"It's no problem," they said.
I saw the supervisor, and unlike what Azura said, the interview was not straightforward, but he gave me the job, and I was to start the next day.
I went out to tell them the good news, and they were happy for me; "Such a shame today is Monday. We could have gone out to celebrate your new job."
"Since when has that stopped you," Zac said.
"Since I failed three subjects and repeated the whole year," she scowled.
"We should celebrate next week on Saturday," she said. I nodded.
I spent the next few days quietly. I did my duty in the pack house and went to the country club. The club was always busy and affluent people went so I got tips. A woman gave me fifty just for telling her which hat was more flattering on her. I hope to have enough money by this month's end and leave for the human town Azura told me about. It was not far from here, but it was a good start.
"The men by the pool want drinks," my boss told me. I frowned and bit my lips, not too eager. Those men like it when I serve them. They give me looks that make me uncomfortable, especially with the short uniform I wore.
The bartender put a tray in my hands and gestured for me to smile politely.
"The more you smile, the bigger the tips... Learn that," Bryant winked. I sighed and took the trays to the partygoers.
"Gentlemen, drinks," I said.
"I want two mojitos and ginger tonic," One said close to my face. He looked over his shoulder and asked the girl in the pool.
"Anything for you, sweetheart,"
"No!" she answered.
Bryant made the drinks and served them. The man looked charmingly at me, and put a couple of bills on my shirt.
"Get something on me," he smirked, and I turned around quickly, with my wolf hearing, I heard one of them say;
"Dude, I can pipe her so hard,"
"Murder her sweet pussy," another said. Their comments made me sick to my stomach.
"She beautiful,"
I went to the lockers and removed the money he gave me. It was so much!
I finished my shift around 8 p.m. The streets were empty tonight. I reached the pack house in ten minutes, and to my surprise, Alpha Prince Rhaegar was pacing in the foyer as though in deep thought. He noticed me immediately and let out a sigh. He attempted to come to me, however, Antonia went right in front of him to kiss him deeply.
I felt a sharp pain in my chest and quickly walked out at lightning speed. Reaching my room, I sat on the edge of my bed as what happened replayed in my head. She kissed him, and he didn't push her away.
Tears built up in my eyes, but I refused to cry. I only stood up once the pain in my chest completely dissipated and made my way to the showers. I took my time there while everyone was still in the hall.
I came out of the shower stall only to find my clothes gone, and there was no towel in sight, only a small one that could barely cover my body. I paced around the bathroom, not knowing what to do. I tried to look out the window but no one was around. I popped my head out to check the corridors. It was empty. I wrapped the small towel around me and ran for it, but I didn't make it far when I saw Bithia and Uria blocking my path.
"Hi, hi," Bithia smiled deviously.
"Enough, you two," my voice quivered, glaring at them. I'm sure they hid my clothes.
"Not so courage now, are you?" Uria said. " Did I tell you the little bitch slapped me?"
Bithia clicked her tongue and grabbed a strand of my hair, pulling it.
"Look here, you're a rogue who doesn't belong here, and you should leave this pack before something bad happens to you," she threatened. I pushed them aside but Uria grabbed the towel, leaving me naked. I heard footsteps as everyone came from the hall. I huddled in the corner with my head pressed against my knees.
"Wow, she looks like a goddess!" I heard someone scream. There was a buzz of excitement through the crowd, and I'm sure everyone saw me.
"Is that the Rogue?"
I heard clicking sounds while Bithia and Uria laughed at me.
A deafening growl erupted amid the crowd. Everyone was silent. I stayed in the same position even as steps approached me.
"I have tolerated you enough. You'll pay dearly for this," Rhaegar growled at them. I could hear how mad he was from his tone, and I felt something heavy on my shoulders. I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes and got on my feet, running to my room. I locked the door and threw myself on the bed, sobbing.
