The Chosen Luna: Alpha’s Unwanted Daughter

Captured by Darkness

Ch. 456 / 790 May 05, 2026

The air was thick with the oppressive presence of the Shadowbound, their glowing eyes flickering like embers as they moved with a deadly precision. Eryon, Misery, and Adrian fought with every ounce of strength they had, but the creatures seemed endless, their twisted forms reforming as fast as they were struck down.

Adrian launched himself at one, his fists striking with a vampire’s speed and ferocity. The creature faltered for a moment before a tendril of shadow coiled around his leg, yanking him off balance. He crashed to the ground with a snarl, lashing out with his claws to sever the tendril. “These things don’t quit,” he growled, pushing himself upright.

Misery danced around another, her movements a deadly blend of precision and grace. Her blade struck true, slicing through the creature’s core, but it dissolved and reformed behind her. A dark tendril struck her side, knocking her blade from her grip. She fell hard, gasping as the breath was driven from her lungs.

“Get up!” Eryon roared, his claws slashing through a Shadowbound’s neck. He turned to see another lunging at Misery, and with a feral growl, he barreled into it, sending them both crashing to the ground.

The battle raged on, but the Shadowbound were relentless, their numbers overwhelming. Slowly, the trio was forced back, their movements growing sluggish under the weight of exhaustion and the creeping dark chains that seemed to slither out of the air itself. Eryon fought desperately, his amber eyes blazing, but even he couldn’t hold them off forever.

Adrian’s fangs bared as the chains wrapped around his arms and legs, binding him in place. “I’d rather die than go with you,” he spat, his voice a venomous growl.

From the shadows, a chilling voice responded, its tone smooth and dripping with malice. “That can be arranged.”

Eryon froze as the voice reached him, cold and familiar, sending a shiver down his spine. He struggled against the chains, his wolf instincts screaming at him to fight harder. But it was too late. The Shadowbound tightened their hold, dragging their captives into the suffocating darkness.

The world around them shifted, the oppressive blackness giving way to a massive, foreboding throne room. The air was heavy with the stench of death and power, the walls adorned with jagged black stone that seemed to pulsate faintly, as if alive. They were dropped unceremoniously to the floor, the cold, hard surface jolting them from their daze.

The Vampire King sat on his throne, his presence dominating the room like a storm cloud. His crimson eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he leaned forward, his dark armor gleaming like obsidian in the dim light. “Welcome back,” he said, his voice smooth and taunting. “You’ve made quite the mess of things, haven’t you?”
