The Chosen Luna: Alpha’s Unwanted Daughter

The King’s Proposal

Ch. 475 / 790 May 05, 2026

The Vampire King’s grand hall was a cavern of malevolence, its dark marble walls veined with crimson streaks, as though the castle itself bled with malice. The oppressive air seemed to press against Adrian and Misery as they stood before the throne. The King’s crimson eyes bore into them, his predatory smirk amplifying the suffocating tension.

He rose from his throne, his dark robes flowing like liquid shadow. “You two are to be married,” he declared, his voice echoing with authority and menace.

Misery’s breath hitched, her hands trembling as she cast a glance at Adrian. “You can’t be serious,” she whispered, her voice barely audible above the weight of the King’s decree.

The King’s smile widened, his fangs glinting in the dim torchlight. “I never jest, Misery. This union will solidify my dynasty. A King and a Queen to lead the next generation into an era of supremacy.”

Adrian’s fists clenched at his sides, his jaw tight as he fought to keep his composure. His voice, low and simmering with defiance, broke the silence. “The child Misery carries is not yours to control.”

The King’s expression darkened, the temperature in the room seeming to drop several degrees. He stepped closer, his presence towering and suffocating. “The child belongs to me as much as it belongs to you,” he hissed, his voice cold and unyielding. “Its power is unparalleled, and I will ensure it is used properly.”

Misery’s hand instinctively went to her swollen belly, her face a mixture of fear and fury. “You won’t take my child,” she said, her voice trembling but firm.

The King laughed, a cruel, chilling sound that reverberated through the chamber. “Oh, Misery. Such fire. Such defiance. But you forget your place. Both of you do.” His gaze flicked to Adrian, his eyes narrowing. “Would you prefer I destroy the ones you love instead? That can be arranged.”

Adrian took a step forward, his crimson eyes blazing with fury. “You’ll have to go through me first.”

The King’s smirk returned, sharp and predatory. “Oh, I intend to,” he said smoothly. “But not yet. For now, you will do as I say. The wedding will proceed, and your child will ensure my legacy.”

The room fell into a tense silence, Misery’s trembling hand still resting on her stomach. Adrian glanced at her, his expression torn between rage and desperation. He placed a hand over hers, his touch steady despite the storm raging within him.

“We’ll find a way,” he murmured, his voice barely audible. “I promise.”

The King returned to his throne, his sinister laughter filling the hall. “Prepare yourselves, my future King and Queen. Your reign begins now.”
