” Benson Wood chimed, feeling really excited.
He turned and glanced at Camella “I just want to tell you that I am excited about your feelings for Andre. The young man had proven himself worthy of an heiress like you. Why don't you invite him over to share coffee with me tomorrow..” Benson Wood suggested.
Camella's eyes welled up with tears. She couldn't reply to her dad. Now, he sees through her. For the first time ever, dad supported her. And of course that comes after pulling tantrums. But in the end he accepted the man she loves.
“I'm sorry not to have believed you back then. I sincerely apologise for not supporting your heart and the one it has feelings for. But no more, I'm not ever going to deny you whatever makes you happy” Benson assured.
Camella couldn't say anything but just hugged her dad. The first time he was making her feel this way. This is more than just an acceptance to her, it is giving her life back to her. Making her live her life instead of his.
“Thanks dad, thank you so much for accepting Andre Torello as my boyfriend” Camella appreciated. This is good news. She had received such good news in a long time. Her spirit felt lifted.
“Anything for you dear” Benson assured before adding “Once he agrees to dating you, give him all the happiness in the world that he deserves, dear”
Andre deserves to be happy. He'd suffered a heartbreak in the past, Camella should shower him with so much love that he would never remember the betrayal of the past.
“Yes dad, I'll try my best,” Camella assured.
When Benson Wood left, Camella sank into the sofa, placing her head on Sara's thighs. She doesn't know that her dad could compromise so easily. This is amazing. That means he'd seen through her tears and made a change of heart.
“Congratulations dear. Didn't I tell you everything will eventually fall into place? I was saying it before your dad stepped in. See, he is inviting him over for a drink” she chimed.
“Thank you nanny. I'm so happy. All I need to do now is to tell him how deeply I am in love with him” she chimed.
Andre is going to be hers.
“Yes, and make it happen soon, dear” Sara persuaded.
Before sleeping, Andre decided to return the calls of those he missed during the day. He'd just filter his calls and only answer official calls. As he scrolled through, he saw Camella had called him.
He called her back and she almost immediately answered her phone “Andre…” she called and trailed off. Her eyes went moist. She doesn't know what to say but she sincerely wants to apologise to him.
“How are you doing today, Camella?” he asked, sighing softly. He hopes one day, she will get to understand that it's wrong to judge people before listening to them. Camella needs to learn this fact.
“I'm not fine, I missed you” She replied.
There was a long silence that followed. He'd heard such words a lot in the past. But for a few months now, he'd not heard anyone say those words to him.
“Andre, I really missed you. I can't help the obsession anymore. I'm also sincerely sorry about the misunderstanding…” she was saying when Andre interrupted her.
“Let's see and talk tomorrow, Cam”
