The Lost Luna Princess

Chapter 15

Ch. 15 / 81 Mar 28, 2026

Waynes POV

After contacting Elder Tom, I knew what needed to be done. Jason had sent me out to keep an eye on the surrounding area in case anyone picked up on our trail; I used this as my chance to sneak away. Shifting into Rex, we took off. We made sure to stick to the woods as we made our way to the Moonlight Pack because we had taken Angel into a heavily human-populated area. Although I was in a rush, we didn't need knowledge of our existence to get out.

Rex was one of the fastest wolves in the Royal Pack, hence why I was a head tracker. I always got the job done and quickly. As I neared the site where we had left the van, I sat and watched for an opportunity to get past Nick and the other wolves, when all of a sudden, everything went black as I hit the ground.

As I came back around, I felt the stinging of silver on my wrists. I looked around, realising I was in a cell chained to a metal chair. It was dark here as there were no windows, only the dim light from the bulb in the corridor. The unpleasant smells of piss and blood combined overloaded my senses, making my stomach churn. It was clear I was in a dungeon and not a maintained one. I tried tapping into my wolf's sight but couldn't reach him; the silver prevented that. All of a sudden, I heard a voice that I hadn't heard in over sixteen years.

"Why are you helping him, Wayne?"

"Hello, Nick, it's been a while, my goddess; you've gotten old, but I see the years have been kind to you."

"I wish I could say the same for you. Why are you helping an animal like Jason?"

"I swear to you, Nick, I didn't know what he would do to the Princess. He told us all that it was a simple case of power transfer; it wasn't until the elder arrived that we knew something was wrong."

"What, elder? Where are they keeping her? You know she's running out of time!"

"I can tell you where they were but not where they are. My orders were to ensure we weren't followed, and then he would mind-link me with the new location. I tell you, Nick, he's paranoid. He's keeping her weak by regularly injecting her with liquid silver. I know he's going to force Angel to mate with him. He said that it needs to happen for him to obtain the alpha power."

"He won't get the fucking chance. She is my mate; he will not take her from me." Jake roared as he came before my cell.

"Alpha Jake." Bowing my head as a sign of respect.

"I ask for your forgiveness; I can swear I did not know the details of what he planned to do. The details of the ceremony are never trusted to anyone unranked. I have contacted Elder Tom; he will investigate his end to find the elder helping Jason. He also told me to come here and aid in the Princess's return; he knows she is fated to you, Alpha Jake. I returned to the van so I could bring you straight to them, but now they will have moved, and I'm afraid he will have noticed my absence."

"Nick, you know this wolf; how likely is he to be lying" Jake pulled Nick aside, whispering.

"Back when I knew him, he was always one to speak the truth, but sixteen years is enough time for anyone to change."

Alpha Jake just stood there and rubbed his face; he looked conflicted. He began to walk away before stopping in his tracks; his eyes glazed over, clearly communicating through the mind link. Suddenly his face just dropped, and he looked as if he was in pain.

He turned to Nick and said, "I know where she is."

Angels POV

I had been chained up for a few hours, but with the sun almost high in the sky meant it couldn't have been any later than noon. I felt so dizzy were they kept injecting me with something, and whatever it was knocked me out. Jason seemed pissed; I overheard him say that I should be unconscious for at least two hours after one dose. He clearly didn't make it up right as I seemed to wake after twenty minutes each time.

Just as I began to wake again, I heard footsteps come from behind me, and a sharp jab again in my neck sent me back into darkness. Within minutes the darkness had faded and was replaced by a large green field overlooking a lake. Sitting on the bench at the edge of the field was a woman. If I had to guess, the woman looked to be in her early forties. She had long, straight blonde hair with a couple of white streaks. She had a flawless complexion with big green eyes.

"Hello, Angel, my dear. Do you know who I am?" Her calm voice made all the fear I held within me disappear.

"Hi.... No, I'm afraid I do not know you; how do you know my name?"

"My name is Selena, but you can call me a grandmother." She smiled at me. Her smile looked kind but also familiar though I couldn't place it.

"Oh, my goddess y... you're the Moon Goddess. How am I here right now? Please tell me I haven't died." My voice shook, showing how scared and anxious I felt awaiting her response.

"No, my dear girl, you are very much alive. I need you to know that Jake can save you, but you must help him help you."

"How? We haven't mated, so I can't mind link him. Not to mention I've got silver cuffs on me. I can't access my wolf." My eyes began to burn as I tried to hold back the tears that threatened to fall.

"Angel, you are an extraordinary girl. Your wolf is also special. Together you and Star can accomplish so much. You have my blood running through your veins, and with that comes great power. All you need to do is tap into it."

"Please help me. I don't know what to do. I want to go home, please!" At this point, tears were now falling down my face.

"My darling granddaughter, I mated you to Jake for a reason. He is of a rare bloodline. If you truly try to reach out to him regardless of the silver you currently wear, he can hear you. You have the gifts your mother passed down to you at birth. You need to access them." She gave my hand a tight squeeze with a smile that made me relax again.

"Remember, I will always be with you; you are never alone, no matter how dark the hour."

As she disappeared, I began to open my eyes, remembering what she had told me. I focused every ounce of strength I could muster to picture Jake's face: his handsome face, his beautiful blue eyes and dark hair. I focused as hard as possible, finally sensing and calling out to him.

"JAKE, JAKE, PLEASE HEAR ME!"

"Angel, is that you?"

"Oh my goddess, please help me. I'm in a hotel room. I think I heard someone mention Crescent City... Please find me." With that, my surroundings faded away, leaving me again in the dark.
