The Chosen Luna: Alpha’s Unwanted Daughter

Chapter 646

Ch. 636 / 790 May 05, 2026

The peace that Bella and Kael had just begun to rebuild was short-lived. The lingering shadows of Esmera’s manipulations hung over them, unnoticed until it was too late. Esmera had been biding her time, waiting for the right moment to strike again. And now, with the packs on the verge of an alliance that could strengthen both Crescent Howl and Crimson Fang, she couldn’t afford to let that happen.

Her plan was both simple and devastating—frame Bella for sabotaging a key Crimson Fang supply run, the one that had been planned to solidify the alliance between the packs. It was a bold move, one that relied on subtlety and precision. A few well-placed pieces of evidence, some carefully timed sabotage, and the packs would be divided once more.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the news broke. The Crimson Fang supply run—intended to supply both packs with much-needed resources for the upcoming war—had been attacked. The supplies were destroyed, and the pack members in charge of guarding the route reported seeing Bella’s distinctive tracks near the scene.

The shock of the accusation hit like a thunderclap. Bella had always been loyal to the pack, to Kael, and to the alliance they were building with Crimson Fang. But now, suspicion cast its dark shadow over her every move. The tension in the air was thick as the pack gathered, whispers circulating faster than the truth could be spoken.

Kael was the first to confront her, his face hard with frustration, though his eyes were filled with concern. “Bella, what happened? Why would you—” He stopped, the words sticking in his throat, as the weight of the situation settled around him. He couldn’t bring himself to believe the accusations, not truly, but the evidence was overwhelming. Her tracks at the scene, a few scattered items that had her scent—there was no denying it. Or so it seemed.

“I didn’t do this,” Bella protested, her voice shaking with anger and disbelief. “You have to know I would never betray you.”

Kael’s gaze softened, but the doubt had already taken root. He turned away, his jaw clenched as he struggled with the enormity of the accusation. “I don’t know what to believe anymore, Bella,” he muttered, his tone barely above a whisper. “The elders—”

Before he could finish, Keryth stormed into the room, his face a storm of fury. “Enough, Kael. The evidence is clear. The supply run was sabotaged, and Bella’s tracks were found at the scene. She’s been lying to us, and I will not stand for it.”

Kael opened his mouth to argue, but Keryth silenced him with a sharp gesture. “This is bigger than personal feelings, Kael. We can’t afford to let the pack fall apart because of your… loyalty to her. I’m calling for a formal investigation.”

Tension crackled in the room as the pack members exchanged uneasy glances. Bella stood frozen, her heart pounding in her chest. She had no idea how Esmera had orchestrated this or what had happened during the supply run, but one thing was certain—she was being framed.

As the elders convened, Bella was placed under house arrest, her movements restricted as the investigation unfolded. She was no longer trusted, no longer the ally she had once been. Instead, she was a suspect, isolated from the pack she had fought so hard to protect.

Kael, torn between his duty to the pack and his love for Bella, found himself trapped in a world of confusion. He couldn’t fathom that she could have done this. But the evidence was undeniable. And the more time he spent trying to unravel the truth, the further Bella seemed to pull away from him.

Their bond, already strained from the earlier tensions, was now teetering on the edge of destruction. Kael didn’t know how much more of this he could take. Every moment he spent in the pack’s halls, listening to the murmurs and accusations, drove a wedge further between them.

As night fell over the camp, Bella lay in her quarters, the weight of the world pressing down on her. The walls felt suffocating, closing in as she tried to make sense of everything. She had been framed—there was no other explanation. But who could have done this to her? Who could have twisted the truth so thoroughly?

A knock at the door interrupted her thoughts. She barely had time to react before the door creaked open. Lira entered quietly, her expression grave.

“We need to talk,” Lira said, her voice low. “Esmera’s at it again.”

Bella nodded, her frustration rising. “I know. I can feel it. But I don’t know how to stop her.”

Lira’s eyes softened with sympathy. “You don’t have to stop her alone. We’ll help you. Misery is already working on gathering the evidence to clear your name, but it’s going to take time. You just have to hold on.”

But before Bella could respond, the door to her quarters opened once again. This time, it was Keryth, and his eyes were cold as he approached her. He had no patience for explanations, no interest in hearing the truth. To him, she was already guilty.

“You’re not going anywhere until this is resolved,” Keryth said flatly, his tone full of authority. “The elders have decided. Stay put.”

With that, he left without another word, leaving Bella feeling more isolated than ever. She wanted to scream, to tear down the walls that had been built around her. But she didn’t. Instead, she clenched her fists and took a deep breath. She wasn’t going to give up. She couldn’t.

Meanwhile, Esmera stood outside the shadows of the pack’s compound, watching everything unfold with a twisted satisfaction. She had planted the seeds of doubt, and now she was watching them grow.

As she approached Keryth in the darkness, her voice was barely a whisper, yet it carried a chilling certainty.

“The girl is a danger to us all,” Esmera said, her words laced with venom. “You’ll see soon enough.”
