Nalya
I opened my eyes the next morning and stretched my limbs. I got off the bed and took a shower. I went to prepare breakfast in the kitchen. I made enough toast and eggs for two before going to wake Kiyana. We usually sleep in on Saturdays since both of us have no work. I pushed her door open but soon closed it when I saw her on top of Nate naked.
"Sorry!" I hollered.
"It's alright!"
I knew she would accept the bond sooner. Too much for having him wine and dine her a few months.
I sighed. Guess, I was eating breakfast alone. The doorbell rang, and I went to check. To my surprise, it was Azura and Zac.
"Surprise!" Azura shouted, pulling me for a tight hug.
"Azura, I wasn't expecting you here," I was ecstatic to see them. "Hello, Zac," I hugged him too.
I invited them in, and we exchanged pleasantries.
Azura was catching me up on what had been happening in their lives when Nate and Kiyana walked in.
"Beta?!" Azura and Zac said, standing up.
Nate felt awkward now.
"What are you doing here?" they asked.
"I'm asking the question, did you ask for authorization from anyone to come here?"
They both faced the floor.
"Did you not ask for permission?" I asked them.
"Not really, we didn't think we'd get caught," Azura looked guilty and embarrassed. Nate exhaled and ran a hand in his hair.
"You won't be punished this time, but this should never happen again. What you did is dangerous,"
Nate left, and I remained with my friends.
Azura glared at Kiyana who glared back. The two didn't like each other much because they always fought about the best friend status in my life.
I spent the day with my friends in town. It was a lovely day and later, we had dinner at the hotel they were staying at.
"I'm so glad you're pregnant. Imagine my love, me, a godmother!" Azura exclaimed.
"You'll rock," Zac said. Kiyana cleared her throat.
"Excuse me, but I'm the godmother," she said. I rolled my eyes. Here we go again.
"You already stole my best friend, now you want to get my right as godmother?!" Azura hit the table.
"It's only logical I should be. I'm older and more mature. I was there when she found out about the pregnancy, and I've been here since!" she retorted.
Zac extended his hand to me, and I took it. We sat on the balcony, leaving those two to bicker.
"How have you been, Nalya?" Zac asked. He seemed concerned, and I smiled.
"I've been well, Zac and you?"
As Zac and I talked, I found him insightful, and he gave great advice. He was wise beyond his age, and I'd never imagined.
I received a text from Rhaegar. He was checking up on me, and I responded immediately.
R; having fun with your friends.
N; Yes.
R; Good.
I had the most wonderful weekend with Azura and Zac. We visited the zoo, which scared me a lot, and visited the theme park. Unfortunately for me, the weekend was over, and they had to go back. I cried while saying bye to them, but they promised to visit again.
"It was such a good long weekend," I sighed.
"Yea. It was great, but who will be your child's godmother?" Kiyana asked. I ignored her question and went to the kitchen. I made fresh orange juice and brought her some.
"You're avoiding the question," she insisted.
"I don't know. Can't you both be?" I asked.
"No, and even if we could, they'd be godmothers one and two,"
"I'll let you settle it," I voiced, bored.
We watched our favorite TV sitcom. It was after seven when the bell door rang.
"Are you expecting someone?" she asked, and I shook my head.
"No,"
Kiyana opened the door. It was Rhaegar and Nate. I got to my feet. My heart beating wildly in my chest.
"Hey, handsome," Kiyana greeted Nate with a kiss. They kissed for a long time until we cleared our throats.
"Sorry," they muttered. They weren't. The lovers walked away. I was left with Rhaegar.
Rhaegar walked towards me and kissed my cheek. He stroked my hair and asked;
"How was your day?"
"Good, and yours?"
"It was alright,"
We took our seats, and he held my hand.
"Are you working tomorrow?" he asked.
"Yes, up to 12. I wanted to go to see a doctor," I said.
"You can't go to a human doctor. If we are to see a doctor for our baby, we'll go to the pack doctor, and drive back here," he said, holding my hand. I pulled it away from his grasp, and he looked hurt by my action. I stood up.
"I- I want to make tea. Would you like some?" I asked. He stood up and gently held my shoulders. Making me sit back.
"I'll make the tea. Just rest," he said. I gave him a small smile, and his eyes lit up. Rhaegar was back five minutes later. He gave me tea, and I tasted it. I gave him a thumbs up. He put the lemon just right.
We watched sitcom called The Big Bang Theory. We found everything funny. I caught Rhaegar staring at me as I laughed.
"What?"
"You have a pretty laugh. It's more of a chortle," he seemed amused. I blushed, not knowing how to respond.
"I like yours too," I said. It was a short chuckle but music to my ears.
"This is the first time you're giving me a compliment," he beamed.
"That can't be right. I told you're kind in the letter I left you," I said.
"I don't know about that," he mumbled.
"Oh, and I said you were good-looking in the laundry room sometime back," I remembered that day well. It was the first time we kissed.
"Do I still make you nervous?" he was playful.
"No way, I don't like you anymore," I crossed my hand against my chest proudly.
"I'll make you like me again," he was determined.
"We'll see," I was being cocky.
