The Chosen Luna: Alpha’s Unwanted Daughter

Eryon Found

Ch. 429 / 790 May 05, 2026

The forest seemed to shift as Isla and Draven followed the faint scent trail, every step bringing them closer to the brother they’d lost. The air was heavy with dark magic, the trees looming like silent sentinels. When they stumbled into a clearing, they were startled to find Misery standing alone, her crimson eyes watchful.

“You found me,” Misery said, her tone guarded. She stepped forward, her slender form tensed for confrontation. “What are you doing here?”

Draven growled, his wolf bristling beneath his skin. “We’re here for Eryon. Where is he?”

Misery’s lips twitched into a faint, bittersweet smile. “You’ve got guts coming this far into Seraphine’s domain.” She hesitated before turning, motioning for them to follow. “Come. He’s… not who you remember.”

The journey to Eryon’s location was unnervingly quiet. The oppressive darkness grew thicker, punctuated only by the faint sound of distant whispers. When they reached a stone courtyard, they froze. Eryon stood at its center, his back to them, his body radiating with a raw, untamed energy.

Isla’s breath hitched at the sight of him. His once warm amber eyes were cold, his expression devoid of the familial warmth she remembered. His physique had changed too—his muscles more defined, his movements predatory, almost wolf-like even in his human form.

“Eryon,” Isla called softly, stepping forward.

He turned slowly, his gaze piercing. “Why did you leave me?” he asked, his voice low but laced with bitterness.

Isla faltered, guilt washing over her. “We didn’t leave you, Eryon. We were trying to protect you.”

“Protect me?” Eryon’s laugh was bitter, sharp. “You abandoned me. Threw me to the wolves—or in this case, the vampires.”

Draven’s patience snapped. “Watch your tone. We’re your family, not your enemies!”

Eryon’s jaw tightened, his loyalty visibly torn. Seraphine and Eira’s teachings loomed like a shadow over his mind. He stepped back, his body tense. “I don’t know if I can trust you.”

Before Isla could respond, a deafening roar erupted in the distance. Dark shapes began to move in the treeline.

“Too late,” Misery muttered, her crimson eyes narrowing. “They’re here.”

The Vampire King’s forces descended upon the courtyard, cutting off any escape.

The atmosphere shifted as the Vampire King’s imposing figure emerged from the shadows, his crimson eyes glowing like embers in the dim light. He stood tall and unyielding, his obsidian armor glinting with the faint red hue of the blood moon above. His generals followed in his wake, their presence amplifying the air of menace.

General Cael, a hulking figure clad in spiked black armor, stepped forward. His obsidian blades gleamed wickedly as he scanned the group. His gaze settled on Eryon, and a cruel smile spread across his face.

“You must be the infamous twin,” Cael sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. “Pathetic. Just like your sister.”

Eryon’s power flared around him, and he snarled. “You couldn’t take her. So now you’ve come for me? Who’s pathetic now?”

Cael’s expression darkened. With a roar, he charged, his obsidian blades slashing through the air. Eryon met him head-on, his unstable energy clashing against Cael’s brutal strength. Their battle was fierce, the courtyard shaking with each strike.

Isla and Draven joined the fight, their coordinated attacks focused on the shadow creatures swarming the area. Misery moved with deadly precision, her fangs flashing as she dispatched attackers trying to flank them.

“Eryon, focus!” Isla shouted as she deflected an incoming strike.

But Eryon’s recklessness made him an easy target. He channeled his unstable powers, blasting Cael backward, but the effort left him vulnerable. Cael seized the opportunity, lunging forward and driving one of his blades deep into Eryon’s gut.

“Eryon!” Isla screamed, her voice raw with panic.

Eryon crumpled to the ground, blood pooling beneath him. The Vampire King’s chilling laughter echoed through the courtyard as he stepped closer, his crimson eyes fixed on Isla and Draven.

“Your weakness is pathetic,” the King said, his voice smooth yet dripping with contempt. “This is what happens when you defy me. Your family fractures, your allies scatter, and you lose everything.”

Isla knelt beside Eryon, her hands trembling as she tried to stem the bleeding. Draven stood protectively in front of them, his body tense and ready to fight despite the overwhelming odds.

“Leave him alone!” Isla shouted, her voice breaking with desperation.
