Rhaegar
I was worried sick about her, and she was with Layth the whole night. I fumed when I saw him, and the fact that she was stopping me from killing him made it even worse. Nalya managed to calm me, and we walked back to town together. I grabbed her hand when I saw a cafe, and she followed me without protesting.
We sat at the corner table, and a slutty human waitress came to get our order. Her lust-filled gaze looked me up and down with a smile.
"Hello, what would you like to have?" she asked.
I held Nalya's hand over the table, " What would you like to drink, baby?"
She seemed a little surprised at the endearment but didn't show it in front of the waitress.
"I'll have a vanilla milkshake," she looked up at the waitress.
"And you, handsome sir?" she purred, making me cringe.
"I'll have a black coffee," I told her coldly. The waitress walked away, swaying her hips. Nalya sighed.
"Are you alright?" I asked.
"She likes you," she said, annoyed.
"I like you," I said, and she swallowed.
"You say that now, Rhaegar... I know your ways with women,"
Nalya heard the stories of me sleeping with different girls, but I have never been intimate with any female since her.
"I'm not like that anymore," I told her.
"But what if you want more?" her voice was low.
"I won't. You are my mate and all I want,"
The slutty waitress was back with our drinks. We silently took our beverages, with her looking out the window. Nalya's hand was on her stomach.
"Are you worried about being a young mom?" I asked. She moved her gaze to me and nodded.
"Don't worry. I'll be with you through it all. We'll raise our child together and instill in them the values we agree upon," I told her. She gave me a slight smile that made my inside warm.
"Should we go now? You seem tired,"
"Yes, but I'll use the restrooms first,"
She stood up and went to the bathroom. The waitress came immediately with the bill.
"Did you enjoy the drinks?" she asked.
"Yes,"
"I'm glad to hear that. I love to satisfy my customers especially one that looks like you," she said in a suggestive tone.
She sighed, frustrated when I didn't react to her words.
"Fine, I want you to fuck me," she said bluntly.
"Aren't you ashamed of yourself?" I asked, " Do you always throw yourself at men you don't know?"
She gaped at me and opened her mouth, "Just the ones that look like you," She winked and raised her hand to touch me, but I grabbed it... Tightly.
"You're hurting me," she whimpered.
"Don't attempt to touch me, or I'll break your arm. Am I clear?" I gritted my teeth. The waitress was in shock. I applied more pressure, and she nodded. I let it go, and she scurried away.
Nalya was back, and I smiled at her, "All good?"
"Hmm," she nodded.
We walked back to her apartment building.
"How long are you here for?" she asked.
"I came to take you home, Nalya, I can't leave you here unprotected,"
"I've lived here for over a month, and nothing bad has happened to me," she grumbled, crossing her arms against her chest.
"But you're pregnant now. I'm sure Layth knows, and whoever saw you in his pack. I couldn't risk it," I explained. " I know you want to stay, but you have to think of security first,"
"Will my child always be in danger?" she asked, worried.
"In the pack, it will be safe, but outside, yes. It is my heir, and I have enemies. I don't want to risk it," I said. The werewolf community loved me as their Prince, but I also made antagonists.
"I don't want to, Rhaegar," My name sounded nice on her lips, and I smiled. I caressed her pretty face and kissed her temple.
"Then I'll always be here until you're ready,"
"No! You're an alpha to a large pack, and you have work," she protested.
"And you have a life that I just can't disrupt. You've made it clear, I'll manage,"
"So you plan to stay in that hotel forever?" she asked.
"You can stay with me... As my mate, or anything you want," I suggested, but she shook her head.
"I like my apartment. I want to be me, not anyone's mate or girlfriend. I want to elevate myself and be the best version I can be," she said, rubbing her tummy. I was proud of her for thinking like that. I supported her 100 percent. I respected that she wanted to improve herself. I'll wait as long as I can.
"Then do you, and I'll wait patiently. For now, I want to spend time with you," I told her.
We got in an elevator to the fourth floor, and she opened the door. Her friend, Kiyana, ran to give her a tight hug.
"You will kill me with anxiety, silly girl,"
"Kiya, I'm alright. Sorry for worrying you," Nalya said. They pulled apart, and Kiyana looked at me, confused.
"I don't know how to greet you. Nate explained your rank to me and all," she panicked, and I chuckled.
"How about good evening, Rhaegar,"
Kiyana smiled at me for the first time since we met and bowed her head. "Good evening, Rhaegar,"
"Hello, Kiyana,"
"However, he told me to address you by your title in public," she noted.
Nalya was smiling at our interaction. I pulled her to me,
"I should go now. Good night,"
"Good night, Rhaegar," they said in unison and laughed. I kissed my hand as the door closed. I was smiling to myself. Today was progress.
As I left their building, I stopped walking to look around. I felt someone watching me. My wolf was on all fours and moved like lightning to the man standing in the corner of the building. I gripped his neck.
"Are you following me?"
The huge man was shaking, and I caught a whiff of his scent. He was a rogue.
"No sir. I -I was smoking," he showed me a bag of weed.
"Get out, and don't ever come near this place again," I threw him away, and he ran.
I mind-linked Nate.
'Rhaegar, are you alright,' he asked.
'Yea, so so good, actually,'
'I'm relieved to hear that,' he said.
'Can you send four of our men to watch Nalya's building? A rogue lurking around,' I told him.
'Did you question him?'
'Yes. He looked like a petty thief but I want to be safe,'
'On it,'
