The Alpha Prince's Redemption

She's Your Mate?

Ch. 58 / 83 Mar 16, 2026

Layth Pov

" Well, the woman is rogue, and without any documentation. We have clear instruction from the Alpha Prince not to let anyone in the main pack," The guard said.

My heart was thumping in my chest when I heard the woman was rogue. My wolf was whining, wanting us to go and see for ourselves if she was our mate.

Ever since my mate left, my wolf yearned and called for her desperately. I was a fool to let her go, but again, I was still in love with Nalya then, and I thought we'd have a chance. My wolf warned me not to let the lovely rogue go, but I didn't listen. She was not the mate I wanted.

I convinced Nalya to go to the hospital since I knew I would have no access later. I could hear my heartbeat in my ears as we approached the door, and when I entered the room, my breath caught in my chest.

" Mate,"

" Sister," Nalya whispered. We stared at each other.

" She's your sister?"

" She's your mate?"

She nodded, and I nodded before we both turned to look at her. She was beaten, badly, and my blood boiled with anger. I approached the bed and caressed her beautiful face, sparks erupted, and she sighed in relief. My touch was easing her pain.

Nalya just stood there, unmoving and glaring at her sister.

" Nalya, is everything alright,"

" I don't want that woman in my pack," she whispered and turned to leave. I followed her and rushed to her. I held her hand, and the two guards growled and almost lunged at me, but she stopped them.

" Get her away from here, Layth," she said.

" I don't think she's in any condition to be moved," I said. She bit her lips furiously, and her fists were in a ball. It was odd behavior from her. There was a story.

" I'm dying for a coffee, and you could use some tea. Let's go to the cafeteria," I said. She followed me there. I got her a warm beverage while I got a coffee.

" Tell me what happened between you and your sister," I told her gently. She looked at me for a long time, not knowing if she could trust me. I wish I could show her my heart. I had no ill will against her.

" Kaley is my half-sister. A few years older than me," she started. " She was so cruel to me along with my stepmother. They were one of the reasons I came here,"

As she continued to tell me what she suffered at the hands of her stepmother and sister, her eyes filled with tears. I held her hand, wanting to comfort her somehow.

" I'm sorry you had to go through that," I said.

" Thank you, but I'm okay now, and -" Before she could finish her sentence, a chilling growl erupted, and we got up. The alpha Prince glared at me as if I killed his mate, and almost jumped at me, but Nalya got in front of me. She wrapped her arms around his waist and bawled. Her crying took him aback and cupped her face gently.

" Baby, why are you crying?"

I couldn't imagine Rhaegar would be this delicate towards anyone. It's true what they said about the matebond. It made even the most powerful weakest.

" Why is my mate crying?" he snarled at me and turned to the two guards.

" And why did you let him near her?" he pointed. The guards explained what had happened with shaky voices, and Rhaegar growled in frustration.

" You have no right to be here. You're a guest in my-"

" My sister is the rogue they found," Nalya interrupted him. He stared at her.

" Oh babe, I'm sorry. We'll hold a proper-"

" She's not fucking dead!" I growled at him. Just the thought of her death drove me to the edge. Rhaegar was even more confused.

" Then why are you crying- Oh," Realization dawned on his face, and he hugged her.

" You won't see if you don't want to," he said, and she nodded like a child.

" She's my mate," I said.

" Good, take her away. As you can see. She's making my woman glum," he barked.

" I will," I murmured, still concerned about Nalya. She just broke down in tears when she saw Rhaegar. He carried her bridal style from the restaurant and left me with the guards. I turned to go back to my mate's room, but the guards stopped me.

" You heard your alpha. I should take my mate from here, but she's in no condition to leave, so I'll stay for a while. I'll speak to your beta about it," I informed them, getting my phone out of my pocket. Beta Nathaniel was more rational than Prince Rhaegar, I would explain to him. The guards nodded and lingered around while I went to Kaley's room. Who did this to her? I was going to kill them, I swear.

I examined her face. She was thinner than last I saw her, and her hair was longer. I caressed her pretty face, and tingles erupted under my skin. Light returned to her face, and her eyes slowly opened, only to close again.

I saw Nathaniel approach just as I left the room. His appearance was messy, and he looked pissed.

" How's your mate?" he asked.

" The doctors said she'll be alright. Just needs a lot of rest," I stifled a yawn, looking through the door.

" Did you reject her?" he asked his intense gaze on me.

" No, but I didn't say I wanted her either," I shrugged, and he shook his head.

" Damn, alphas. You can stay here for a while, but we'll be watching you," he warned. Alphas normally didn't stay in other territories, but since we are allies, and half my family is here. I had privileges.

I went to my mother's house and went straight to the guest bedroom. I was in turmoil. I didn't know what to do. Will Kaley agree to come to my pack? We didn't part on the best terms. I told her I didn't want her, and she shouted in my face the same and stormed out. I was dreading tomorrow.
