Be the Alpha
Almano took Bella to the bunker where Coast was locked up,
The roars and growls of Knight, Coast's wolf could be heard before they could even open the hatch.
Bella took the first step in climbing down the stairs. She found Knight bound with silver chains to his neck, she could see the bruises on his neck just from the silver.
"Coast" she called him in pity. Seeing him chained up like that was agonizing for her to see, she felt sorry for him. She could bet he was in so much pain.
"Coast" she tried to move closer.
"Bella get back, he might hurt you" Almano cautioned her but she didn't listen to him.
"He is my mate, he would never hurt me" she stated and kept going closer until she heard a growl from him. It was an unexpected growl that she should have taken as a warning from Knight.
"Coast, it's me" she said again to see if he would recognize her, it was uncalled for, for him to growl at her.
"It's your mate Bella" she tried to explain to him.
A roar escaped Knight's lips as he moved slowly towards her, Bella who had intended on going to him began to pull back in fear of what he might do to her.
His eyes were red and fixed on her as he got closer to her, she accidentally fell down in fear of him.
Almano couldn't watch Bella being cornered by Knight so he rushed to save her when Knight jumped in the air to attack but was pulled back by the chains on his neck and he ended up scratching Bella's arms when she tried to cover herself from him.
"I told you not to go closer to him" Almano cautioned her for being stubborn and not listening to him, now she was wounded.
Bella stared at Knight in horror, she never thought that Coast could actually hurt her, she watched him as he kept growling at them then it dawned on her that he didn't know her. Bella assimilated if those chains weren't on his neck then he would have killed her already. She felt so sad that he couldn't recognize her at all, it was hurtful to know that her mate was lost to her.
"Is all these necessary?, did you really have to put a chain around his neck. That is silver, don't you know that it is hurting him" Bella voiced out mad that they could treat Coast in such manner.
"If those chains weren't there then you would be dead by now. Be grateful that you are still alive.
I had warned you he wasn't himself but you wouldn't listen to me and got yourself an injury. Are you happy now?" He remarked scolding her.
"You guys did this to him, my mate would never hurt me. This is all your fault and then you still had the guts to lock him up like this" she uttered. She grabbed Almano by his shirt demanding that he took of the chains.
"And so what?" He answered.
"What did you do to him, why is he acting this way?, why can't he recognize me" she inquired. Bella was so broken that Coast couldn't recognize to the point that he would think of hurting her.
Tears rolled of her eyes realizing that the father of her child was no longer himself, he was gone and had turned into a beast that couldn't even recognize his own mate.
"Let's go" Almano dragged her out of there while she kept struggling with him.
Bella began to wonder how she could reach out to Coast for him to recognize her, she had thought that going to him would help him change back to his human self but that did not work.
After taking Bella to her room, Almano returned to give the news to his mother, he had already informed her about Bella's intended visit to see Coast and she was eager to know what would happen.
"So did anything happen?" She asked once he walked into her room.
"He almost tried to kill her" he said with a smirk on his face. They had guessed that Coast would not recognize Bella and when that happened Almano felt very happy about it. This would show Bella that her mate was gone and that she would never have him back to her again. It was enough for him to know that.
"I knew the potion was very strong, no one has ever survived it" Adeline bragged.
"So what do we do with him now, I think it is time we finish him off" Almano suggested still with the idea that Coast should be killed so that he could rest and take Bella as his. It was his long and expected desire.
"We cannot do that now, the people are still watching. We have take all power before we finish him off" She suggested to him and he was confused by what she meant.
"Take all power, what does that mean?" He asked about to listen to the new plans of his mother.
"Have you ever thought of being an Alpha?" She asked him.
"What are you talking about?" He looked confused by what she meant.
"I have dreamt of the day my own son would become an Alpha, your father was an Alpha and you have his blood. Don't you think it is time for you to rule this pack?" she asked making her way into his head making him begin to think things he had never thought of.
"So you are saying that I can become the Alpha of this pack replacing Coast?" He asked her.
"Yes, it is also your birthright" she replied with a smirk.
"What if the pack doesn't accept it" he asked again concerned if it might turn the pack against them for creating a new alpha when the main Alpha is still alive.
"They have no choice, you are his brother which means you are next in line to be the Alpha. All the guards around are our men so they won't stop us. The gamma wouldn't dare to step his leg in this castle to stop us because he would be killed by our men. Coast on the other hand is not himself and cannot change back to stop it and neither can Bella do anything because she is all alone and weak" she convinced him and a smile formed on his face hearing such news, he became anxious to become the Alpha and show to Coast that he could be a much better Alpha than he was.
"What do you think?, All these found be yours" She demanded whispering in his ears.
"I'm in" he answered and she smiled happily over that.
"Why don't you return to your room while I make the arrangements for you. I can assure you that nothing will go wrong" she stated. Adeline had waited so long for this day, the day that her son would have a pack all to himself and all that was happening. Her plans for revenge had gotten her to a point that her son would be coronated as the next Alpha in a pack that belonged to his father. When she was pregnant with him, it was all she ever wished for but when Coast banished her, her dreams were cut short and all she could think about was taking her revenge on him but now that all that was done. She was prepared to move on my making her son become the Alpha. She vowed to make sure nothing got in her way and would make it a success.
Almano left his mother's room really happy, being an Alpha was a big plus for him but to couple with that, he was going to have Bella as his Luna. Being the Alpha meant that Bella had no choice but to submit to him, she might be the Luna but she would be subject to him when he becomes the Alpha. He could claim her as his own and would have a taste of her finally, it was like a dream come true for him. He walked down the hallway until he paused at Bella's door,
"You will soon be mine and I will never let anyone else have you" he whispered to himself as he smiled. He was finally going to have the woman he desired whether she was his mate or not. Coast may never be able to turn back to himself which meant that he wouldn't be able to stop him no matter how hard he tried. He hardly even knew what was going on.
He opened the door to her room and found her sleeping, he wished he could get in and lay with her but he stopped himself, he had to patient if he wanted her. In a few days time, he would be Alpha and he could have her whenever he wants and she won't be able to resist him.
"All mine" he whispered and closed the door leaving her to sleep.
