"No, no. Not that incident!" the blonde guy said, knowing what I was thinking.
"And you don't have to be ashamed about that... you're smoking hot," he said.
"We are talking about the video of you and Azura kissing," they grinned, showing me. I gasped and covered my mouth. They slid to show me more pictures. We were drunk and doing crazy things.
"You're a sloppy drunk. Who knew?"
I blushed and left the boys chuckling. I went to the kitchen and closed the door. I hope everyone forgets about those embarrassing videos soon. I quickly made a sandwich and sat on the barstool to eat. However, it tasted horrible in my mouth.
"Hey, kiddo, Hungover?!" A voice startled me. I turned around and smiled at Nate. He sat next to me.
"I'm not a kid anymore," I grumbled. He patted my hair like he did the first time we met.
"You're a kid to me,"
"Nate, how old are you?" I asked.
"I'm 30 years old, just like Rhaegar," he said. So, we had a twelve-year-old! They were right to call me kid, but age gaps were nothing new since werewolves age slowly and can live up to five hundred years. I decided to tease him,
"You're an old man," he frowned at me, and I called him an old man again.
"I don't think I like that,"
"Let's agree,"
He put his palm under his chin, waiting for me to continue.
"Stop calling me kid, and I won't call you an old man,"
"Decline,"
"Such a stubborn old man,"
We bickered around until he asked;
"Why are you eating that?"
"I don't know what else to eat," I said.
"Hmm. I like eating chicken noodles when I have a hangover," he said, getting up and going to the other side. He pushed my plate away and said;
"I'll make you something else. Just wait,"
"You don't have to, Nate," He shook his head and was already getting things from the fridge.
"It's no trouble, and I can imagine the hangover won't let you cook much,"
"You saw the videos," I scowled.
"Oh, I was there," he jabbed a playful finger at me.
"I'm sorry," I found myself saying.
"For what?"
"Disappointing you, it was my first time drinking, and I didn't know that would happen,"
"You didn't disappoint me. It's normal for people your age to experiment on different things," he said, and I nodded.
I watched him make me a meal happily. Nate looked skilled in the kitchen.
"You know I've always wanted to be a chef," he said, tossing the knife in the air and catching it smoothly. I clapped.
"That was impressive. Why aren't you a chef?"
"I had a bigger calling, to serve and protect the werewolves of the domain," he sighed.
"What the difference,"
Nate laughed at that and disappeared into the pantry, he was carrying fruits when he came out, and I watched him chop them into a bowl.
"Do you like being Beta?" I asked. He waited for a second before answering.
"Yes, it's what I was born to do,"
"And you're doing a good job, but you can also be a chef,"
"I'll see," he smiled and pushed a bowl of hot noodles for me.
"Chopsticks," he snapped his fingers and brought them to me.
"I don't know how to use them," I blushed.
"Oh, that's easy,"
He got his bowl and showed me how to use the chopsticks, but it was hard for me, and they kept slipping off.
"I can't. Please get me a fork," I laughed.
The air in the room shifted, and I froze, knowing Prince Rhaegar entered.
I didn't turn to look at him. Instead, I focused on trying to use the chopsticks.
"Ok, you're done trying," Nate said and grabbed me a fork.
Kendrick sat on my right and grabbed Nate's bowl of noodles. Nate frowned, but the gamma only grinned. Rhaegar sat on my left, I didn't glance at him, but he was looking at me. I felt like I'd choke on the noddles anytime soon, the room was suddenly too hot for me, and my heart was pounding in my chest.
"Enjoying the food, Kid?" Nate asked, and I frowned at the nickname.
"Yes, old man," Rhaegar got the chopsticks I was using and ate from my bowl. I gasped, and he raised his eyebrows.
"Stingy?"
I rolled my eyes and continued to eat the spicy yet delicious food.
"Told you I make the best noddles,"
"They are really good, thanks, Nate," I said, drinking my water.
"You're welcome. How do you feel now,"
"Better, I will go now,"
"Where are you going?" Rhaegar asked, should I answer him?
"At Azura's,"
"Why?"
"I want to see how she's doing,"
"I'll take you," Nate and Rhaegar offered. I looked between them, Rhaegar seemed annoyed with Nate, but the beta was casual.
"No, thanks. I'll walk. It's not far from here," I said and walked out. I wasn't yet outside when Rhaegar held my hand tightly and took me to the garage. I pulled free from him and glared at him.
"What?"
