Trapped by Him

Chapter 164

Ch. 162 / 398 Feb 22, 2026

"Derrick, you said that I lied to you and that I hid my past from you," Gloria said in a hoarse voice. "I will say it one last time. I never had the intention of hurting Gabrielle, and I swear I didn't ask any rogue to set her up. Her death was self-inflicted. It wasn't my fault."

Gloria continued, "Believe it or not, that's the truth, and I don't owe you now."

After Gloria finished speaking, she stretched out her hand and pushed Derrick away.

However, the only thing Derrick now cared about was that Gloria turned him down. Her words meant nothing to him right now, and he failed to interpret the truth behind Gloria's words.

He thought, 'She turned me down. She is OK with Patrick touching her, yet she hates me so much!'

"Don't think you can get away by simply saying that. There is no such thing in the world! Patrick can have you. Why can't I?" Derrick kissed Gloria underneath him madly.

"Derrick! Let go!" Gloria refused.

"You wish!" Derrick didn't want to stop.

Derrick's kiss was rude and forceful, so Gloria had no choice but to keep dodging him.

Derrick grabbed Gloria's hands and forcibly placed them over her head, so she couldn't move. He pressed on her body and looked at her from above.

"How much did Patrick pay you? I'll double it!" Derrick's eyes were deep.

"Derrick, don't make me hate you." Gloria glared at him.

At the sight of Gloria's determined eyes, Derrick felt a severe heartache. Suddenly, he felt he couldn't go on.

Gloria took the chance to escape when he was in a trance. She pushed him away with all her strength and then stumbled out.

Gloria came out of the café, still panicking. Ignoring the pain in her back and legs, she strode forward.

She then walked around the corner and bumped into someone. Before she could say anything, the man's big hands grasped her waist. In the next second, she smelled the familiar grass scent on him.

Gloria looked up and saw that it was Patrick.

She subconsciously pursed her lips.

Patrick held her waist tightly and looked at her face with his hawk-like eyes.

Suddenly, he reached up and took hold of her chin, rubbing his thumb against her rosy lips for a long time, harder and harder.

Then Patrick raised his eyes and looked at Derrick, who was not far from him. His entire body exuded the Alpha's aura.

"You did this?" Patrick's voice was icy cold.

Derrick also released the Alpha's aura. He looked at Patrick, raised his chin provocatively, and said, "Yeah. So what?"

Patrick glanced at Derrick coldly, revealing a disdainful smile on his stern face.

Gloria felt that she was pushed away by a gentle force. By the time she looked up, Patrick had already rushed towards Derrick.

"You'll have the answer right now!" Patrick dashed toward Derrick as he roared.

Derrick did not retreat. Instead, he caught Patrick's fist directly. He had suffered many setbacks from Gloria back in the café, and now that he saw Patrick, all he wanted to do was to beat Patrick up.

Since they were in a public place, both Patrick and Derrick were cautious, and neither of them shifted, but their strong bodies kept bumping into each other.

Derrick, who had taken a few steps back to regain his footing after being hit by Patrick, had a sullen look on his face.

The Black Thorn Pack was the most powerful among the packs in the area, and of course, Patrick, their Alpha, was the toughest.

Derrick rubbed his aching arm. He was furious and sneered, "You can beat me. Anyway, I already kissed Gloria."

He then looked at Gloria, not far from him, and a hint of coldness and cruelness flashed across his eyes. He continued, "In fact, I didn't just kiss her. I touched her all over her body. I just did it again with her in the room. Patrick, I slept with your woman. So, even though you beat me up, I'm still not the one who suffers losses here."

Gloria's face went ghastly pale, and her fists that were hanging by her sides kept shaking while Derrick blurted out those lies.

Gloria was breathing rapidly, and her face was grey and bloodless. She didn't get it. Why did Derrick frame her?

Derrick raised his eyebrows at Patrick provocatively. He felt indescribable joy as he watched Patrick's eyes go cold.

Derrick grinned and thought, 'Patrick. If I can't have her, I'll make sure you end up the same!'

Out of the corner of his eye, Derrick saw Gloria. Her eyes were filled with disappointment. Suppressing the pain from deep down, he sneered, "Why are you looking at me like that? You're a call girl from Fittro Club. Can't a customer have some fun with you? Do you think I, the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, will be interested in you, a rogue that no packs want? You're so cheap. I don't even have to pay you to sleep with you."

Patrick punched the wall angrily and said to Derrick with murderous intent, "Who the fuck do you think you are, Derrick? Go take a look at yourself! Gloria is my mate. You can't fool me with these lies! You'll never have a chance with her in your life!"

"Patrick, just because you own the Black Thorn Pack doesn't make you invincible. She is your mate, isn't she? So, why don't you mark her? Why would you let your mate be a call girl? I can sleep with her as long as I pay! Shouldn't you know that better than anyone? What makes you say I'll never have a chance with her in my life?" said Derrick grudgingly.

Patrick hit the nail on the head. Derrick was the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, and women always took the initiative to come to him. Yet this time, the most intimate thing he did with the woman he pursued was nothing but kissing.

The more Derrick thought about it, the angrier he became. He roared at Patrick furiously, "She's just a whore that people pay to sleep with!"

Gloria felt that all the blood in her body had stopped flowing. She froze there and leaned against the wall, so she wouldn't collapse.

She wasn't attracted to Derrick. Yet he had led her through difficult times, and his words had made her feel warm.

However, after he heard about Gloria's past, he was convinced that she was a murderer. Just because she had been in a werewolf prison once, he withdrew his kindness towards her.

He, like the others, had become her darkness.

Gloria held the wall as she staggered forward. Step by step, she walked in front of Derrick.

Her pale face tore Derrick apart, and he was overwhelmed by the indescribable pain.

Patrick clenched his fists hard. He didn't want Gloria to have any contact with any man, and all he wanted was to hold her in his arms. Yet he knew he couldn't. She had to grow independently.

Gloria raised her head and looked at Derrick, saying, "Derrick, I've never regretted meeting you. You used to be the light in my gloomy life. You're not supposed to be like this. If you think of me as a vicious and cheap woman, please don't ruin yourself because of me. I will always remember the best of you."

Gloria's eyes sparkled, and for a moment, Derrick felt unworthy of her praise.
