Methis Delis POV
“The SUV? Of course, I remember it. Why did you look at it so weirdly earlier when it almost hit me?”
“I’ve seen that car pop up at every location we’ve been to today.” Xander’s tone was very serious and worrying now.
“What do you mean?” I asked. My voice shaking. It was the first time I’ve seen Xander serious about anything and it made so much sense that even the most unserious person would be very serious about their own safety and the safety of those closest to them.
“It showed up at the medieval restaurant, it showed up at the tourist temple, it showed up at the club where it nearly hit you.” Xander’s stare bore a deep hole in my head as he said his next bone-chilling words. “Now it is showing up here.”
Immediately Xander said those words, I turned to see the black SUV reverse and disappear into a street.
I looked back at Xander. “What the hell?”
“We need to leave. NOW!”
“If we leave what then?” I asked. “It is just going to follow us and know our houses.”
“Which one of us?”
I and Xander pondered on the danger at hand.
“I have an idea.” Xander looked unsure of his own plan. He was heavily doubting it himself.
“What is the idea?” I ask.
“We make the stalker believe we live around here. We split up and we see which one he follows.”
“Alright.”
Perhaps splitting up was not the best option but I really wanted to see who the car follows. To be honest, I was sure it was after Xander. I could not think of anybody who wanted to stalk me. I was uninteresting to follow around. Xander on the other hand was not.
I and Xander hugged, then parted ways, acting as if we were going our separate ways. “Don’t stray too far,” Xander whispered in my ear before breaking the hug.
I took a right turn and Xander a left. After walking for about three minutes, I turned around and saw no trace of the black SUV. I sighed but was now worried that the stalker was after Xander. I turned back the way I came and begun to walk back to where we had parted ways when I saw the SUV parked far ahead with its engine turned off.
“Methis.” I heard an oddly familiar voice.
I looked around and I almost fainted.
Jamal Kunis POV
“Are we going to do this all day or do you actually have a plan?” Autumn whispered in my ear as we silently sat in our car outside a medieval-themed restaurant.
After I had kissed my kids good night, I had made arrangements the next day for us to go to the human world to get my mate, their mother. With the help of the White Witch’s magic, we were able to pinpoint her location and I was informed that she was a senior in her college.
That was enough information to get me to her so in the morning, I set out with my twin kids, Summer and Autumn and we were off to the human world.
I had summoned all my guards and servants to the throne room for an announcement. When they were all present, I broke the news of my departure to them.
“I will be leaving the palace and in fact the realm of the wolves for a short period of time to attend to some other matters. In my place, I set Conrad, my Beta, in charge of all the affairs of the realm. He would take my stead and act as if he were me. He would rule with my judgment, and slay with my sword if need must be. As such, I demand full cooperation from all of you. I’m I clear?” I called out and they all responded in the positive.
“You are leaving me in charge of the realm?” Conrad asked me as we were alone by a corridor. “Why?”
“Will you rather have me leave it in the hands of one of the elders?”
“Definitely not.”
“Just as I thought you’d say.” I smiled. “They’ll waste all day arguing petty issues and I have had enough of it. I trust you with the kingdom more than I will ever trust anyone with it.”
“What if I burn it to the ground?”
“Then get ready to build it back up.”
We both laughed and Conrad bid me farewell.

The human world was quite different from what was typical in the werewolf realm. The most notable difference was that they were no random wolves running around. Also, the humans knew of our existence, not in the sense that they were aware that we existed, but in the sense that they had conceptualized us before and from what I saw, everyone’s account varied from each other and we were like a joke to them. Asides that, the human world had its many absurdities. Absurdities that I was not ready to explore. I had come here for a reason and that reason was to find my mate. Nothing more. I was going to focus on that and that alone.
It did not take a very long time to find Methis. She was exactly where the White Witch said she was going to be. At school. I had taken my kids along with me and we had followed her the first time.
We waited for her at her school until we saw her then we followed. My original plan was just to come out and talk to her but it was more difficult than I had imagined it in my head. What I had imagined was that I’ll just come out of the car and once I spoke, she would run into my arms but my judgement led me differently. What if I followed her first? Then that would be a more tactical approach and I would be aware if I had to take some precautions before I approached. Maybe there was something I had to put into consideration.
